This cabin is ideally located in the Shotgun Village area of Island Park. Nestled in the pines, it offers seclusion yet is close to all summer and winter activities. World-famous fly fishing and snowmobiling, 4-wheeling (100s of miles of groomed trails) are right out your front door.
After a great day of snowmobiling or cross-country skiing relax in the hot tub on the deck. West Yellowstone, Yellowstone National Park just 30 minutes away. Easy access available year around.

My wife and I purchased this cabin for our 25th anniversary.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 2000
Mountains, Trees, Yellowstone National Park. This is truly Gods country.
Maybe the fact that we arrived on my birthday made this visit so special. However, regardless of the date, our stay at the Felts' cabin was so far above expectations, we could not have imagined. The cabin was so warm and comfortable. It is beautifully decorated and the private space vs community space was just right for our group. Each night, after a long day in the park, we shared dinner prepared on the propane grill provided by the hosts. The beds were great, and having 2 1/2 baths for our party of 6 was wonderful. The bull elk who came into the cabin lawn as we were preparing to leave on our last day, was the icing on the cake. As one other reviewer mentioned, the pictures do not do this cabin justice as it is just lovely, well maintained, and has everything one would need for your stay. We loved it and will definitely return again to see beautiful Yellowstone.
The cabin is beautiful! Everyone is right the pictures don't do it justice. My children and I thoroughly enjoyed the foos ball table, my son even managed to start beating his old man. We all enjoyed the hot tub and spent many evenings in it after our many trips around Island Park and Yellowstone. I was a little concerned that the cabin would be hot with no AC but if you leave the windows and doors closed during the day and turn the large ceiling fan on it is perfect. There was everything you could possibly need to cook anything you wanted. The refrigerator is very well stocked with all kinds of condiments, we even added a few to the mix for the next guest. Plenty of room for my family of four. The only reason for not being five stars is the amount of people riding ATV's and Side by Sides in the area kicking up a lot of dust and making that annoying ATV noise (I even ride quads and it was a bit too much for me). This is not the the owners fault it just seems to be the area during the summer. I'm sure in the winter it is that way with snowmobiles. Overall fantastic place to stay and the price is very reasonable. Location was perfect for going anywhere in the area. Sawtelle peak, Henry's fork to float the river, Johnny Sac's cabin, Rexburg for bear world, Yellowstone. One bit of advice is if you are coming in from the south stop in Rexburg to buy groceries (especially Sunday, seems most businesses are closed). The best restaurant to eat at is literally 2 minutes away, Boondocks another nice place to eat was 10 minutes away on the reservoir, Lakeside Lodge. Overall my family loved this place and the home base it afforded us for all our adventures. Clint and Laurie are very easy to deal with and friendly as well. Clint even called to make sure we got in OK. Thank you again for sharing your piece of heaven with my family.
In one word: NICE
The pictures posted on the internet don't do the justice. The cabin is large, quiet, clean and lovely!
There was 4 of us and we had plenty of space. One couple slept downstairs in the master bedroom with the en suite bathroom, another couple slept in the upstairs bedroom with the bathroom in the upstairs hallway. So each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. There was an additional bed in the loft next to the upstairs bedroom which we didn't use at all.
We always met in the open living room/kitchen and ate around the kitchen's counter breakfast bar, which serves as a dinning room. There is no additional typical formal dinning room table which we liked a lot as we eat at home everyday in the formal dinning room. The kitchen counter with 5 high stools was fun! To us is was something different than what we have at home.
We rented a car, which is a MUST and took everyday trips for 10 days. Each day we came back to the cabin for a good nigh sleep.
Please contact me if anyone would have any questions.
Thank you for having us!

We had a great time and the cabin was perfect! It was clean and comfortable and just the right size. The location was perfect and Clint was super responsive. Would definitely recommend it!
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin in the woods! It was beautifully decorated , comfortable and very clean! We stayed here on our visit to Yellowstone with our two teenaged children, they each had their own bed and were very content up in the loft. The hot tub was a bonus after a long day visiting Yellowstone. The west entrance was about 30 min away and fairly convenient. We woke up one morning to a moose right outside the window which was a highlight for us. It is about two hours to the Jackson area and the Grand Tetons which we visited twice while there on our stay. The owners were always available for questions and were easy to deal with. We definitely recommend this property and would love to stay here again if we are in the area. Thank you Clint and Lori for sharing your beautiful home with us. We will have some Wonderfull Family memories to remember about this trip.
The property is better than the pictures show, Clint should post more. I have stayed almost exclusively at VRBO properties over the last 15 years. I will try to cover things that I wish others would cover on properties that I have not visited. First, the 20-30 minutes to Yellowstone was 30+ for me. I say that because first approached the property from West Yellowstone, and I was getting VERY concerned with the length of the drive, thought I was lost. But it was not bad for the daily commute to YS. Next I had very poor cell coverage on Verizon. I actually liked that, as it made me disconnect more from work, but I just wish I had been better prepared. The cabin is BY FAR the best stocked one that I have stayed in. Pots, pans, glasses, knives, towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, etc, we wanted for nothing. The other HUGE, HUGE plus for me was it was stocked with nearly every spice and condiment you could imagine or hope for. Some places they don't even have salt and pepper. We rent cabins to cook and save money over a hotel. But when you fly and have to buy a bottle of spice and Worcestershire for a couple of steaks, or ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc for one night of hamburgers, sometimes you don't save much. And what's worse, it always seems we forget something simple. We used the last of one or 2 things, but replaced for the next person. Speaking of food, the cabin is in a food desert. We stopped at a bar at the end of the gravel road to ask about a grocery store. Two people working there just looked at us like we were crazy. I changed the question to where do you buy groceries? They both said they drove 1 1/2 hours to Idaho Falls. Not an option for me. The only customer (which had obviously also consumed nearly all of the alcohol in the building) suggested “Robins Roost”. We stopped at a nearby restaurant and asked about grocery stores. Same crazy look from 4-5 people, but another said RR. So off to RR, which is only a couple of miles. RR is one small step above a convenience store. Next to no veggies, and little to no meat. What was there I wouldn’t eat. There are 2 grocery stores on Google in W. Yellowstone. Both are really small. We shopped (sorry forget the name) at one that was 1 block off the main drag. Well stocked. The most important thing NOT mentioned is... the doors can open from the inside, while still locked on the outside. NOT something you want to discover after climbing out of the hot tub wearing only a towel. Don't ask how I know!?!
West Yellowstone, Montana and the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park only 30 minutes away.
Big Sky and Targee Ski Resorts within 1-1/2 hours drive.
