Great Property

We stayed here with a group of 10 women and had a wonderful experience. The home was beautifully decorated and had tons of cute personal touches that made our stay even more special. Definitely recommend!

Family Lake Vacation

Our family’s vacation in this home was amazing! The two levels gave options for activities on each floor. The number of bedrooms and baths served our group of 12 very well. The amenities provided so many things for us to do - even on the rainy days. Absolutely enjoyed our experience!

Great House, Excellent Experience

We stayed here for a 3 day weekend with our family and friends. The experience was nothing short of outstanding. Adults had a great time relaxing in the living area upstairs while kids played games and watched tv on the lower level. Also enjoyed the indoor pool in the main community center. Host was very responsive and entire check in/out process was super easy. Will stay here again!

This is not a cabin- It's a castle :)

This cabin is absolutely beautiful!!! My friends and I felt very comfortable and at home. We enjoyed the giant couch in the living room, the comfy beds, large kitchen, and beautiful decor. The owner I worked with was very helpful. I would highly recommend staying here! Thank you for everything!

Great family vacation for 6 adults & kids ages 2-8.

We had a wonderful time. The 5 bedrooms and 3 baths were perfect for our group. The kids had a great time in the lower level with the bunk beds and rec room. The facilities at WLE were convenient to the house and varied enough to please everyone. Nathan and Kara were great hosts and communicators. We hope to return next year.

This was the best family vacation! The house had all of the amenities we could imagine plus some! The beds were super comfy! And, there was plenty of room for us to hang out, play games or just lounge. We enjoyed the WLE property and it’s amenities as well! The lake was great for swimming and fishing. We rented a pontoon from Lakeside Marina and had so much fun we rented it for a second day! The owner Josh was so nice and pleasant to work with along the way. We can’t wait for our next vacation at WLE! Would highly recommend this property for renting and the area!

Great time for our family

This was our second year at this home and it is perfect for our 6 adults and 4 children. This year we were more familiar with the facilities and surrounding area which made that much more enjoyable. The house was clean and had all of the facilities that we could need. The kids really enjoyed having the lower level all to themselves. There is lots of room to find some quiet time if you want it. The air conditioning worked well and kept us comfortable in the 90 degree heat. Plenty of seating for our family in-house dinners.

Birthday celebration

we stayed here for a long birthday celebration. It was a perfect house for a large group, for all ages. The house was stocked with many dishes and pot and pan. The beds were so comfortable. We did not get to do many outside activities because of the rain. I would recommend it The house is an older house and is beginning to show its age.

Comfortable home, nice amenities.

Pros: Clean property, cutely decorated, well-utilized space, comfortable for two families with teens. Nice amenities, lots of water. Pretty well stocked kitchen. Short checkout to-do list. Cons: Kind of far from anything else, community is very strict with rules, walking is strenuous in community (very hilly). Do bring your own pillows, wash cloths, and maybe a couple extra towels. Overall, happy with the stay and appreciate the two King bedrooms.

Excellent Property for a Larger Family or Group

This property was great for our family vacation with four couples and two children. With four bedrooms for the adults and a separate "bunk room" with two bunk beds (4 bunks), we could have easily added a couple of more grandkids to our stay. The upstairs open living room / dining room / kitchen space had plenty of room for all of us to gather, and there is another living room downstairs. The location is just around the corner from one of the community pools, and about a mile from the lake beaches. The Claws and Paws Animal Park is just a few miles away. The host communication was fantastic with easy self check-in and check-out. Highly recommended!

Mother’s Day Weekend

We stayed here to celebrate birthdays and Mother’s day. The house was clean, gorgeous and nicely decorated with natural wood features. Took pics for myself to go shopping 😃. The hosts Nathan and Kara we awesome, they made sure we had a smooth check in and was available right away if we had questions. The kids enjoyed the lower level space - it was equipped with a huge Tv, games and foosball table. The parents got to have their private space and enjoy a nice dinner in the dining area. Overall this house was perfect for our family we had 6 adults and 10 children, would highly recommend. We are already planning our trip for next year!

WLE Summer Family Vacation

The house was in a nice typical Pocono community with lots of amenities which we used most of them. The house itself sits on a main road which can sometimes be busy but not so much that the traffic noise is an issue inside. The kitchen was well equipped and furniture was good. The game room was fun. The house did need a little maintenance (light bulbs, clean air filters, running toilet, and outlets not working) but nothing that really ruined our stay. The price was also fair for the rental. Our family did have a great time.

Family weekend getaway

The house is beautiful! Thoughtful decor, love the little fun facts throughout the house, well-organized and labeled, VERY comfortable bedding and furniture. (My fam are all bedding snobs and everyone approved) It was perfect for our family getaway, (8 adults, 4 kids) the kids played downstairs with Sesame Street or Disney on the tv and the adults hung upstairs playing games or watching some movies. Since the weather was a bit rough, we were able to make s’mores in the fireplace inside, the whole fam was snuggled in around the fireplace, playing board games and watching the kids dance and run around like little crazies. The kitchen was well stocked for our family meals. Nathan was wonderfully responsive to a few minor things that came up. We would totally recommend this property!

We had a nice stay and appreciated the comfort of the property and its location. The home had plenty of space for our family, and overall it was a good place to relax. Be advised there are a lot of steps to carry items to the kitchen. There are a few things future guests may want to know. The listing mentions access to two pools, but after Labor Day one was closed for the season and the other had very limited hours. It would be helpful if the description reflected the seasonal schedule.The parking permit process was also confusing — I submitted the forms but later found out they weren’t needed if we were not driving to park at locations that offered amenities. While it worked out fine, clearer instructions would make things easier for guests. Lastly, a couple of rooms had a noticeable odor, and the kitchen could use a little maintenance since one of the burners on the stove and the island/vent outlets weren’t working.Overall, this property worked well for us, but with a few updates to communication and maintenance, it could be an even better experience.

