Dragon’s Keep is like a hidden treasure on the boardwalk in Long Beach! This exotic vacation home is the perfect place for your family and friends to get away and relax! This 2-bedroom home is on the ground floor at the Windward Passage Condominiums and features a patio with views of the dunes and the beach. Dragon’s Keep is especially good for watching the Kite Festival or July 4th fireworks – you’re front and center for the festivities! Or enjoy the view of our winter storms and clamming. The evening clam tides in the fall make the beach look like the Milky Way, with hundreds of lanterns stretching from Seaview in the south to the northern tip of the Peninsula.

The living room at Dragon’s Keep features cable TV, VCR, DVD and stereo plus 2 futons. The kitchen and dining area share the same airy space as the living room, with fabulous views of the beach. One especially nice feature is the elegant dragon kite that curls its way along the living and dining ceiling. Its one of many nice dragons used in the decor. The master bedroom on the ocean side has its own view of the surf. It has a king bed and large full bath. The quiet second bedroom has a queen bed and adjacent ¾ bath. Dragon’s Keep can sleep up to 6 people total. Your canine friend is welcome too – when reserving please let us know if you’ll be bringing any pets. There’s a full-size utility room with washer and dryer for your use. Also covered parking for 1 car, and plenty of open visitor parking as well.

Enjoy the laid back lifestyle of Long Beach and the Peninsula! Dragon’s Keep is one of the best locations you can find here – an easy walk to beach activities, the Discovery Trail or downtown. Great shopping and a variety of restaurants are all close by, plus lots of things for the kids to do. There’s miniature golf, the arcade and carnival rides are just a few blocks away. The nearby Bolstad beach approach is a hub of activity year-round, but especially during the summer months, with SandSations in July and the International Kite Festival in August.

There’s even more to explore on the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. The Port of Ilwaco and Cape Disappointment are only a short drive away, as well as Waikiki Beach and the North Head lighthouse. There are some great art galleries at the Port of Ilwaco, and during the summer months there’s Saturday Market too, with a variety of local arts and crafts, foods, flowers and plants for sale. You can even see pirates at times. Ilwaco also has its own fireworks in July. The Port also features some fine restaurants with local seafood offerings created by our great chefs. Or take a charter trip for salmon, halibut, tuna or sturgeon. On the north end of the Peninsula is Ocean Park, with bookstores, restaurants and gift stores. Visit Jack’s Country Store to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. On the extreme north end of the Peninsula, the place to see is Ledbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay.

If a cancellation is made within 30 days of the arrival date, we will make every effort to rebook the property for the dates in question. If we are successful, a fee of $35 will be charged and the difference will be refunded. If we are not successful, the entire payment is forfeited.

No refunds will be issued for early departures or changes in plans due to inclement weather.

The Dragon House

The building housing the condo is in a great location, central to Long Beach and as close to the beach as you can get. The condo itself was also well located, downstairs, last on the right, only one common wall. Large windows provided excellent views, from just about everywhere in the house. It was neat and clean and comfortable and well appointed. Very nice kitchen, plenty of pots and pans, etc. and a handy laundry area. It's a short walk to the beach and/or boardwalk over the dunes and sawgrass. We enjoyed the decor very much, especially the dragons.

Dragons Keep a winner

My wife, daughter, her husband, and I spent two nights right on the beach in Long Beach, WA. We could walk right out to the beach from the condo. There is a boardwalk that has a good view of the beach, a bike trail that runs even longer along the beach, and of course, the beach itself. The beach below the condo excludes vehicle traffic. There are section of the beach to the north and south that do have cars whizzing by, so it's nice to have a section without that.

We visited cranberry bogs and lighthouses, walked the beach, flew kites, ate big ice cream cones and fudge, cooked our own meals in a well stocked kitchen with a view of the boardwalk and ocean.

Since the condo is on the north end of the condo complex, there was little noise and disruption to our stay.

The management company takes care of all the booking and issuing of keys and contracts. It was a smooth operation.

With two bedrooms each with their own bathrooms, both couples had their own space. The communal space was roomy with a big table to play games or eat. There were chairs and couches for relaxed viewing of the sunsets, kites flying, and birds passing by. There isn't much of a view of the ocean, but it can be seen over the boardwalk.

Give it a try. Very nice.

I am not a fan of the adjustable 'air bed" in the master suite, my husband loved it. The futon couches were great for older teen kids. Plenty of counter space for cooking and serving food. Beautiful outlook of the dunes and grasses, if you want to see the ocean, would recommend a higher unit. Easy access to the board walk and beach. Super close to town. Would rent again in a heart beat. LOVED IT!

very comfortable and inviting

This is the second time we have stayed here. Both times we were here for a week. The living room, with 8 large windows wrapping around the corner of the building, gives a serene view in two directions making it possible to see the red marker on the Bolstad beach approach. Both times we were treated to some black tail deer visiting the grassy area in front. The water view has been improved due to some work that was done on the dunes. It is so nice to be able to go right to the board walk or the paved trail just a short walk through the grass. The reserved and covered parking space is the most convenient one of them all. We always feel safe and secure here because of the location and the deluxe door and window lock mechanisms. It would be nice if the gas fireplace worked though. The master king bed has dual adjustable controls to make it more comfortable. The location of this building is close to downtown, yet secluded from traffic noise on a private lane. We will be coming back sometime to "our" getaway.

Nice place

We visit Long Beach quite often and know the rental market fairly well. This is a nice little condo with direct beach access. Plenty of room. The only small thing is their wi-fi is configured with very obsolete security encryption, making the connection so slow it's not worth using.

The place was nicer than expected, very clean and felt good.

Luckily the tv was upgraded from what shows in the picture to a Vizio but the limited cable was a little challenging for those longer nights.

The location was great! The kitchen has every kind of dish, pot, pan, glassware, utensil etc. which is really handy, might want to bring your own spices though.... owner should throw out the (very) expired ones. :)

Mater bed was super comfortable!

It was lovely to be able to bring our four legged family members with us and with all the running on the beach they just slept at the condo!

Very, quiet and relaxing.
