Perfect place for a get away for 2! Recently remodeled and well maintained. Egyptian theme was appreciated and delightful. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. Loved the open concept between living room and kitchen. Kitchen was very nice, well stocked and functional for cooking meals. Balcony was relaxing and beautiful view of ocean. Easy access to beach and pool. Bedroom was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Host was very attentive and answered every question we had. We will be coming back for another stay soon!

Overall, we had a good stay. The condo is cute, modern, and shows very well. The master and trundle beds were comfortable, and the half bath was a nice convenience.The biggest area needing improvement is cleaning. There was sand on the floors, and underneath the couch/trundle was very dirty, including pills left on the floor. The cleaning crew could definitely be more thorough between guests.A few minor maintenance, cosmetic, and convenience items are worth mentioning: the sliding door was difficult to open and close, bedroom lighting was very dim, there were no nightlights for late-night navigation and, no clocks. The toilet paper provided was 1-ply, and we noticed a chipped dinner plate, chipped paint in the half bath ceiling, and a unsightly scratch on the toilet seat in the ½ bath. There were useless cords hanging underneath the countertop. The wall shelf near the bedroom also sticks out quite a bit, so be careful when exiting/going to the bedroom.None of these things ruined our stay, but addressing them especially the cleaning would make an already nice condo even better. Having to clean behind the paid cleaning crew was definitely not on our itinerary. Sadly, they seem to have mastered the art of making the condo appear clean while skipping the actual cleaning part. Sand on the floors, dirt and pills under the trundle/couch aren’t minor oversights—they’re signs that someone simply didn’t do the job. If guests are paying a cleaning fee they shouldn't have to clean.

we loved the unit - plenty of space for the 2 of us, clean, the balcony was fabulous. no fault of the owner, but we're used to staying in mid town, so we were a little further north than we like. the only thing w didn't like was the bed... we have a super firm mattress at home and have come to understand we aren't going to find that at the beach. otherwise, LOVED IT!!!!

I love staying at the Pyramid in OC because of the beachfront and location near stores and restaurants. The unit was without a lot of tacky beach nick-nacks. I loved the ambient lighting in the tv stand. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom shower needs to be updated and was the biggest disappointment along with the tiny washer and dryer. The sliding glass door was tough to open and close due to a build-up of sand. We came back from the beach one day and found two building maintenance guys trying to gain access to our unit to install cable. They were telling us they had a right to enter and I firmly disagreed and they came back the next day after we checked out. The host apologized and said they thought they were coming another day. Overall, I'd give the place a 3 out of 5. Not too bad for OC.
