"You won't find a better host or destination anywhere. I travel in search of places & experiences like this one. They are few & far between. My only advice would be to stay longer than planned as you will not want to leave. Expectations were exceeded. Much thanks to the hosts that share such special places like this one." - Chris, Fairview TN
"I grew up in Columbia and every time we come back for a visit we stay here!! It’s became a second home. A second home that we love so much! Sitting on the large front porch and seeing family and friends is perfection. The farm is a perfect place for the kids to run and be free! The cabin has everything you could need. The king size bed is SO comfortable!!! We couldn’t love these place more! And Holly and Chris are both so kind. Would highly recommend staying here!!" - Becky, Benton TN
"We have stayed in many Airbnbs over the years, and I’m not fooling when I say this was our absolute favorite. It is, quite simply, and literally, a breath of fresh air. The farm is stunning and the accommodations are comfortable, beautifully decorated, clean, and well cared for. The individual fire pits are with overhead lights are so fun and accessible. Out of our entire week-long trip in Tennessee, my daughter’s favorite part was feeding Dixie, the horse. This is a place for the soul to be rejuvenated and healed and you don’t want to miss out on it! Stay here if you possibly can. You definitely won’t regret it! Not to mention all the interesting things to see and do in the area!" - Julia, Logan UT

Muletown Farm History This farm has quite a story behind it. The land was originally part of a larger parcel granted by George Washington to Colonel Grant for his leadership during the Revolutionary War.
Over time, the property made its way to the Armstrong family, who came here from South Carolina and worked the land for many years. Local history also says that Davy Crockett spent many nights here on the farm while traveling through the area, which is one of our favorite stories connected to this place.
It's pretty amazing to think about the people who have gathered on this farmover the years. There’s something about this place that sparks creativity. The quiet and history of the farm inspired my husband to write a book while we were in the process of restoring it.
Eventually the farm was owned by Dr. George, a beloved livestock veterinarian in Maury County. For decades, Dixie’s Cottage actually served as his veterinary clinic. After he passed away, the farm sadly fell into disrepair for a time, until we began slowly bringing it back to life.
When we found it, we could see the history and the potential right away. Since then, we’ve been slowly bringing the farm back to life and turning it into the kind of peaceful hobby farm and gathering place we knew it could be.
Our hope is that when people come here they can slow down, breathe a little deeper, enjoy the land, and leave feeling a little more refreshed than when they arrived. And if you stay with us, you’re really becoming part of the next chapter in the farm’s story.

The property was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the perfect amount of space for our girl's trip. I would recommend this place to anyone and hope to be back one day!

Thank you for your kind words, we are so happy that we were able to be apart of such a fun weekend! We hope to have you join us again soon!
We loved our stay at Muletown Manor, its rich rustic history, yet very comfortable and updated interior was just what our family needed. It is located easy driving distance to downtown Columbia and other amenities yet still with the quiet countryside feel. Perfectly clean, with very sweet hospitality from hosts. (And a gentle fun greeting from the friendly pony that the kids loved). Would definitely stay here again, wonderful family memories were made.

200+ Years of History Equals a Long Magical Weekend
We were in town for a family reunion and Mule Town Manor was and idyllic resting spot between events. The symphonic chorus of birds great you in the morning. The neon sunsets over tall grasses tuck you in at night. It is cozy and wonderful!

Thank you Jill! We are so glad you loved it on our farm as much as we do!
We had an amazing 4 nights. A beautiful/historic property. The home had everything we needed & felt very homey & cozy even though it’s so spacious. We had 6 adults & 3 kids. Kids loved giving Dixie the horse treats & had so much property to run & get their energy out. Holly was so kind when we had ?’s about trick or treating ideas. We enjoyed meeting some of the guests at the other guest cottages. If ever in the area again, we’d definitely stay again. Thank you for a great long weekend stay.
The property is even more beautiful than the pictures. We travel, a group of 6 adults. We truly felt like we were at home in this house. We ere only a short distance from town and plenty of great restaurants, yet when you turned on your road it was quiet and peaceful. We say deer and turkeys in the pasture behind the house.
Fantastic property, everything as advertised and more. Worry free stay, allowing us to focus on enjoying our time with family and making wonderful memories. So many little touches - including handmade jelly and farm fresh eggs. Owners give you a five-star experience yet are never seen. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!

My wife and I were in town for our son’s junior college regional baseball tournament. There was a total of 4 adults in our group. We have stayed in a couple different VRBO’s, and I must say this has been our favorite! Not only is the property beautiful, learning the story behind it really makes it more amazing! Very comfortable and relaxing!
Holly was very accommodating and responsive to all request!
A definite must if you are in the area!

Thank you so much, Todd! We hope you'll visit us again!
The Muletown Farm was an absolute dream. The whole property is everything you would want in a family vacation. The Manor house accommodated our family of 10 perfectly. We had everything we needed and more. We were able to cook all our meals at "home" with the stocked kitchen. We even had family staying at Maury County Park and we were able to have them over to crank up the grill and have a smores bonfire after Mule Day.
We loved our visit and will make sure we stay here for years to come. Not just the Manor house, but all the houses on the property. Cant wait to come back.

Hi! We’re the Browns. We fell in love with this 31-acre farm in 2017 and knew right away it was something special. We were looking for a peaceful place to slow down and get away from the busyness of life, and this land became that for our family. Now we love sharing it with guests who just need a place to relax, breathe a little deeper, and enjoy a little farm life for a few days.
Why they chose this property
One of the things we love most about this farm is you're just a short drive from Nashville and Franklin but when you come back here, life slows down.
We came here thinking we were going to restore an old farm, but the truth is this place restored us too. That’s the kind of peace we hope people find when they visit.
What makes this property unique
This farm has quite a story behind it.
The log walls of the Manor have been standing here for generations, and it’s pretty amazing to think about the people who have gathered inside them over the years. There’s something about this place that sparks creativity. The quiet and history of the farm inspired my husband to write a book while we were in the process of restoring it.
Eventually the farm was owned by Dr. George, a beloved livestock veterinarian in Maury County. After he passed away, the property sadly fell into disrepair for a time.

Our hope is that when people come here they can slow down, breathe a little deeper, enjoy the land, and leave feeling a little more refreshed than when they arrived. And if you stay with us, you’re really becoming part of the next chapter in the farm’s story.
