About this property

Alpine Setting Nestled Against the National Forest

This 4000 sq. ft. luxury chalet is located on the mountainside minutes from Vail & Beaver Creek Ski Resorts. The alpine setting offers spectacular views and backs up to the National Forest. Hiking trails are a short walk from the property.

Our home has three levels with 4 bedrooms plus a 5th bedroom off the master, and 3.5 bathrooms. The first level has 3 bedrooms, one with a king, one with a queen (with ensuite bathroom) and the last with a queen bunkbed with twin on top. There is a great game and tv room on the first floor.

The master bedroom suite occupies the top level with a king bed. The office off the master has been converted to a bedroom with a queen bed (perfect for families). The master suite has cathedral ceilings and decks on two sides. The master has its own refrigerator, whirlpool tub, gas stove and TV

The center level (great room) is one large room perfect for entertaining. This whole level has been recently remodeled. Wood floors throughout and an all new kitchen with granite counter tops new cabinets and appliances. There is also a built in bar with refrigerator and ice maker. Leather couches, gas fire place, large dining room table, TV and panoramic views, make it a great place to spend with the group.

The great room has large decks wrapping around the building along with 5 sliding glass doors that open onto the decks. The kitchen is part of the great room and does not separate the cook from the party. We just put in all new rock fireplace and 65 inch TV with Bose sound system. The rock is the same as the Four Seasons in Vail. The gas fireplace will keep the whole great-room warm even when the outside temps are well below zero. The hot tub is on the deck right off the great room and has 2 motors running 56 jets to sooth the aching muscles.

The cable and internet are provided by Comcast/Xfinity. The internet package is the fastest package available in the area, perfect for multiple working groups.

The garage will hold two cars and is heated. The driveway is heated as well and the county takes very good care of the road up to the home.

The Ring Camera at the front door is active and viewing the exterior only of the home for our guests safety.

The best we’be stayed in Beaver Creek!

Such an expansive floor plan, and stocked with everything we could ask for; we can tell the owners put careful thought into the needs for any age range of family members. The location is just a hop / skip from the ski resorts, which was also very convenient!We hope to stay here again should we be in the area!Chris

Winter Getaway

This was the perfect place for us to gather with friends for a winter trip to the mountains. Very convenient for skiing both Beaver Creek and Vail, amazing accommodations, and outfitted with pretty much everything you could possibly need. We had a wonderful time.

Best accomodation we have enjoyed off the mountain in Beaver Creek - Vail area. Great layout for extended families with children and adults to enjoy. A few stairs to access the house from the garage, but undercover and dry. Highly recommended.

The most meticulously appointed rental I've ever been in

This property was absolutely excellent. They thought of everything when stocking it. The sleeping spaces where great and very comfortable. The group spaces were very large so that you never felt like you were on top of each other and cleaniness was top notch. The only item I would note is that if you are mobility limited, there are several steps to climb to enter the unit.

Great family gathering!

The spacious, open-floor-plan home was wonderful for gathering as a family! Our four adult children, spouses and 2 grandchildren spent the week skiing Vail and Beaver Creek, and exploring the local shops. Family meals were enjoyed at the large dining table and evenings were spent together in the large family room by the gas fireplace and in the hot tub. Plenty of comfortable beds and bathrooms for everyone! The kitchen was well appointed, and among other amenities included were three pack and play cribs and a nice stroller, which were very convenient when traveling with children! We highly recommend this beautiful property for a family trip!

Summer fun

Family of 9 with three kids under 7 ,house main floor was absolutely perfect! Wide open fantastic views all around. This home was the best equipped VRBO we have stayed in. Charming home overlooking Eagle-Vail

We had a wonderful stay with kids and grandkids. All 8 of us had plenty of room to spread out and relax. This home is very well appointed and beautifully decorated. Comfy beds and very large kitchen. Super convenient to Vail Village and Avon whitewater on the Eagle River. Less than an hours drive to Breckinridge and Copper Mountain. Also close to Vail Pass for super cool downhill biking. We really enjoyed our 9 day stay and hope to return!

Wonderful Property

This property is outstanding in all respects. The house is fully furnished with everything you may need. The views are spectacular, there is a heated garage with garage door opener for your car and the concrete driveway is heated so no worries regarding snow & ice. In addition there is a new hot tub on the deck along with barbecue grill. Inside the kitchen is spacious with granite countertops, barstool seating and a spectacular view of the mountain tops and valley below from the large window at the kitchen sink. Abutting the kitchen is the great room with bar, large gas stone fireplace and custom made dinning room table. There are 5 bedrooms and the upper master bedroom is spacious, includes a hot tub and access to deck areas front and rear. The house is perfectly situated within minutes of Vail village, Beaver Creek nearby restaurants and shopping to meet your needs. Our family has stayed at this property a number of times both in winter and summer and we are looking forward to coming back again next year. If you choose to stay at this wonderful property you will not be disappointed.

