Our stay was great! The beaches of Cape San Blas were beautiful white sand with an abundance of shells. We loved the super short walk to the beach out of the back door. The state park was just a few minutes down the road and was beautiful!Carol was super quick to respond to any questions we had!
The house has everything needed for a week at the beach. The downstairs bar area has everything you need to serve dinner and hang out after spending the day on the beach.
we love this property and the one next door, which we have already rented for 2026. this will be our 3rd year.there are 10 of us 6 adults and our four grands. Great memories being built here. Keep up the good work
We had the best long weekend! The house could not be in a better location and has plenty of room for 12 adults. Carol was readily available to answer any questions/help out during our stay. We hope to stay here again next year!
House is perfect for large groups. We couldn’t have loved it anymore. The Tiki Bar was an added surprise and our favorite evening hang out spot. Great house and great owners. Thanks so much for making our family vacation special!
The property was very clean and the owners have recently spent a great deal of money remodeling. The views and sounds from the deck was incredible. We had a wonderful time at The Barbie house!
Our family stayed here over spring break and it was the perfect get away! Right on the beach the kids were able to just go back and forth. It was a little harder for our grandma to get around just because of a lot of stairs and the steep slope down to the beach but for the rest of us it was fine. Our air wasn’t working right downstairs and I messaged our host and she was there within 10 minutes and had it fixed immediately. 10/10 would definitely visit again!
Property was wonderful. Very well maintained and hosts were available for questions. The pictures and descriptions in vbro were exactly what we found. House so close to the beach and that was such a plus for us. Would definitely rent this house again. Adorable convenient store close by and a cute seafood restaurant. No complaints at all!
We had an amazing vacation and stay at the Barbie house. The house was clean and the location was perfect. The house was even better than what the pictures show and the tiki bar was a perfect touch. Carol was such a pleasure to work with and was available anytime I had a question or needed something. This was our first time visiting the Cape and we already have our trip booked with Carol for next year! We all agreed this was a PERFECT vacation!
Cape San Blas was everything we hoped it would be. And our beachfront House met all of our needs. There were 11 in our group aging from 70 down to 2. The house was great and the ocean front views were spectacular. Phil and Carol are delightful and very responsive to any requests we made. We will definitely return.
We enjoyed our stay at the Barbie house. The house was clean and spacious. Check in and out was easy and the owner was responsive to us. It is right on the beach! The only word of caution is that the bunk room is located on the ground floor by itself and it has its own entry door. Not a good place to put small children by themselves, if you’re considering this for a kids room. Overall, very nice.
We really enjoyed our week at The Barbie House. There was plenty of room for our group and love that every room has its own bathroom. We were concerned about the rope for railing on the porch and were afraid of the small kids falling through. Also, we would recommend putting blinds up in the rooms due to it getting so hot during the day. The guys really enjoyed the outside tiki bar area! Thanks for a great week!
We had a great week in the pink house! There were 12 adults and we had plenty of room. There were some hiccups, the guests that stayed the week before broke the dryer so we ended up with a clothesline on the back deck and there wasn’t really any seating on the top deck. But none of that matters, our family enjoyed being so close to the beach and sitting on the main deck and the area under the house watching the ocean. We all agreed, we would stay here again.

We were extremely apologetic that the dryer was broken. The part was on order, and we had no control as to its arrival. Unfortunately, the part arrived at the end of Marcia‘s week and the dryer was repaired immediately.
There are three levels of porches at the property. Downstairs there were two tables with chairs and two chases. On the main living floor there are multiple tall Adirondack chairs. Any of this furniture could have easily been moved to the third story. Or we also have spare outdoor furniture that could’ve easily been provided for her had she informed us of her desires.
Today I will have more furniture moved up to the third story porch now that it has been brought to our attention.
We stopped by a couple of times to check on Marcia and her family, and this request was never mentioned.
Upon all of our guest’s arrival we greet them and provide our business card. We answer our cell phones 24 hours a day, we live less than a half a mile away, and have staff on call 24 hours a day. We are available to meet any need.
Our goal is to make sure that everyone has the best vacation possible!
It was a literal Barbie dream house for our family!
We have a large family ranging from ages 2-76. This is the first house that has been a PERFECT fit for us! Everyone had their own room and separate bathroom which is so nice! The downstairs bunk room and bathroom was so nice for our boys. It really kept a lot of sand from entering the house because they would just rinse outside, and walk straight into their bathroom to shower. The outside tiki bar area was AMAZING!!! We spent so much time there. We even rented a blackstone and the boys would cook breakfast down there each morning, keeping a lot of the mess out of the kitchen. The closeness to the beach could not be beat! It is such a close walk it made life so easy if we had to run up to the house for lunch, drinks, or a diaper change. We are hoping to return next year if we are able! This will be the first time in 40 years we have ever stayed at a house twice... this home cant be beat for the price!
The location is beautiful with gorgeous sands and the ocean is great. Easy drive to the state park for bay access. For older members of our group going down the dune and back up to get to the beach without stairs was hard.
The outdoor seating is great for enjoying a cup of coffee or sunset. If you fill the house the inside seating is a bit tight but we spent as much time outside as we could.
Carol is easy to reach and very responsive to any questions.
Would be aware that there is nothing left in the house. Not necessarily a negative but unusual for vrbo’s I have previously stayed in and a nice thing to know for packing. Be sure to bring whatever spices, salt, pepper, oil, etc for cooking things you need to save yourself some money at the store. There is hand soap and whatever paper towel that is left and a starter in the bathrooms, but if you have room good to pack laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, and napkins. If you have little kids bring plastic cups.
Pack your games and cards for night time fun.
There is a nice new deck underneath the house with a full bathroom. The downstairs bunk room doesn’t have a bathroom so you have access to the outside one or the main floor living has a bathroom. My kids all shared this one and worked out fine.
A lovely home for our family vacation. The view of the beach was beautiful from all levels. Outdoor entertainment space was great. Small, minor details could use attention: light bulbs out in a few places, kitchen missing a few basic things you would expect, but overall a great home. Beds were very comfortable!
