Here are some reviews from past guests.

"Peaceful!! Best way to describe this stay. The house was exactly as described. We loved the vibe, the location, and the view! The view of the mountains was unbelievable. The hosts were extremely friendly. We will definitely stay here again! It's a must stay in the Joseph area." - Taj

"Our stay here was absolutely wonderful! The house was immaculately clean and comfortable. The furniture and bed were super comfortable and there was a lot of attention to detail in the design and décor in the home, even custom made pottery dishes. The amenities were so thoughtful and appreciated! The house feels very private as it is set back off the main road. It was nice to step outside into the quiet; no city or traffic noise. We enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains, the plethora of white tail deer, and our jaunt down to the river to explore. We also enjoyed visiting the alpacas. There was for a container of treats in the house that you can take to feed them. This vacation rental is by far the most dog friendly that I've stayed at. The dog bed, blanket, ball, treats, poo bags, and food / water bowls was incredibly thoughtful! I love that the kitchen and bathroom cabinet hardware has tiny dog prints. My German Shepherd, Rick James, gives it his pawprints of approval." - Sara

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay here! The house is tucked away with a stunning view of the mountains and Joseph landscape. The house is beautifully made, with the sweetest touches throughout the house. It’s obvious to see the love that was put into making the home. The house was modern, new, and very clean. One of the highlights of the trip was feeding their alpacas and goats, which is just a short walk from the house. We also enjoyed the books, coffee, tea, and popcorn left out. There was even treats and a bed for our dog. The owner was incredibly kind. We loved it so much that we want to visit again in the summer!" - Tina

"Amazing escape on a secluded farm. Very peaceful and a great place to disconnect. Close to both Joseph and Enterprise for great food options. Plenty of outdoor options nearby as well. Would definitely recommend this cabin for people looking to unplug." Henry

our stay
We had a great time at your place. It is really lovely. I would have loved to read about the history of the building; Was it a barn originally, built brand new, etc. Plans for the pond? As you know we locked the alpacas in and maybe I missed that they are free range animals, but would have been nice to know that. Do you have plans for the other barn? I had a VRBO guesthouse here in Walla Walla, and I know that people enjoyed learning the history of the building, etc. The only other thing that we would have liked is an additional lamp in the living area for reading. We will be back.

Very private retreat
Wife and I spent 5 nights in this home in mid-October and it was perfect. We've been visiting the Joseph area for a long time. We've stayed on the lake, in numerous rental houses, in town, out of town...and this home was exactly what we were looking for. Its about a mile down a gravel driveway and you have no one around you. We were greeted by 3 alpacas. The furniture was truly comfortable which I rarely find in a rental property. Bed was high quality memory foam but is on the softer side. Electric shades were nice. Heated floors were also nice and the fireplace puts off a lot of heat. Communication with owners was always quick and helpful. I took a nap outside on the patio while it was 45° and it was so peaceful. Tons of deer. Walked through the property to the river...secluded with lots of potential to create a special place. This property is not walking distance to anything...you'll need to drive into town which is only about 3 miles from the home. But if you go to NE Oregon to escape the daily grind of your life, this is a great property for you. You'll have as much privacy as you'd like and the views can not be beat.

Incredible Getaway
My husband & I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary & stayed at the Farmhouse at the base of the Eagle Caps. From the moment we drove up the driveway we knew we found a special place to stay. The views are spectacular, such a beautiful way to start & end the day. The house is so clean & gorgeous. Views from every window. The owners were right there to answer any questions & made us feel very special. Todd even drove out for a question we had & spent nice time just visiting with us. Loved not having a huge checklist upon leaving for check-out. They think of everything to make your stay unforgettable. We could have stayed for weeks. The walk down to the river, the little alpaca friends, coffee by the outside fire pit, gorgeous fireplace inside, so much attention to decorating, big bathroom, loved the double counters, the master bedroom loft was gorgeous! Great size kitchen! The mugs & dinnerware, such a special touch. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us. We hope to be back soon.
