A Perfect Weekend Getaway in Eureka/Arcata!

Our stay in this "Crown Jewel" was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at hoe. The space was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could have possibly needed.Nestled in McKinleyville the rental offered the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience If you are looking for an escape with the redwoods as neighbors, this is the place to be! We even saw a rainbow!

Pacific View – Oceanside was by far the best vacation rental we’ve ever stayed at—even better than the one we used to own!We especially appreciated that each dining table easily accommodated all nine of us, and the kitchens were exceptionally well-equipped and thoughtfully organized. There was ample tableware for multiple meals, and even a step stool—perfect for our three chefs under 5'3"!We had three guests with mobility challenges who felt at ease thanks to the sturdy railings on the three entrance steps and the level flooring throughout the home. The variety of chair heights also ensured that everyone could sit comfortably during our many hours of visiting.The beds were truly comfortable, with easy access to both sides and plenty of space for luggage. Even the décor was thoughtfully done—charming and welcoming, but not overwhelming such that we had to move tchotchkes just to use the furniture.And not to be forgotten—the lovely view and the soothing sounds of bird calls and distant waves from the back porch made every morning and evening feel like a retreat.

I am a Humboldt County resident that has lived between Trinidad and McKinleyville most of my life. I retired a few years back after owning my own cabinet manufacturing business for the past 30 years. These days I enjoy spending most of my time outdoors. A few of the hobbies that I enjoy the most are landscaping, painting, traveling and I recently started playing guitar again.

This property is comprised of two fully self-contained units with all amenities one would expect. Although there is no flowthrough between the interior of the units, the front doors are immediately adjacent to one another under a covered porch facilitating ease of movement.
