We had a wonderful time in Las Cruces. We really lucked out staying in your house. It was so convenient to everything, so comfortable and inviting. The decor and furnishings gave us the full Southwest experience. My compliments to you. you have provided in your house all the amenities that a family away from home could ask for.
We plan on checking in with you for our next extended stay and will certainly recommend your house to all family and friends.
We had the good luck to live in this beautiful home for February, 2017. We have enjoyed several VRBO rentals over the years. This place is easily and by far the best furnished, best maintained, most comfortable overall and, ultimately, the most satisfying of the lot of them.
The highights are many and include a quite large master suite that features an enormous, walk-in closet; teriffic bedroom #2 and #3; hundreds of movies in the vast DVD library; a landscaped and totally private back yard with a water feature, heavy furniture, plenty of shade... all conspiring to make it so comfortable for this Minnesota snowbird that it borders on the therapeutic. It is immediately obvious that the large kitchen was furnished by an experienced and adventurous cook -- high end appliances and amenities along with a closet full of fancy, even fun, kitchen tools including several I'd never before known existed. There must be a dozen unusual cookbooks, each offering spectacular recipes that serve as reasons and excuses to give the unusual equipment a try and your dinner guests a real treat. Of course the interior decor is superb throughout and adds importantly and lastingly to the sense of ease and comfort this home projects at every turn.
We never spoke to or met the local manager because everything in the house worked every time. The garage door opener, the washer and dryer, the ice cube maker, the TV, the fireplace, etc. No exceptions!
Oh, I almost forgot... the great location in Sonoma Ranch is just minutes (honest!) from the grocery store, the drug store, gas for the car, medical services, Target and Walmart, and Hwy. 70 and the Interstate for daytrips or other escapes in any direction.
I encourage visitors and potential visitors to Las Cruces to do themselves the favor of looking into this beautiful rental option.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely home. It is comfortable and has pretty much anything you need. We've stayed at several different VRBOs, and this one is, by far, the most "well-stocked" with pans, dishes, gadgets, etc. It is great. It is conveniently located, and we felt very comfortable in the neighborhood. The home was clean, and the covered patio is quite large and a great place to relax and enjoy the sound of the water feature in the back yard. It worked out perfectly for our group (two couples) since there are two king-sized beds. It had another bedroom, too, but we never used it. When we go to Las Cruces again, we will definitely want to stay here. Thank you!
If you have read all the reviews, you know why we love this house and why we say it's the best house rental in Las Cruces, especially for a longer term stay. My wife and I have spent the last three winters in Mardi's Las Cruces home, so we speak from experience. During our long stays we have had the time to check out other VRBO homes to see if perhaps there was something better. There are some nice homes, but nothing comes close if having a clean, amazingly well equipped vacation home with responsive management is important to you. By well equipped, I mean this house has everything. If you think it's not there, you just haven't looked in the right place for it. How many rental houses have kitchens fully equipped with quality gear and and enough place settings to cook and serve a holiday meal to your extended family? How many have "his and hers" weekender bags for that quick trip to Santa Fe so you don't have to use the giant suitcase you arrived with? Snow discs for sliding in White Sands? Chili con queso dip warmer? A gadget to trim the tops off of soft boiled eggs? Ok, we never needed that last one, but if you are living in a house for more than a few days you'll find it's very annoying NOT to have some item you take for granted at home. Of course there are all the things you want in a rental from a gas grill to new washer/dryer to excellent wifi to comfy beds and large bath towels. And, I should mention that the manager lives close by and is highly responsive should anything need attention. The back yard is lovely, the neighborhood is quiet and you can watch the sunrise over the mountain tops in the morning. If you are lucky enough to be able to "winter away" from wherever your home is, you cannot do better than this.
We've rented through VRBO for years and this is without a doubt our best rental. This is a beautiful home, wonderfully decorated and comfortable. The yard is landscaped so nicely and has front and back seating areas.
Be sure and read the red binder. This gives you important information for the house and everything in it. No reason to worry about how things work. Good info about town, too.
Las Cruces is a joy to visit. Great things to see and everyone is very nice.
Thanks, Mardi, for sharing your beautiful home with us.
On our first trip to enchanting New Mexico we were lucky enough to stay at this perfect VRBO.
The house is beautiful, lovingly decorated in Southwestern style with all the comforts of home and then some. The kitchen is not just a pleasure to work in but fully equipped and all the dishes are Fiesta ware ,my favourite.
Luxurious beds and linens, great sunset views of the Organ Mountians , and a tranquil back yard with pond and fountain for relaxing Happy Hours.
Walking distance to the Golf club is a bonus for lunch or drinks.
As for things to do we found plenty, old Messila, the hike to Dripping Springs and the downtown Saturday market to name a few.
The owners couldn't be nicer to deal with. Thank you Mardi!
We loved this house and all that New Mexico had to offer,we will be back.
I'm a native Las Crucen, who now resides in Santa Fe, NM. My Husband, myself and a few good friends from Santa Fe, went to Las Cruces over 4th of July weekend and rented this lovely home. We LOVED our stay there! The home was easy to find in the Sonoma Ranch neighborhood. The inside of the home is beautifully decorated and includes everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. The owners were very easy to communicate with as well.
Overall we'd recommend this home to anyone who wants to have an enjoyable stay in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Visit the Las Cruces Farmers Market every Saturday and Wednesday downtown. Voted one of the best in the USA.
