The property was amazing, within driving distance to a lot of popular locations, yet excluded enough for peace and quiet, not to mention this was pet friendly. If this property was closer to home, we would visit once per month!

Everything was perfect. The location, cabinet itself, amenities, safety, and security. We had a fabulous time and will definitely consider this as a yearly vacation spot.

Absolutely adored this little place. It is the best example of eclectic decorating I have ever seen. A pig hanging amongst fish that’s mixed with deer antlers that somehow look perfectly in place next to the Sasquatch and I could go on and on! A crock pot of fabulous eclectic wonder. I enjoyed just taking everything in. Such thoughtfulness in every detail does not go unnoticed. Loved the property and the fenced in dog area. This place is very well maintained and has absolutely everything anyone could need including the coffee and fixings. So peaceful at night you could fall asleep outside while stargazing. Would love to have seen a dog/toddler gate on the little front porch. Would highly recommend this property to anyone.

This was our second booking at the Get-A-Way. Check in was easy, June and Tim are very responsive to email. We took our kayaks and launched from their dock and our dog loves their large yard! Their cabin is well equipped and roomy, will stay again.

Long term stay

We have rented the Get-a-way for 30 plus days. June and Tim have been great with the responses and taking care of the property. Very nice people with well- appointed home. Our dog Murphy has enjoyed the large lot and I've enjoyed catching bluegill off the dock.

Well appointed cabin with large yard.

Enjoyed staying at "Get-A-Way", well appointed cabin and large yard were just what we needed. Quiet enough area we were able to walk our dog to the lake and not worry about traffic. We were able to launch our kayaks from the dock and paddle out to the main Bay and fish. You can walk down to the end of the road and pay 5 to fish off Rick's Pier call the crappie house. June and Tim we're very quick to answer any questions we might have had, thanks for the enjoyable stay.

Cabin Fun!

The property was perfect for our stay; Tons of outdoor room and outdoor play: kayaks, games, swing set, dock, porch, fire pit, etc. The “cabin” itself was immaculate, and every detail well thought out. We even had an Easter basket and decorations waiting for us on our arrival! Thank you so much!

Awsome stay

This was the most well equipped place we have ever stayed .June dose an amazing job making sure you will have everything that you need to make your stay enjoyable. The access with the private dock was also fantastic.

Great little cabin.

Great little place especially if you have kids. They will enjoy the bunk house experience. Plenty of games to play and kayaking activities. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

Can't Wait to Come Back

We had the best time and loved the tiny cabin. We love to travel and I have rented a lot of nice places but none have come close to having all the amenities as this one. June thought of everything and then some. We usually need to make a run to pick a few things up that we find we need, but not here. The lot is much larger than it looks so was great to walk the dog and kids would love playing here. The husband enjoyed catching fish from the beautiful deck.

A perfect family weekend

This cabin was so sweet and cozy! Everything was clean and labeled. Incredibly peaceful and so much fun for our kids (5 of them, ages 2-12) there were so many thoughtful things that made us feel comfortable and welcome! From Mrs June helping me navigate VRBO’s interface, to family games, and the ingredients for s’mores. We even took the tandem kayak out for a sunset cruise! It was just what our family needed to connect and relax for the weekend.

Fishing tournament

Came up for a 2 day tournament on Weiss lake. The place has everything you need to be comfortable. The loft upstairs is a little tight for a grown man(think it is meant for kids) but I did fit. There is a fold out couch if needed too. Easy to park a boat and I never worried about my stuff being outside. Only about a 6 min drive to Leesburg landing to launch the boat so it's very convenient for tournament fishing out of that boat ramp. I would definitely stay here again.

Weiss Lake is awesome. Family atmosphere mingled with serious fishermen! Crappie Capital of the World so the signs say!
