Great vacation spot.

We stayed at the cabin with another family and it was perfect. The kids loved the loft area and fishing off the dock. We are already planning on staying again next year.

Voyageurs with Friends

We had an amazing time staying here! It was super clean, close to Voyageurs National Park and provided us dock access to do some fishing! We would definitely stay here again! Great memories were made!

Great stay on Rainy Lake

Very nice property. Well appointed and nice decor as well. Great base for exploring the lake. Would definitely recommend and hope to return someday.

This was an amazing cabin and location! The layout works perfect for your family or group of friends! Kitchen is awesome and has everything you need! Having a full bathroom on both levels is great! Highly recommend checking this out!!

A great northern Minnesota Cabin!

A beautiful cabin in the woods. The boat launch is right next door to the cabin. The hosts were great with their communication. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to visit Rainy Lake! Thanks for the wonderful stay.

Great spot on Rainy Lake

Great jump off point for a group of 4. Excellent fishing in mid-June. Clean, newer cabin with everything you need. Flawless check in. We will be back!

Great property, location, and host!

Spent a week there with a group of friends for our annual fishing trip. We all had a great time and enjoyed the property. Would recommend to anyone. We plan on returning!

Nice private place

This was a great place for four of us with two boats. It’s a really clean, new, home. Very nice place to hang out after a long day of fishing. The fish cleaning area was nice to have as well.

Gorgeous cabin on beautiful Rainy Lake

Probably one the most beautiful cabins on Rainy with easy lake access, and easy road accessible. If this place were to ever become for sale I’d totally buy it as my own to live in year round. Clean, stylish, but yet simple & rustic. Perfect getaway for anyone.

Incredible Experience

This place is amazing. 2 minutes to the Rainy Lake Visitors Center. House is awesome. Ryan was great. We were there for 3 nights. Went on a fishing, boating hiking excursion with Northern Waters Excursions LLC, which was so much fun and recommended by Ryan. So much to do. But don’t try to do it on your own. Get a guide. Overall a 10/10 experience for all.

Perfect

This property is absolutely perfect to get away to. It is remote, quiet, and well-kept. The access to Rainy Lake was perfect for our trip as we brought kayaks and rented a canoe. There were eight of us here and we felt perfectly comfortable. It was hard to pack up and leave this place. If we ever travel back to the area, I know exactly which property im hoping to book!

Excellent Stay at Rainy Lake

We had an awesome stay at this cabin. It was very clean, beautiful, and perfectly situated for us to explore the national park, which was the purpose of our family trip. We arrived late on the first night and then spent the next day on a boat tour of Voyageurs and the following day canoeing and then fishing on Rainy Lake. We text the property manager a couple of times for wifi issues and they were immediately addressed. Great option and really fun trip.

Nice and clean property

Very spacious for our group of 7. The loft was perfect for our kids. We've rented many vacation rentals and this one was probably the cleanest. Ryan was very responsive and helpful. Kids caught fish off the dock. Home is minutes from Thunderbird Lodge, very convenient if you're looking to rent a boat. We'll definitely stay here again!

Amazing Property

Rainy Lake Retreat is definitely a retreat! The property is so peaceful and the view is amazing!! We were visiting the area to attend a wedding on Rainy Lake and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!! We had a 5, 12, 17 and a 20 year old and 4 adults and it was comfortable. The boys had the upstairs area which included a foosball table, tv, seating area, beds and a spacious bathroom! The kitchen is huge with a lot of seating!! The communication with the hosts was spot on. I can’t think of one thing we didn’t like!! I would stay there again for sure!! There are also good restaurants nearby so you don’t have to go all the way in to International Falls!! Highly recommend!! Amazing!!

Guys family fishing trip

5-stars all around (would rate it higher if I could)! Everything was perfect for our guys family fishing trip with three generations of fisherman! Beautiful views, and a super comfortable new cabin with absolutely everything we needed. Walking to the dock to meet the owner who was also our fishing guide (Fisheye Guide Service) for two days on Rainy Lake was spectacular. We can’t wait to book the cabin and Fisheye Guide Service again!

3 minutes to Voyagers National Park!

Our family of 4 had plenty of room in this quiet, nicely decorated cabin. We were very comfortable here and enjoyed the view of the lake as well as the large deck. There are neighboring homes, but enough space and trees to feel private. When the weather was not ideal to venture outside, we found many games in the cabin to entertain ourselves. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals. The Rainy Lake Visitors center is only a 3 minute drive away. Groceries in town was about 20 min away. We didn’t utilize the dock, but did walk down to it. Very convenient if bringing or renting a boat.

Long weekend

Water in showers and bathrooms had a very strong Sulphur smell. Would have been nice to know ahead of time so we could have carried in some water. Bring your own kleenex! All in all a beautiful place and a fun time!

Overall Experience

My family went during August. The home was beautiful along with the spacious deck. I do wish the property was equipped with more toilet paper, dish washer pods, paper towels, and other toiletries to accommodate for 10 people. There was enough outdoor chairs to enjoy our time. We did have to deep clean the grill before using it. I would also encourage the owner to ensure all cookware is cleaned better in future. The dock was great for boat use and fishing, not a place to go swimming. There is no ATV trails and neighbors are not fond of people riding around. We even got to speak to a park ranger and they were fine with us, the neighbor on the other hand was very rude. Ryan did very well with communication and we appreciated that. I recommend this place to people going in the winter for fishing and to people who are not wanting to go riding. Other then that, the place worked out perfect for us to hangout together.
