The pictures on the website don't do this house justice. It is absolutely beautiful! Super clean and kid friendly! Our stay was amazing! It is in a great location on the Cape. The screened in back porch makes for excellent views of the bay without the hassle of bugs. No complaints whatsoever! Will definitely say here again!
This is the seventh time we have rented Dock of the Bay, it is just the best place on Cape San Blas. The recovery from hurricane Michael got us a new dock which is welcome. Looking forward to next year, we'll be back.
Wonderful Spacious Home, w/ a Fully Screened Back Patio & recently built private pier!
Home away from Home, - The pictures don't do it justice (Needs Better Lighting for the pics) The property was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for our 3 families & kids. We loved the property very much. Just the timing of the weather and a family member getting sick was our misfortune during this trip. Hurricane Michael hit Mexico Beach area north of the Port St. Joe and Cape San Blas. It was surreal driving through that area just 9 months after that Hurricane - all the damage to homes, buildings, trees snapped light toothpicks that still shows. Then when we arrive, Hurricane Barry was brewing in the Gulf and potentially making landfall when we were heading home to Houston, Texas. We weren't able to fully enjoy the beach, the fishing for the short time we were there. the weather was mostly rain scattered showers throughout the day the the whole time we were there b/c of Hurricane Barry brewing in the gulf. I would suggest the owners to have a printed out laminated map with where the public beach accesses are clearly labeled and a list of boat charters available on Cape San Blas, had to do some scouting for the public access beaches by driving up & down the main road even still the signs were easily missed. The nearest supermarket for groceries is a good 16.5 miles / 27 mins into town at the Piggly Wiggly. So do your grocery shopping before heading in to the property.
Beautiful place very spacious. Perfect for our family. I think the cleaning crew were in a hurry. It could have been cleaned a little better. The towels given us were small! However over all a great place!!
Better than Expected!
