We have opened our beach home for winter rental in 2017! Hot tub is running and available for use. We have all premium channels for your TV viewing pleasure! Off season rates. Enjoy your vacation in the comfort of an over 9,000 square foot house nestled among pine trees in the very desirable North Bethany community of Ocean Ridge East. This house has a private outdoor hot tub. The ground floor has a dressing area with shower, bathroom, laundry room with washer/dryer and an extra new refrigerator for cold drinks, and lots of storage for beach supplies. On the main floor you will enter the grand foyer complete with a lovely handcrafted black iron chandelier. Bamboo floors run throughout the main and upper floors. You can spend some quiet time unwinding on old-fashioned rockers on the front porch or relaxing in your over-sized suite. You may want to cook in the extra large kitchen, complete with farm-style sinks, new refrigerator with an ice and water dispenser, 2 dishwashers, a double oven and a large, central granite-topped island with sink. The outside deck, just off the kitchen, has a new continuous feed gas grill and generous seating available. In the family room, enjoy the 55' high-definition TV. During the colder months, a gas fireplace warms and adds coziness to the family room. Upstairs, play pool in the game room or watch TV with gaming capability. This house has 7 oversized bedroom suites, each with a private bathroom and/ or tub/shower, spacious closets and a private outdoor balcony. Four of these bedroom suites have king beds. The remaining three bedroom suites have queen-sized beds. All suites have TVs. The third floor is a loft area with children's toys, TV with video game capability, 2 air hockey games, ping pong table, reading nook, plus 4 mini bedrooms with twin-size beds, 8 beds total--perfect for rainy days or to keep children entertained in their own area so you can relax! The third floor also has a bathroom.

A retired teacher, I am the mother of 5 children, 4 daughters and 1 son, with many grandchildren, and love to spend time with my family. I enjoy the simple things in life - growing produce fresh from my garden, crafts, cooking, in addition to travel and learning about different people and cultures. I am a beach person. Nothing makes me happier than sitting under my umbrella (or not - depending), listening to the waves and the seagulls, feeling the sea breeze, and reading a juicy book or doing needlepoint.

We built this home for our large family, with 5 children, their spouses, and 8 grandchildren (and counting). We do our best to treat our guests like our family. We hope you enjoy all the special personal touches throughout the house! My home in Millville is minutes away, so I am available to attend to my guests. I am not an absentee owner.

We built this home for our large family, with 5 children, their spouses, and 8 grandchildren (and counting). We do our best to treat our guests like our family. We hope you enjoy all the special personal touches throughout the house! I enjoy sharing produce from my garden in Millville, which is only 4 miles away. Lettuce in June, tomatoes, squash, and cucumbers in July - August. Our beach house is one of the largest in Bethany Beach. It was built mainly for multi-generational families to spend quality time together and to enjoy one of the most beautiful, private, guarded beaches in Delaware.

Lots of space for extended family!
House never felt full .. and everyone was able to find a quiet place to hide. Kitchen was well equipped (bring your own sharp knives!) but could get a bit crowded and a larger dining table would have been nice - there is only a table for 6, with another 6-8 tall chairs around the island. Also, sound carries from the kitchen so you might consider keeping the lighter and later sleepers off of the first floor. Walk to the not-very-crowded beach was about 5 minutes -- not a problem at all. Tennis court and swimming pool across the highway were in great shape and it was not too difficult to cross the road. Road noise in the morning -- while drinking coffee on one of the west side decks - could get to be a bit loud. However, sleepers on the west side of the house did not seem to complain about the noise - although mine is a family that swears by sound machines. Temperature control was a bit tricky - the 3rd floor can get warm and the thermostat is on the second floor, so the second floor rooms can get quite chilly. Access to a grocery store is easy as is the drive to Bethany Beach or Dewey/Rehoboth. Our family really enjoyed running and bicycling the park across the highway as well as up and down Route 1 (just be careful!) We have just returned home and are not sure of family plans for next year, but would consider renting again.
Great place for a vacation!
We loved this place. It was big enough for everyone. There was always something to do with the many activities provided.

If you are looking for a house to fit your whole entire family or lots of friends, this is the house. The house is very large with 3 floors and has lots of amenities. It has a hot tub in working clean condition, pool table, and lots of games available to you as well. The kitchen is also very large and has all the necessary pots/pans, dishes, and silverware you need. There is also a grill and nice deck. From what i recall the house can hold 20+ people with at least 7 bedrooms each with their own bathrooms. There are also lots of bunk beds upstairs in the attic as well. I really enjoyed the owners, they were very helpful and sweet. They even allowed some friends to stay past the check-out time without charge. There are no sheets so be sure to bring your own and towels unless you want to pay for them. The only downside to the house is that it is definitely on the older side with not so many modern fixtures and appliances. It looks like it could use a little TLC, but just a little! It is also only a block from your own private beach that is very quiet and nice and away from OC craziness, if that is what you are looking for.
Enormous house with close proximity to the beach
We stayed at this house for a long holiday weekend to celebrate a big family birthday. There were 15 of us, including 7 teenagers. This house was perfect for us. It is huge. We could've easily fit another family. The bedrooms are large, there is plenty of living area space and the kitchen is ample. While the property isn't on the beach, it's a quick and easy walk. The beach is lovely - no crowds even on a holiday weekend. The hot tub is in beautiful condition and was very clean. The outside grill was large and in good condition. Lots of spaces to park. The beds were comfortable. It is fabulous that each bedroom has its own bathroom. There are no shops or restaurants walking distance but downtown Bethany is a quick 3 miles away. Nancy was lovely to work with - always responded to my emails and came over as soon as we got into the house to show us around. She was kind enough to let us in early since the cleaning people had left.
The few drawbacks that prevent me from giving this house a 5 start rating: The house backs onto Coastal Highway. You can hear cars whizzing by at night from several of the bedrooms and when sitting out on the deck. My other issue is with the deck. While there are many little decks, it is surprising that in a house this large, there isn't a large deck area with a lot of seating. The main deck has a small table that seats 4. With so many people in a house, that was insufficient in my opinion. We would've liked to dine outside more. Also, while the furnishings are tasteful and comfortable, some of them are looking a bit worn and tired like the sofas in the front room.
Overall, great house for several families staying together. You'll never feel on top on each other!

The house was huge and very comfortable. Loved the fact that all bedrooms were suites and no one had to share bathrooms. The pool table received a lot of use, as did the hot tub. Plenty of room for everyone. The only problem was our stay was too short!

Our stay was short but was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone! The house is indeed huge! We had a wonderful time, just wish we could have stayed longer. The pool table was a big hit, as well as the hot tub. Everyone appreciated the large bedroom suites and not having to share bathrooms. Plenty of room everywhere!

WINTER off-season rentals are available for 2017! We have our hot tub running and professionally maintained all winter. Additionally, we have all premium channels available for your viewing pleasure, including HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, and Encore as well as the NFL Network - all HD. New foosball table. We will be offering two private outdoor showers under our beach home in the Spring of 2017! This is an exclusive, quiet gated beach community comprised of large beach homes. Our home is a short block away from the private beach (one of the widest and prettiest along this stretch of coastline), and across the street there is a private access pool and tennis court. This area is about 2 miles north of downtown Bethany Beach, where there is a nice boardwalk with plenty of restaurants, shops, mini-golf and bars. We are somewhere between 5-8 miles south of Dewey and Rehoboth Beaches, which have even more activities, with social venues including live music and pubs, amusement parks, quaint neighborhoods and to-die-for outlet mall shopping (no sales tax!).
The landscape is ocean, beach and marsh. Many water-based activities are available, including boating, fishing and crabbing.