Great family house

The house is exactly as pictured. It is extremely clean and well kept. The community is nice, but be aware that this is a very rural area. Food delivery is non existent except for one pizza place that closes early. You really need to bring everything you need food wise. We used the house as a halfway meeting point to have a long weekend with family and it was great for that! Pools were fun but other community areas like shuffle board and ball firlds were very run down. Lake was beautiful, but beach area was very small. Maybe 10 families can fit. Hosts were very kind and helpful and they really thought of everything at the house. They were great! Check in/out was very easy. We had 8 people and there was plenty of room for everyone.

Lovely weekend Stay

We rented this home for a weekend stay. We were a group of ten adults (married couples) no children, although it is more than suitable for young and old alike! We enjoyed every aspect of this home. It was fully furnished and had lovely artwork which made it all the more beautiful. The furniture was all brand new and very modern. The owner was kind enough to give some wonderful eatery suggestions and recommended great sightseeing areas. We all loved this home so much and were sad to have to go! We enjoyed watching movies by the fireplace, having a game night, and we even enjoyed filming the deer that paid us a visit! We enjoyed the indoor pool and sauna, and after went to a nearby restaurant that was hosting karaoke! We had a phenomenal time and are already planning a summer trip! Don't pass up this amazing rental! You will be sure to love it!

Nice getaway from the city

Our stay was wonderful. We had 6 adults and 6 children under the age of 10. The place had plenty of games to keep the kids entertained all day. We had so much fun in the house that we didn't even bother going to the Rec Room the community offered. We also had so much fun in the fire pit making smores and memories. A lot of deer and that was pleasant to see especially for the kids. There is a pool and volley set up in the community. We didnt get to enjoy that because our kids really wanted to play soccer in the field instead. There's a small playground for the little ones and huge soccer field. Our host, Nathan was very informative and very responsive. We really enjoyed our time in the house. If you have kids or teens this would be perfect place for you.

Family Vacation

The house was very comfortable for 8 people. There are 2 living areas and 3 bathrooms, so everyone had their own space. We loved that there was a huge dining table for family meals and card games. The house was very clean and well appointed. The size of the kitchen, the amount of storage in the cabinets, and the selection of pots, pans, and kitchen was helpful since we had to cook for all of us. The house is close to all the activities in the area. It is just outside the main part of the community, and although the activities are close, you do have to drive. The only drawbacks we saw were that the house is on the road in and out of the community, so it was not very safe to walk. There is not a shoulder or sidewalks, and cars tended to speed around the bend in front of the house. Also, the deck needs a bit of maintanance and more furniture so all could enjoy. Overall, everyone had a great vacation and said the house was very nice.

Embarrassing

Each year 4 couples rent a home, it was my turn to find the location it was embarrassing and shameful. Ceiling fan black from dirt and grease in living room. Floors and bedding soiled, the oven was so black and dirty that we ate out rather than staying in and enjoying the home. Home is in need of some TLC. I am requesting the cleaning fee to be refunded to me because the home was not received in a clean condition. Very disappointing. Pictures shown on our sight was very different when seen live.

The house is brand new from the walls out. The pictures are of the actual house taken only weeks before you stayed which was when the renovations were complete. Are you sure you reviewed the correct property? There is literally no other TLC could do, everything is brand new.

Perfect place for a college reunion

The house was great! 10 friends from college got together again after not seeing each other for about 7-8 years and had a great time! Although all the boat rentals at Lake Wallenpaupack were taken, the amenities at the house and the nearby community pools and lakes were more than enough! Just enough room to also play some cornhole on the property too. We also encountered some wildlife too! A racoon visited the deck at night, a skunk near the fire pit, and a black bear scratched at the tree in the front driveway. That was a bit scary but luckily everyone was inside when he arrived. Having the pillows and linens already at the house was a HUGE plus! Nearest grocery store is a Weis about 10 mins away, so we took full advantage of cooking our own food, grilling, and enjoying the entire house. The neighbors and everyone at he pools/lake were super friendly and welcoming as well. We also left some cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla in the pantry for the next guests! It's a must for some great Trench toast! Great place, great stay!

Ideally situated to all the Lakes Area has to offer

We were thrilled with our stay! This property allowed our family to host a reunion of 20 during the day and 13 at night and keep all engaged and cared for. The kitchen and eating are were more than adequate. The three bathrooms and laundry services always had hot water. The pool was within walking distance, and it was a short ride to the two different beaches in the association. Thanks for a wonderful time!

We loved the idea of owning a home in such a family-friendly community that has a great location to Lake Wallenpaupack while also offering such a wide variety of amenities. We have grown to love the small community of Wallenpaupack Lake Estates (WLE)as they are very family focused and often offer great activities for kids of all sizes.

We were able to purchase two homes next to each-other within the same community giving us the opportunity to rent both homes to large groups. This has been a great option for larger groups.

Unlike some of the other communities in the area, WLE offers an indoor swimming pool along with their 2 large outdoor pools. The pools along with all of the other activities within the community are wonderful to keep the whole family busy year-round. The fact that the amenities are included free of charge within our community instead of charging extra was a big benefit. All this while being so close to Lake Wallenpaupack was the reason we chose this location! :)
