Nice house with a large flat yard bordering the river. Gorgeous view of the Pinnacles. Nicely furnished, comfortable beds and nice linens. Bedrooms are at either end of the house, which would make this a nice fit for two couples. Rental collective was very responsive. Pet friendly. Would stay again.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We're thrilled you enjoyed our River Oasis home and that you got to soak in the views of the Pinnacles from the deck and yard. There's something special about relaxing along the banks of the Rio Grande as it goes rolling right by. We're so glad the beds, linens, and furnishings made you feel at home. You're right that the bedrooms at opposite ends of the house make it a great fit for two couples, since everyone gets a little extra privacy. We're also happy your furry family member could come along for the adventure! It was a pleasure helping you along the way, and we'd love to welcome you back to Creede anytime. We hope to see you again soon!

Overall this was an excellent property. The surroundings were quiet and safe. We loved access to the river right in your own back yard. The house is all on one level so few stairs to deal with. The kitchen was very well stocked. A few considerations…there is no dishwasher so you are eating off dishes someone else has hand washed and you will have cleanup duty after each meal. I know this is a first world problem but it’s something to consider. The house is well ventilated and, because of the altitude, always cool in the evening. The pictures accurately represent the house and property and there were no surprises. Creed Colorado has a small market so I’d advise showing up with any speciality items you may want, including your own brand of favorite coffee. Overall, an excellent property!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful and detailed review! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the peaceful and safe surroundings, easy river access, single-level layout, and well-stocked kitchen. We’re also glad the home matched the photos and that you had no surprises during your stay. We appreciate your helpful note about the lack of a dishwasher and the need to plan ahead for specialty groceries and coffee. Those are great tips for future guests. Thank you again for staying with us and for sharing your experience—we’re so happy to hear you found the property to be excellent overall and hope to welcome you back to Creede again!

Our family loved this place! Beautiful views and close to town.We had an early morning visit from a mother deer with babies, lots of hummingbirds and many other types of birds if you are into bird watching. Plenty of wood provided for the fire pit. We were able to get a fishing license online and fish the river in the back yard while cooking out on the back deck. The home was very clean with comfortable beds and other thoughtful accommodations. Plenty of fans.We saw a show at Creede Repertory Theater and it’s definitely worth going!Overall would definitely book this one again.

This is a lovely home & located very close to the Rio Grande - steps away. We watched deer & geese while sitting out there in the evenings. It is beautifully decorated & you will want for nothing - it is very well appointed. Each of the two bedrooms/bathrooms are located on opposite ends of the house so the layout is perfect for two couples. It is located a ways from the town of Creede so be prepared to shop for food or drive into town for dinner. You also need to open 2 ranch gates to enter the property. It’s not a problem but it was a surprise for us. You are surrounded by mountains & beauty & no other people or guests. A real treasure!

Absolutely Wonderful!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: VRC is absolutely amazing to work with. They truly care about making your rental experience outstanding from the moment you book with them. We walked into the River Oasis and were astounded with how clean and well appointed the place was. By far, the cleanest place we've ever stayed in the Creede / South Fork area. They had SEVERAL extra blankets and pillows in the closets that were SO cozy! Having little things like salt and pepper, tupperware, baggies and doggie dishes and towels was wonderful too! This place truly had it all and the view each day was spectacular. Location was super convenient to everything as well. I'm scared to recommend this place too much because we love it and can't wait to return, but I definitely have to give credit where credit is due. You won't be disappointed booking River Oasis through VRC - both are exceptional!

creede riverfront home

A traditional large 70'-80's ranch lodge familyhome on a working ranch, just outside CREEDE downtown proper along a public access stretch of the Rio Grande river (overfished). Not that scenic, but a good base for exploring the area with a large kitchen/dining/family area, deck, and laundry room. Lots of good drinking water and hot water, has all the kitchen/laundry/personal care essentials and 2 comfy king beds in 2 large bedrooms (hard to find king beds!) lots of closet space, a small office with futon and roll away bed for kids. Fans for summer cooling, wall heating/space heating/freestanding fireplace for cool nights. Cleaning could be better, dust and bugs are always a challenge in the desert and mountains area. Decent internet and cell service. Its a short drive down the private ranch dirt road and over a short 1000 ft. of steep, bumpy section to the river. Quiet, dark at night, muledeer/rabbits/birds/ducks/hawks sometimes elk, and beware of scavenging bear. BE SURE to get the access code for the RANCH GATE too, as it can be locked at times! Probably one of the better rentals among limited options in Creede area. The local management contact was very responsive, but double layer of sign up/ emails through VRBO was confusing and contradictory to the ones from local property management. Directions were terrible. Street addresses are useless. You MUST know to look for the "W..." RANCH SIG just inside the ranch gate access road off Deep Creek Rd (aka 550).

Gail, we appreciate you taking time to leave us a review. Your feedback really helps potential guests know if this place is the right fit for them! You're right that dust and bugs can be challenging in the mountain areas, but our cleaners pay close attention to their cleans to help limit the appearance of both for our guests. I am sorry that the dual messaging was confusing from VRBO and us. We will review both to see if there is a way to improve the experience for future guests. Overall, it seems that you had a very wonderful stay! We are glad you liked staying with us, and we hope you come back soon!