Wonderful stay at The Bear's Den. Perfect for large or multiple family stays.

We had 2 families with a total of 11 people staying over New Year's week, and this lovely home was perfect for all of us. 1st floor has 3 bedrooms, including a room with bunks, that can sleep 7. There is a large TV and a foosball table here as well. 2nd floor had an amazing communal open area with gourmet kitchen, bar, dining area, and family room, as well as a large 6-8 person hot tub and grill on the deck with marvelous views of the mountains. 3rd floor had the master suite and bathroom with an adjacent 5th bedroom, although this bedroom has no doors to separate from the master. This was perfect for our family, though might not be suitable if trying to fit 2 couples if you need privacy. All in all, this is a tastefully decorated mountain home. The only negatives are that the garage is detached, though heated, at street level and you have to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to the "1st floor." This could be an issue for elderly folks. Location is convenient as drive to Vail and Beaver Creek was an easy 10-15 minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

Great for a Big Family

We arrived easily at night following the directions given. Everything lit up as we approached the detached garage. We carried all of our luggage up a huge, outdoor staircase, which led us to the bottom level of the house. The house was beautiful, just like the pictures portray. The great room is magnificent as was the outdoor hot tub. The kitchen is far better stocked than I was lead to believe, as there is a veritable cornucopia of leftover dry foods. The master bedroom has a white carpet, which terrified me as I was traveling with 2 small, very active boys. Bill was a pleasure to deal with and I only needed to contact the him once during our stay but every time we spoke, he was always pleasant, considerate, and knowledgeable. Overall the house gets a 4/5, beautiful, large, well furnished, modern and spacious and really only loses a point because of the unending stairs from the outside and up 2 more stories inside to the master. I would definitely recommend the house to a large family or 2 families. Just watch out for grandma and grandpa negotiating those stairs.

We had the most amazing stay! Everything was in perfect condition. The kitchen is well stocked, appliances were new, hot tub was powerful yet relaxing, bedding & towels were luxurious and the layout of the entire house was absolutely PERFECT for our family!Our host was terrific. And always available to answer questions before and during our stay. This allowed us to really plan our stay ahead of time and focus on quality family time while we were all together!

Spring Break 2025

Incredible, sprawling estate of a property with views galore. Simply magical. Tons of space. Best stocked property we’ve ever stayed at (kitchen, baby accessories, games, and much much more). Only consideration is the stairs to get in and then the three stories once inside. So be prepared there. Also, garage wont clear an SUV with ski rack, so had to park outside. Regardless, it’s well worth the climb! Great, responsive hosts as well.

We had the best time at this hole in Vail!! It was blizzarding non-stop for the first couple days. 12 min drive to the slopes. Overall incredible trip. Will definitely be renting again!

Beautiful Home

The house was lovely and well equipped. Owner very responsive. The stairs were way too much for us. 27 to front door, another 14 to kitchen and not sure how many to third floor. All extremely steep steps and not suitable for the very old or very young. An elevator would be a huge help. The house was so nice, just not accessible for lots of people.

Vail Summer Getaway!

The property was an excellent choice for our family! Wonderful views from all rooms. Can’t say enough about how well stocked the whole house was! Loved seeing mule deer, chipmunks, etc. outside the cabin. Great place for family fun! Lots of steps but we are all in much better shape than when we arrived. We are normally beach people and this was a great change for us, would definitely recommend!!!

Perfect Vail Valley Mountain Home

This was probably the best vacation rental my wife and I have ever stayed in. Me and my family used this home for a family ski trip over a full week. The house is stunning, the pictures are great but still don’t do it justice. The views from every window are fantastic, the home is spacious, the beds are comfortable, and all of the decor was right up our alley. It also has one of the best stocked kitchens I have seen in a rental. The hot tub is huge and worked great. The location is perfect being only around 10-15 minutes to Beaver Creek or Vail, with plenty of groceries, shopping, and restaurants even closer. If the price is right for you, do not hesitate to book this house.

We decided on this location because of it's proximity to the best skiing and because of its size and views. We wanted a place where we could get our families together at the same time. We also like the place because of its private alpine setting up the mountain and backing to the National Forest.

What makes this property unique

Lots of room, Great views and privacy. Wonderful great room for everybody to be together cooking, lounging and enjoying the hot tub. Very family and group friendly.
