Charming chalet-style cabin in a 4-season community for outdoor enthusiasts. Nestled in a quiet wooded area in the mountains of Alpine Lake Resort, WV. WiFi great for virtual work and school! Family/friends have plenty of room; full kitchen with open floor plan, large windows & pine ceiling, 5 BRs with high quality beds and bedding, family rm, comfy loft, cathedral ceiling, game room, fire place inside & fire pit outside, spacious yard for group games. 2 decks w outdoor grill. Free parking. Most resort amenities are free for our guests. Walk 5 blocks to the Lake's beach, paddling, fishing, tennis, basketball & 1.5 mile to workout gym, indoor heated pool, 18 holes of golf with gorgeous views, mini golf, XC ski & sledding. 20mi to DeepCreek Lake in MD & WISP Ski, 40 miles to Canaan Valley Ski, Timberline Ski & White Grass XC ski. State parks everywhere within 10-50 miles away and more. Guests that book will be given a 'Things To Do in the Area' detailed planning guide.

We had a wonderful stay at the chalet! We stayed with 4 children and 5 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone. My only regret is that we did not stay longer. We will certainly be returning.

Quiet cozy stay with great amenities

The cabin was clean, cozy and great for two families including our pets. The nearby lake, golf course, and indoor swimming pool were all a definite plus.

We enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Cozy Cabin. We had a family group of 9 for our stay. We loved the large family room connected to the kitchen and the large outside deck immediately outside with a great propane gas grill. All communications with our host, Ellisa, were excellent, and we really appreciated her personal welcome note and the bottle of wine provided on arrival. Bill C.

Wonderful winter stay

Enjoyed a nice weekend winter stay with friends at the chalet. Ample rooms, comfy beds, abundent supplies, games, and firewood in a beautiful location. It snowed 4 inches the second day we were there and the host kindly extended our checkout time so we had enough time to shovel out our cars

Perfect for our family

We had many family members and kids and this worked well for everyone. The house has lots of places to sit and chat and my sons could walk to the beach or lake house and fish. Ellisa is extremely communicative and responsive to any questions. The house was clean and well kept!

Family visit

We came to visit our daughter, son in law and grandchild who are Alpine Lake residents. We also visited with few of our other children. The home was perfect for our needs and very comfortable.

Clean, comfortable, and roomy property. Ellisa was very attentive to my questions and needs. It was a short trip, but we have family in the area and will be back! If yu haven't been to the area you will be impressed with all of your outdoor options with-in 20 miles. (and there on the resort)

Perfect Holiday Hideaway

The Chickadee Chalet was the perfect spot for our family to kick off the holidays making memories together! The property was in the beautiful Alpine Lake Resort area nestled in a private lot. The cabin was immaculate, well equipped and filled with extra touches! Our children, grandchildren and parents made memories creating, sledding and playing games by the fire all weekend! A definite dream weekend at one of the best pros we’ve ever rented!

Fabulous cabin, well stocked and filled with diversions! So many beds!! We had a great time and especially liked sitting out enjoying the fireflies. Owner was very easy to work with. No issues. I would stay again!!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This cabin offers a comfortable space to be together and make new memories while also offering many recreational opportunities both on the cabin's property (fire pit and group yard games) and in the surrounding resort. Within 1.5 miles or less are all of the Alpine Lake Resort ammenities including a lodge restaurant, a pub, 18 hole beautiful golf course, tennis, pickle ball, basketball, dog park, lake paddling and swimming, fishing, walking/hiking, playground, XC skiing/snow shoeing, sledding, indoor swimming pool, well-equipped workout gym, various resort festivals, etc. Within 40 miles or less are lots of state parks, white water rafting, biking, mountain towns for shopping/church, snow skiing, motor boating, breweries, wineries, farm tours and many more adventures.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We allow our guests to use our canoe (in warm months) on Alpine Lake only for free as long as everything is returned. We also allow our guests to use the firewood, as long as it is available. We provide you with pool passes to get you into most of the resort ammenities for free. We give you one bag of complimentary marhmallows and roasting sticks. We also provide you with a cup of bird feed so that you can enjoy the multitude of birds at the feeder right outside the cabin's main windows. All linens, towels, pillows, cooking utensils, etc are provided. One of everything (toilet paper, paper towels, etc) is provided until you can get to the grocery store to stock up.
Although there is a crazy amount of things to do within 19-45 miles from this cabin, there are loads of things to do for all ages within this cabin's Alpine Lake Resort community as well. In addition, we find that most people love the relaxing moments they get to have in the cabin, communing with family and friends and/or slowly enjoying a refreshing cup of whatever on the cabin's decks and/or around the fire pit while enjoying the wildlife (expect to see deer, bears, oppossum, birds, etc) and surrounding lush forest of oaks, maples, firs, rhodendrons, ferns and mountain laurels.
