Adventures in the woods was recently renovated. This is a 4 bedroom cozy cabin that sleeps 10 people. Every room is fully stocked, has an outbuilding for toy storage and a sauna to relax in. This cabin is situated on 40 acres, is only a half mile from the snowmobile/ORV trail and just down the road from the Ottawa National forest. Whether you are looking for a relaxing get away, a bird or deer hunting trip, riding the trails on snowmobiles or ATV/UTV or exploring the western UP, this is the perfect location for you.

Was just there for a guy’s snowmobile weekend and had a great time. Jackie was easy to communicate with, explained everything, house looks just like the pics, and great location 1/2 hole off the trail. I would highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back.

The place was great. Beautiful house, comfortable beds, it was close to the snowmobile trail and you could go so many different ways on the trails. It was an overall great experience will definitely be coming back

Great stay and location!

6 of us came up to snowmobile. The owners were very friendly, helpful and had great communication. Location was awesome to get to the trails and the house was set up nicely for snowmobiling; front room to change and hang all your gear and boot/helmet warmers. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

We stayed for a long weekend for my niece’s wedding.

Long weekend for a wedding, wonderful stay but too quick. We all would have liked longer to adventure around and experience the trails and falls. We also truly enjoyed the cozy cabin. It was big enough for all 7 of us to not feel crowded and have some family time together as well. Great stay!

Great location for Western UP hiking and waterfalls.

If you want to hike the hills of the western UP and find many amazing waterfalls this is the place for you! Dozens of waterfalls within and hour of the house. The house itself accommodated our group of 7 comfortably overall I have no complaints.

UTV in the UP

Went to the UP to ride with some friends. Had an amazing time both of the trails and at the house. House was awesome plenty of room, has all the amenities you need from towels, to a fully stocked kitchen. Owner was always quick to respond to questions. Would highly recommend staying there.

A nice time away

We really enjoyed the out of the way, but not really location of this cabin. Even though we mostly only spent our evenings in the cabin because we went all over the Western UP hiking, waterfall hunting & just enjoying the outdoors. The cabin was well stocked with dishes & cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc.. We were able to have a nice sit down breakfast & put together lunches for each day. Then we tried a different restaurant wherever we were each night. Overall the cabin did not disappoint.

Family winter vacation.

We normally come to the Northwoods area every year for our annual family snowmobile trip. This year was not a year for snow put the owners of the cabin were very helpful in guiding on activities for us to enjoy since snowmobiling was not an option. The cabin was clean and well decorated. They have everything you need in the kitchen minus food in the fridge for your stay. Games to play, movies to watch and tvs in every room. Anytime we had a question they responded very promptly. Would highly recommended this place for you stay!!

Family Trip

Overall our stay at the cabin was great. No complaints about the cleanliness of the cabin, everything was in great condition and the cabin was decorated beautifully. We weren’t able to take advantage of any trails on the property as they couldn’t be used on foot so only mornings and evenings were spent at the cabin itself. Unfortunately global warming etc. has changed the summer climate in the UP. The sun didn’t set until close to 10pm during our stay and the cabin is without any type of AC. We found this problematic during our stay as the temperature upstairs remained at 80-86 degrees all but one evening. Would recommend a window unit at least for the upstairs as the temps up here aren’t as cool as they used to be. Overall a good stay but wouldn’t choose this one again in the summer.

Thank you for sharing feedback on your stay. We pride ourselves on accurate representation of the property which is why there is no A/C listed as an amenity. We discussed this prior to your arrival. While we understand warm weather can be uncomfortable, we hope the fans provided were helpful. The main level should have accommodated the three of you for sleeping to avoid the upstairs if it was uncomfortable. The trails are in the woods and are typically ridden by ATV or UTV. We cut the trails once a year and if they are not ridden, the natural habitat tends to grow with rain and sunshine. We hope you otherwise enjoyed the UP.

Every in our group of 6 enjoyed the stay. Plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the wood stove in the kitchen. Jackie the host was a joy to work with. We would definitely stay there again.
Plenty of room for trailers. Excellent area for snowmobiling.
