Great location on Nettles Island

We in enjoyed our 2 week stay. Only complaint was, although overall in was clean, the floors could use a good scrubbing. Otherwise, I would stay here again and recommend it as a nice getaway.

We had a wonderful time at nettles Island. This space was great for myself, my husband, and our two young sons. There were plenty of towels, and the place was in good shape, very clean.

Property was exactly as expected and very clean.

My husband and I rented the property for 14 nights and we had an amazing time. The home was spacious and clean with everything you need to prepare meals.

Great vacation

This was a great property with so many amenities--well stocked kitchen, many towels, lovely sheets on beds. Comfortable beds. We also enjoyed availability of two pools. Nettles Island has many activities and everyone very friendly.

Perfect Location

Williams property was perfect for our needs. It was close to the beach, super clean and has everything that you need for a beach vacation. All recommendations were great and it is a very quiet and friendly neighborhood. We would stay again in the future.

Christmas in the sun

Cute place, centrally located on the island, great amenities both on the island and in house. Lots of dishes, pots, pans, towels, etc. Brand new beach chairs were delivered when we arrived.

Spring Break Trip

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay in Nettles. This rental was well equipped with the necessities. Kitchen was fully stocked, two beach chairs were provided. The beds were clean and comfortable. Beach and Bath towels were provided as well. The twin double beds also have a trundle as well. I would say the place was clean but could use a deep clean, floors, baseboards, wash machine. But nothing that affected our stay. Also, the coffee maker is on the smaller side. Maybe bring your own if you need more than one cup. Our family loved Nettles the beach, fishing, golf cart rides, and the activities at the club house.

Wonderful stay!

We had a great time at this clean and cozy cottage. Lots of space to spread out. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of nice bath towels and several beach towels. Lots of dishes, pans, and kitchen items that were in great condition. Loved having my morning tea on the front porch (always shaded). The hosts were very attentive and responded quickly with questions and even shared some fresh mackerel that was caught that day by their son. There is so much to do on Nettles Island and such friendly people. I would definitely come back again!

Great getaway by the beach!

My husband and I spent 6 nights at William & Amy’s property on Nettles Island. Their place is very comfortable and spotless. I was very impressed by how quickly they responded to our text messages. I never waited more than a couple of minutes for a response to any inquiry. Although we didn’t do much cooking, the kitchen was well equipped with everything you needed. We totally enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Busy Area

The home was renovated, clean and kitchen was stocked. The location was further from the beach than expect. You had to cross a causeway and there was a lot of traffic in Nettles Island. The golf cart should of been included in the rental and not be an additional fee.

Mixed Bag

Nettles is best for retirees & those 70+. A Golf-cart community with ‘Park Models’, mobile homes, RVs and some site-builds tightly positioned on this man-made island. Safe & secure. All the activities you might desire in the park (bubble) - will need to go offsite for good groceries with many restaurant choices within a 5-20 min drive. 1 pool in park/on island and a second across the street (A1A) with beach access. Get ready to hear life stories, and to be asked about yours. Our unit was spacious by mobile home standards but not without some quirks: • Upon arrival we were met with guests who had checked into our unit mistakenly by receiving information from the property owner in error. This was quickly resolved! • Unit has awnings on the front and back… Winds cause the awnings fill and release, creating similar sounds as sails lufting - sound/noise is increased in the interior by force of the wind … By appearances, this cannot be adjusted by tightening. The more wind, the more banging noises - May want to bring your noise canceling headphones. • Had one of those Florida bugs (that don’t like light of day) present itself in the bathroom in the evening hours during the first week - smashed it with the broom… apparently, its friend was lonely, so it came looking for it the second week, and repeated the process. Called the property owner and apparently they are spraying. Hey - it’s Florida - where there are Palmetto’s, there are Palmetto bugs :)
