Little Queen on Craven was built in1814. This charming two-bedroom, 1.5 bathroom Federal-Period home is perfect for a long weekend getaway.
Visit, relax, and explore! Whatever your motivation, you will be surrounded by historic charm with the modern amenities one would expect . . . kitchen complete with stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and standard cooking/serving items. WiFi is provided along with a Smart TV in the family room and master bedroom. You will also find a washer and dryer on the first floor for your convenience. The fenced in backyard is expansive and has a gate that opens up with a car sized opening that was once purposed for horse drawn carriages.
Enjoy the close proximity (walking distance) to everything Downtown New Bern has to offer - historic Tryon Palace, quaint shops, multiple restaurants, and Union Point Park with its magnificent views of the Neuse and Trent Rivers.

Cute home and great location!

First time in New Bern and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location was excellent and we walked around all weekend. Cute home with historic charm. Kelly responded quickly to any questions we had and also allowed us to check in earlier. Highly recommend!

Well maintained, charming, historic home. We enjoyed our stay here and it was close to everything in downtown New Bern. The host was great to work with- quick to respond and gave detailed information about the property.

Historic New Bern

Such a cute house and property, close to the river and downtown. If hadn't been hot as hades we would have walked everywhere. Reallyy enjoyed our stay!

Cute with character!

Super cute place! We loved all the character inside the home and the modern amenities. Very clean. Kitchen had plenty of silverware, plates, etc. Quick walk into town. We had a most wonderful visit.

This old house is beautiful. It needs a little more care. Please check appliances to make sure they work. Need to re paint the baseboard going up the stairs. We loved it here.

Neuse River Bridge Run Weekend

A few of us met to do the Neuse River Bridge run. The little queen cottage was perfect! Excellent location, excellent space inside the home and perfectly appointed. The bedrooms were much larger than the pictures show, we were pleasantly surprised! We all loved our stay and can’t wait to gather in New Bern again at this same house. The host was informative, welcoming and kind.

Great little cottage!

Well appointed little cottage in close proximity to historic New Berne. We were able to walk to lots of great bakeries, restaurants, and shops! Great communication with the host.

Cute Little House in New Bern!

My husband and I traveled with our 15 year old daughter to visit relatives in New Bern and we stayed at this property for 4 nights. When we first walked into the home, it is overwhelming to see all the quirks of an 1814 build and think of all the people who have lived there and many events that have occurred. The home was very clean and provided all the essentials we needed. The owners were responsive and great to work with. We highly recommend this property!

New Bern two night stay

It was a fantastic stay! Neither of the three ladies who stayed had visited New Bern before; being NC natives, we wanted to see the first state capital and the town. We first took a trolley tour of the city and got an overview of the history. Next we took a tour of Tryon Palace. Great choices! But our house, Little Queen, was the best! Built in 1814, it was beautifully restored. Two beautiful bedrooms and a large futon in the downstairs living area gave all three of us private sleeping areas. It was wonderful, and we hope to return someday!

Perfect little home away from home

What a cute little historic home in New Bern! Such a great location with excellent walkability to everything you would want to see and do in NB! We had everything we needed and the owner was super responsive throughout the entire process. Highly recommend! It was perfect for our family of 4 and can easily sleep more with the pull out couch options.

The house was as advertised. I loved the historic feel along with modern conveniences. They also made sure to have some nice extra touches that you don't always get. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Enjoyed my stay at this property. It was clean, comfortably appointed, nicely decorated and very close to downtown. I felt safe in the neighborhood. All the necessities were provided. Nice yard.

In town for a wedding

Little Queen was the perfect lodging for 5 adults. Steps away from the water to watch the sunrise and have coffee. Close to downtown and the farmer’s market. The house is quaint with lots of charm! It is also beautifully decorated. We loved Little Queen and know that you will too!

Highly Recommend - Lovely Stay!

We planned to visit our son who is stationed close by, we ended up having a few of his Marine buddies show up after hearing there would be home cooking for dinner. The kitchen was great, allowing us to make a big meal. Has pretty much everything you need. “This house feels like home” several of them said while eating. Clean, beautifully decorated and safe. Bathrooms clean, stocked and lovely decor. Bedrooms were the same, lovely. My son had his room and we had the other but if you have a larger family you could easily use the pullout couch - we didn’t need it but it was available. Don’t let the 2 bedrooms scare you off, this home is nice and roomy while being cozy. It was a much needed pleasant stay in a lovely little area.

A Wonderful Gem

This home shows all the loving touches of an owner dedicated to helping your vacation in North Carolina the best that it could be. In New Bern, you are close to the heart of downtown, and close to the waterfront walking paths...and yes, even close to a great coffee shop. And the home itself is sparkling clean, with great kitchen appliances, plush bath linens and best of all, the most comfy living room furniture I've ever enjoyed in a vacation rental. The fact that this property is managed by the owner herself, and not a big company managing dozens of vacation rentals, shows at every turn. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay there as much as I did!

Amazing

The cleanest VRBO, that I have ever stayed in. The cottage was decorated in great colors and so comfortable. The cottage met our expectations and then some. Will definitely be back and have already recommended it to others. The only recommendation would be a floor lamp in the corners for the sofa and chaise lounge. We used the kitchen and dining lights to give us enough reading light. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and loved the quilts. It was a quiet neighborhood and we felt safe. Thanks again.
