Family friendly house which was perfect for our family of 6 while we were in the area visiting extended family. Loved having multiple living rooms and a fenced in yard for kids to play while others were sleeping. Walk-in master closet worked great as a spot for our infant to sleep. Host responded very quickly to help resolve a minor issue.
This was a great place for our family! The home provided everything we needed for our stay and more. Vic was a great host and all information was provided up front. We will definitely choose to stay here again if we are ever back in the Aurora area. Thank you!!
The house was clean, spacious, and exactly as described. The owner was quick to respond and very helpful. The neighborhood felt safe and we had relatively easy access to downtown Chicago. I highly recommend staying here!
We arrived at 9:00 pm to find the air conditioning turned off and it was 87 degrees on the main floor and even hotter upstairs. It took almost 3 hours to get the upstairs cool enough to be able to try and sleep because there were only 2 ceiling fans in the entire home and the windows didn't have screens so they could not be opened. 2 of the bedrooms had proper sheets on the beds. The third room had just a fitted sheet, pillows, and a comforter. The only extra bedding available was a fitted sheet. All of the furniture in the home is old, worn, and torn. The floors have cracks and chips. They patched the paint on the walls and didn't even try to match the color. The second night at 4:00 am, the smoke alarms started beeping because the batteries were going out. We finally were able to disconnect them but discovered there was one located in a closet that was locked next to the bedrooms that was also beeping. I reached out to two different contact numbers I had used the day before to address the lack of bedding and horrible air conditioning. Neither number answered. We finally started messing with the lock and discovered we could get it open and turn off the last detector so we could sleep. The next day, no one reached out to apologize for all the trouble we had the night before. I finally sent a message and then they responded. It was the worst experience I have ever had staying away from my home.
In town to visit family and celebrate our nephew/cousin graduate high school and he is getting ready to join the Navy. Went to Cubs game and downtown Chicago to do touristy things. The house met all the needs of 5 adults, clean, private, and easy access to anywhere, thanks again.
Everything was as described. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and the host was very quick to respond. We would give this a 10+ if the room with the super comfortable couches had a tv. We enjoyed our time there nonetheless.
Their other properties that we have stayed at were on point, and this property lives up to that same standard. It is in a quiet, peaceful community, the house is well stocked. It is clean and well maintained. And always gives you a real home feel. And the hosts have been very helpful and accommodating. We have loved our stays at all of their properties, including this one. They are wonderful hosts.
Check in went really well. The rooms were much darker than anticipated. The pictures online looked much brighter. The furniture needs a some TLC--a lot of chipped paint, torn back rest on the couch, well-loved "sitting spots" on the couches. Stains on the carpet areas. It was a clean place but for what we paid per night, I kinda expected a little higher quality details.Host interaction was very prompt, expectations well laid out. A shovel was provided, which was great because of the snow the area received while we were there. The mattress pad on the bunk bed is "noisy," likely due to being waterproof. Kitchen is a little cramped--again, smaller than expected. The pictures make it look much roomier.
Overall, no leaks and no bugs. Very run down property needs a lot of work. Beds are reasonably comfortable, AC and Hot Water work well. All other furniture needs to be replaced. Not very comfortable unless you are horizontal in bed. Kitchen Not stocked well, what it does have is old. Kitchen window does not lock i used a wooden spoon to keep it from being slid open from outside. Kind of unsafe if you dont know about it. Again 3 stars is the most it can have. Pics on listing really make it look nicer than it is.
