Perfect Getaway
The pictures do not do this cabin justice! It was much larger than anticipated and so serene and relaxing! We especially loved the personalized welcome sign, it definitely made us feel welcome! Thank you so much for opening your home up to us so that we could enjoy a weekend away from the city!
Cabin is full of fun character and set in a beautiful setting with breathtaking views. We spotted lots of wildlife while there and enjoyed the deer and elk nearby daily. The view and sound of the river from the deck was very relaxing and we enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit too.
The amazing views from the deck were incredible and the sound of the rushing river was magical. The furniture was super comfortable and the internet worked great. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was great for cooking meals. The hot tub at night was a great ending to each day. We look forward to returning one day.
Lovely scenery! Relaxing. Just what the doctor ordered. Cabin was quaint and just what we needed to enjoy life away from civilization.
Thank you for sharing your cabin!
It was our wedding anniversary and the host left a couple of bottles of wine and glasses and 2 cute coffee mugs! The cabin was so cute and comfortable! The view was amazing! We really enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the river and enjoying the view! We would definitely come back again!

Perfect romantic getaway
The view from the back deck could not be more perfect - we didn't want to leave! The cabin was clean and has just about everything you could need (except a hairdryer - heads up!) during your stay. The Garden Valley Market had all the groceries and other supplies for our stay. While the arrival instructions said GPS was not accurate, we found both Google Maps and Waze to be perfectly accurate getting us to the address provided. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows to stay cozy. We can't wait to visit again!
My wife and I made our first venture into Idaho and picked this cabin. We were not disappointed. The cabin was cozy and met our needs. The porch and gazebo overlooking the river was awesome. We spent a lot of time on the deck listening to the water & watching rafting tours and kayaks navigate the river. The nearby Starlight Mountain Theater put on a great production of Footloose. A doe and 2 fawns visited us as well. Great location and great trip!
My wife, Shelly, and I spent eight days in the Boise area with the last two being here at this wonderful cabin. Once we parked our car and unpacked, we spent most of our time on the back deck overlooking the Payette river. We both felt so relaxed at this property and decided to stay here for two days without traveling anywhere else. The cabin was very clean and the Tempur-pedic bed provided superior rest. We can’t wait to come back and we dream of living here. In this location now. It’s great to dream after you’ve been somewhere like this. Sincerely, Patrick from Wisconsin.

Hi Patrick,
Always nice to hear guests enjoyed the fabulous Southfork Hideaway - it is so very special! Would love to have you back for another visit!
Place was amazing. Only reason not 5 stars is that there were mice droppings in almost every cabinet and on dishes. Had to wash everything before use. Not really anyones fault and they waived the cleaning fee after i requested it. Also only one roll of toilet paper for 6 people for 3 days. Again, not a major issue. Also beware of rattlesnakes as we saw one RIGHT off the deck and scared the poo out of my 11 year old. No shovel on property and finally found a pole and got rid of the snake. Crazy memories!

Hi Ryan,
Thanks for your understanding regarding the mice. We have seen a huge rise in activity this year and there have never been mice there before!! Maybe the snakes had been eating them? Glad you still enjoyed your stay.

The roaring river, the amazing views from the window seat, the full kitchen, the awesome patio…all of it was perfect. We appreciated all the dishes/cookware in the kitchen, we prepped and cooked every meal for our entire stay without any trouble at all. The nightly views of deer/elk meandering across the front yard was pretty awesome, too.
I misunderstood “coin laundry” to mean it was onsite, but there was no access to laundry onsite nor within a 20 minute drive. Honestly, that was the only downside to this property. Everything was fantastic, including the memory foam bed and plenty of towels/sheets/blankets to make things comfy.

Hi,
So happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately, the cabin is too small to accomodate laundry machines. There is a public laundry mat in Crouch as you mentioned about 15 miles from the cabin.
