The Mermaid Cottage is located in the Beau Coast development in Beaufort NC. This new 3 BR 2.5 Bath cottage is great for up to 6 adults. It also has a small bed in the office for a child. It is pet friendly located within walking distance of the pool, workout facility, dog park and pickle ball courts. There is a golf cart available for an additional fee. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The home has a full kitchen, living room with 65 inch TV, dining room, covered patio and office with a single bed for kids. The office also has a 65 inch TV and an adjustable desk. The Beaufort Hotel is just down the road.

The Mermaid Cottage was exactly like it is described, we had a wonderful stay and hope to return next year . Location was great for us with our dogs , clean, on a quiet street . we loved every minute we were there !

The best place to stay!! Rented this for family to stay for our wedding and it was the best decision I made. Host is the most helpful and went above and beyond to provide the best experience. Best location in Beaufort and so many amenities within beaucoast. My granny said it was the most comfortable mattress she has ever slept on too!!

Great house in a quiet location. Convenient to downtown. Would stay there again! FYI, the listing needs to be updated for the price of the golf cart and the lack of a whirlpool.

What a lovely property! At first sight, you understand why it is called the Mermaid Cottage. The interior is inviting and beautifully decorated. Everything you need to relax is provided, no reason not to enjoy your stay. We were so happy that we booked the Mermaid Cottage for next year.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Mermaid Cottage! It was spotless, perfectly located near our family, and close to everything we wanted to do around town. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot!

We had a great stay. The place is exactly as listed. It was clean, comfortable, and the perfect location. Would have been nice if the pool was open, but not the owner’s fault.We played Pickleball everyday and had fun driving around in the golf cart!

It was clean and well stocked. It offered plenty of space for our group and the neighborhood was nice. Two minor issues: The garage code to get in did not work but once in the house there is an opener that is available. Only 6 washcloths and towels were provided. Reusing a towel is not a problem but it’s not sanitary to reuse the washcloths. I ended up washing them to use again. Our biggest issue was there were no instructions for the pool. We found a key fob and figured out was for the pool. We went to the pool that we passed on our way in but were unable to get in. Our daughter who has special needs was upset when we could not get in at the pool. I had to contact the owner to find out what the problem was which is when we learned there is a second pool that renters have to use. That pool is nice but doesn’t have a water slide like the other one Our daughter was still disappointed she couldn’t go to that one even though we explained it. We wish we could have avoided the whole situation and would have had there been instructions on which pool we were suppose to use. Hope this helps keep other children from being disappointed. A simple note explaining would fix the issue. All in all it was a nice place to stay.

Great home!

Our family really enjoyed the week in Beaucoast. Our rental was very comfortable with well stocked kitchen and golf cart for seeing the sights and enjoying the communities’ amenities. We will definitely rent again!

Loved mermaid cottage and Beaufort

The cottage is amazing and extremely clean. Great space and the location the downtown Beaufort can’t be beat. Great pool area for adults and kids. Being able to add the golf cart was great for us as we had family staying in other homes in Beau coast. Host is great and always answered any questions we had. Already looking forward to returning.

Location was so convenient to Front Street and neighborhood pool and dog park! Super spacious and modern with all the necessities! Had an AC concern and Steve immediately got back with me and dealt with it!!!

Wish we could have stayed longer

We thoroughly Enjoyed our stay. It was just too short. We would have liked to have spent r time at the pool and clubhouse to play ping pong and see what else they had there. We gotI to eat st our fave restaurant Beaufort Grocery and go out for our favorite cruise with Lookout Cruises . All in all a nice weekend.

Great house & location

this property was exactly as described. The pictures are accurate. It was very clean and comfortable and the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. The location is very close to Front Street, which runs along the ocean side restaurants, and shops. It is very convenient to have a golf cart to use. Once we got there, we didn’t use our vehicle at all, but went between the rental and front street on the golf cart. It was an awesome time and awesome property. We will definitely stay there again when we’re in the area.

Family Vacation - Beaufort, NC

Great! Very nice and new 2 story home with ample space. Perfect for families and friends...allows pets...new and clean...easy communication We went fishing and had an excellent time and the house is minutes from all the marinas and town...golf cart to downtown in like 10 minutes. We learned that golf carts can be driven on the roads in NC where the speed limit is 35 or less...too much fun! The neighborhood is quiet and we tried the pickle ball for the first time, since there is a court. The dog park is great as well and is part of the community, along with the pickle ball, and provides for a good workout for the dogs you might bring. Ours had a blast. The kitchen is fully stocked and we cooked our catch every night.

Nice to look at

The home is lovely to look at but we had some major comfort issues. Two of the three beds are really hard and left us with aching shoulders and hips. The shower flow is so sparse that it took twice as long to take a shower. I think there is a switch to a hand held but it was so high up in the shower that I could not reach it. We wasted about 3 hours trying to find a way to watch live TV and never did. There were a lot of apps that were not installed and no directions for how to use the TV. We are accustomed to cable, not a plethora of apps that do not work. Overall, nice to look at but not a do over for us.

Beau Coast has pickle ball courts and a dog park, both located right behind the property. It also has a pool, workout facility and clubhouse for the guest to use. There is a golf cart available for an additional fee.
