About this property
Lakeview Cabin at Camp Because I Said I Would
Summary:
Nestled in tranquil woods, the Lakeview Cabin offers a serene retreat with scenic pond views. With 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a hot tub, fireplace, and game room, it's perfect for 6 guests. Outdoor amenities include decks, a grill, picnic area, and fire pit. Ideal for couples or families seeking relaxation and natural beauty.
The Space:
Camp Because I said I would is owned by a charity, so 100% of our fees go to our nonprofit. Because I said I would is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and we have programs for families in bereavement at this camp. However, we rent our 5 resort cabins during downtime to generate funding for the charity!
Our 92-acre camp and retreat center is in the heart of Amish Country in Knox County where it is very peaceful, private and quiet. Our property features a 1.5-acre swimming and fishing lake (seasonal), a 2-acre vineyard, 1-mile of privately-owned canopied forest trail. We are so much more than just a place to sleep!
Guest Access:
There is parking directly behind the cabin along the drive. There is enough room for 2 vehicles. Please do not block the drive, as it may block others from getting to their cabin. Any vehicles that are unable to fit behind the cabin will need to use Parking Lot #2 towards the pond.
Other Things to Note:
If you are interested in booking multiple cabins, we have 5 cabins with a total of 16 bedrooms and 13 baths. We have 5 hot tubs on the property, so every cabin gets its own 😊 If you have any other questions, please let us know! Thank you for your interest in a cozy stay, but also for the impact your cabin rental fees have in supporting our charity and the families in bereavement we serve.
Interaction with Guests:
There is a property staffed every night. There is a Guest Support Textline to help you during your stay with a response time of around 1-hour or less.
