Special Spring Rates for Cute & Cozy Guest Apartment

Enjoy a unique experience at this Animas Valley location off of Highway 550.
Just a half mile down the road from the newly renovated Durango Hot Springs.It is 15 minutes to downtown Durango, 20 minutes to Durango Mountain Resort and convenient shopping is very close!
Lovely open floor plan, split level. 1 queen bed and one full size futon upstairs. One bathroom, walk in shower and full kitchen with all the essentials located downstairs. Separate entrance and beautifully landscaped grounds.
The space
Nicely decorated, comfortable guest apartment. Beautiful and landscaped gardens,BBQ, chairs and lawn for guest's enjoyment. An added bonus is being able to sit outside and enjoy watching the Durango Silverton train pass by.
Guest access
Guests will have access to a bbq and the garden area and lawn in front of and to the left of the guest apartment The hot tub is not for guest use.
Other things to note
Private split level guest apartment located above the garage.The owner does live on the premises and there’s a home/ office located in the main house.

Lovely little garage apartment away from Durango bustle

We really enjoyed our weekend stay. We were a short drive from the River Bend Ranch, and even nearer the hot springs. It had everything we need. The host was really responsive and helpful. A nice time!

Me and my son stayed here for a little father's day get-away and absolutely loved our stay. Very cozy and comfortable. Cindy was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. This was our first time visiting this area of Colorado and we enjoyed our vacation so much, we're already planning our next. Very big thank you to our host.

Durango road trip

This was my husband and I’s first trip to Colorado. This apartment made the stay complete for us. It was very cute and well decorated. The upstairs was a little hot when we checked in but Cindy quickly brought out the air conditioner for the upstairs. After that our trip was perfect.

Beautiful and private Trimble house and property

We loved our stay on this beautiful property! Would stay hear again in a heartbeat . Host was very nice and took care of some special arrangements that were very important to us. The space was super cozy and very spacious for the two of us. Amenities were close by even though a ways outside of Durango which was great! As soon as you open the front door in morning you are greeted by stunning views of valley and mountains, and cool that Silverton railroad goes by each morning. Definitely a gem and we were beyond happy with our stay.

It's nice, but we are older

Cozy, clean, but unconventional layout. As 2 older folks who often get up at night to use the bathroom, it's a bit inconvenient. Younger folks might not mind as much. Also, what is up with the "Throne" ? Kind of odd.

Less than perfect

The Cabin/apartment was way out of date . Light switches were not in convenient areas to easily find lighting . There was no TV for the master bedroom . And there was a constant lingering stink of sewage coming from the bathroom and it got seemingly worse as the stay went on . There was also the smell of a dead rat or something at the stair case area .

Nothing fancy

Theirs is nothing NEW about this apartment. Their is no AC just a portable floor unit. We ran out to Walmart to buy box fans. The toilet is perched so you have to use a step stool. Coffee maker did not work appropriately. The vent in the bathroom is filthy. Shower curtain had stains on it. Carpet could use replacing. We thankfully just needed a place to lay our heads as our two days there were packed. The owner will say we should have communicated better which maybe but I don’t think they would have preferred our hours of contacting them. Before 6am and after 9pm. Almost forgot the toilet had an issue with the float valve getting stuck. Cindy offered to refund us for the fans, we did not ask. So I told her how appreciative the offer was but then she got perplexed. I sent pictures of everything as well. I’m sorry our stay wasn’t like previous guest. But Durango and Silverton are beautiful!
