The place was super clean and lovingly appointed. Especially loved the variety of free vanity items provided in the bathroom.
Highly recommend.

We wanted to love the property. The pictures were extremely deceptive. We really don't want to leave negative feedback, however, we'd hate for others to be misled. The building is not ready to be used as a rental. We have concerns about its safety & cleanliness. We love old buildings, but this place clearly isn't ready to be used as a vrbo & had we known this ahead of time, we would not have booked a stay there. It was way overpriced, given it's condition. Not sure a fire or electrical inspection has been done recently either. Very poor & would not recommend to anyone at this time.

I have no idea what your talking about. Everything has been updated. Im not sure what your talking about that the pictures are misleading. That is very offensive. It looks exactly as pictured. The only thing that is changed is the bedding color, oh and we added new blackout curtains. If your referring to the back entrances, as to why the building isn't "rentable" thats absolutely ridiculous. We had a contractor start doing them last summer and never showed back up. We have been tirelessly trying to find someone else to finish them. The entrances are open. That is all, they are completely safe. It has no effect on the apt. Apparently your not to familiar with rentals and other short term rentals in the area. Maybe you should check out the local hotels that are twice the price and I can guarantee they are in much worse condition. We have a very good value. Our guests are very happy with our property and they love it. Our long term tenants who actually live here are very happy with the building and their home also. This is your opinion, and I'm trying not to let it bother me. But it is very offensive.
The apartment was clean and met our needs for the trip. We appreciated the ability to bring our mountain bikes in. There were improvements being made to the exterior of the building even while we were there. We appreciated the water and soda in the refrigerator and enjoyed the Keurig coffeemaker. Thanks for a great stay!
We stayed here while we had a local youth hockey tournament this past weekend. Everything was perfect for the apartment we stayed in. Would rent again if up in the area.

Thank you so much. We are so happy you guys enjoyed your stay. We would love to have you stay again any time.
I was in town for a reunion and this apartment was a perfect location to the down town area and the historic high school. We rated this 3 stars for accuracy of listing because we were switched to a different apartment.

As I had stated to you in my message, i upgraded you to our better apt. Only because I had an elderly couple who were staying and needed the ground floor apt. This was un upgrade, as this apt costs more. My other other guests were more than happy to switch when asked. I was unable to alter the reservation on this site, so I was only able to let you know through a message.
Needed to be close to family and this location was walking distance. Loved the old building vibe. Came in too early and everyone was accommodating. Loved the bowl of candy and fridge with drinks! I will stay there again!
Enjoyed the stay ,very nice we had a bit of confusion at the beginning. We had to park behind the rental unit then search for mailbox which was in the front

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy you enjoyed your stay. I do mention in my instructions you can park in front or back, and the key is in the mailbox. I also detail the exact entrances to use. Im sorry it was confusing. Ill try to make it more clear.
Host is exceptional, thoughtful and kind. Many nice small touches like a medicine cabinet full of things like toothpaste and toothbrushes, deodorant etc. There is coffee and tea available. The beds and linens were clean and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was adequate. The building is full of character and unique. Areas for improvement include the entrance from the parking is in the back but the key is around the building in the front. There was a large muddy puddle you had to jump or maneuver around in the entrance to get to the door. And there was a lack of light fixture shades and covers so the lightning was a bit harsh. We enjoyed our stay, thank you.

It is an old building undergoing renovations, so there were the typical old-building characteristics, like doors that don't quite close, slightly musty smell. I would HIGHLY recommend adding room darkening curtains because there is a lot of ambient light from the street. We did not sleep well.

The closest bedroom is not obvious in the listing. The neighbors decided to start renovating at 7 pm while we were trying to sleep. Even with the second bedroom being in the closest the overhead light doesn’t work and is a borderline safety hazard. The window is painted closed so if you want some privacy you’ll get zero air flow. We turned the ac all the way down it was still hot in the house. Would not stay here again

My husband has rental properties so we decided to make this cute apt into a short term rental. We are very flexible and have many accommodations. We provide pop, coffee, creamer and sugar. Let us know if there's anything else to make your stay more enjoyable.
Why they chose this property
We bought this historic old building a few years ago. We have put in many, many hours restoring it.
What makes this property unique
This building was first built to house the Oliver Mine Company workers.
