Great location close to family and friends that we were visiting - friendly neighborhood for dog walks but the fenced backyard was an added bonus for our dog to get out and run about - looking forward to our return visit.

The house presented exactly as advertised. It’s very cute and accommodating. The host is attentive and responsive. Be prepared to buy shopping bags as stores don’t give them away. Next time I will bring some reusable bags. The place is pet friendly and you can tell. I would book here again.

Wonderful Experience

Home was beautiful, cozy, nice views! Easy to communicate with owner who frequently checked in on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. We felt welcomed and cared for. Great experience and would definitely recommend!

I had a wonderful stay at Derek’s house. It’s very quiet, peaceful, and close to shopping and restaurants. The kitchen has what’s needed to make meals. The bed was very comfortable. Derek responds quickly to texts. I’d stay there again.

Ideal Location

The Lindenhurst home was an ideal location for our family visit - located in a quiet community, the house provided us with everything that we needed for our stay - and the fenced in back yard was a bonus for our dog since long trips usually mean 'on leash' all the time - nearby stores and restaurants were a plus - and communication with Derrick made the visit ideal.

Fantastic Little Marina Home

We very much enjoyed our four night stay in this lovingly decorated home in the marina area of Lindenhurst and Copiague. The host was easy to reach and very accommodating of our needs. The unit had everything we might need to spend a long weekend visiting family in Lindenhurst. One quick note; the bathroom is downstairs while the bedrooms are upstairs if you are booking for a mobility impaired person. Overall we plan to stay again next visit!

Convenient Get-away

Great location, very nice property. We enjoyed it very much. My only issues and they were minor is that the bathroom is very small and the stairs are very steep. May not be the best place for anyone with mobility issues.

Ideales Domizil für New York und die Hamptons

Das Haus ist komfortabel und gemütlich und liegt absolut ruhig am Ende einer Wohnstrasse mit Bluck auf einen Wasserlauf mit Bootsliegeplätzen. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Wir haben es zu zweit genutzt, aber es hat zwei komfortable Schlafzimmer mit großen Betten und reicht für 2 Paare oder auch 6 Personen, wenn man die große Couch nutzt. Frühstück auf der sonnigen Terrasse und Abende in einem komfortablen Wohnzimmer. Wir haben in JFK einen Pickup gemietet und waren von dort in 50 Minuten am Haus. Von dort sind wir in die Hamptons gefahren oder zum Bahnhof in Amityville (5km), wo es genug Parkplätze gibt, um das Auto abzustellen und in einer Stunde mit dem Zug nach New York zu fahren. Die Hin- und Rückfahrt kosten ca. 34 Dollar pro Paar. Am Tag vor unserem Boarding auf die Queen Mary habe ich das Auto zurück zum JFK gebracht und bin mit dem Zug und per Lyft (vergleichbar mit Uber) zurück zum Haus gekommen. Die Fahrt mit Lyft zum Hafen in Brooklyn verlief ebenso perfekt für rund 120 Dollar. Es war ideal, das brodelnde New York zu erleben und abends in ruhiger Umgebung zu entspannen. Eine Empfehlung für jeden, der Hotels meiden möcht, Platz und Komfort sucht und hinreichend flexibel ist.

Back home for the weekend

I grew up on Long Island but no longer have family there. Derek's house was the perfect place to stay while visiting for the weekend. The house was clean, the furniture was very comfortable, and the view was beautiful. Derek was very hospitable and available for help if needed. I would definitely stay there again!

Very cute house in a quiet area

We needed a place for 2wks with our pups and this was a very nice option. It was unfortunate that the weather was a bit cold and rainy so we couldn't enjoy the yard and deck. Derek has a very cute property and we were all very comfortable.

Exactly what we needed

From the first message I received from Derek seeing if he can help with anything to check out, his communication was a 10! The location was perfectly located for a family event and visit that my husband, myself and our 2 daughters needed. It was just enough! The weather did not cooperate while we were there, so we did not get to enjoy the cozy backyard however, the living room and dining room were perfect for all of us to get comfy together and watch movies and have dinner. I am definitely going coming back when I go back home to visit! Thanks Derek for a great place. You were super accommodating and our communication was perfect!

College visit accomodations

Fantastic two bedroom that more than met our needs for this weekend trip to Hofstra. Functional kitchen, great back deck and yard with fire pit. We plan to be back in nicer weather to take advantage of the outside amenities!
