About Craig Cozart

We are semi-retired from careers as a graphic designer and photographer. We enjoy horses, rafting, and hiking. There are two friendly dogs on the property.

Craig Cozart purchased this cottage in 2005

Why Craig Cozart chose Pilot Hill

We wanted to be near the rafting on the American River, and we needed a place for our horses. We also wanted somewhere that was quiet and private, yet close to things like grocery stores.

What makes this cottage unique

You can be as active as you like- you can run, bike, ride, hike, raft, or just sit with a book and watch the deer eat my landscaping.

A sanctuary is waiting

  • 5 of 5

We chose this cottage because it looked comfortable for an extended stay (for my husband , myself, and our dog Skipper) between selling our home and move in date for new home. Exceeded “comfortable” by a long shot! Best decision we’ve made in a long time! If you like well designed layout, comfort features to soothe the soul, privacy, beautiful property and surrounding area book this country cottage this minute!

Incredible

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. We loved the two rescue bassets, Lyle and Scout. The house was warm, inviting, comfortable and beautiful. The owners were very helpful.

We hope to return.

always comfortable and welcoming

  • 5 of 5

We enjoy staying in this cozy cottage with our dog, Chloe. The entire property is fenced so she can be off leash to play with the two friendly resident dogs. Craig and Jane add another wonderful aspect to our stay here.

Gold Country Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely time on our recent vacation. Craig and Jane were very gracious hosts and have their very own "slice of heaven" in Pilot Hill. Their cottage is charming and designed very well with lots of windows and natural light. We brought our dogs with us who enjoyed roaming around the spacious grounds, which are all contained within a four foot wire fence. We enjoyed meeting Scout and Lyle, Craig & Jane's basset hounds, who were extremely friendly. We also got to meet Linda and her seven puppies, which was beyond cool! Thanks again for everything!

A slice of heaven

  • 5 of 5

We came to the area for a friend's wedding in Coloma. Absolutely loved everything about this place. The home was beautiful and clean, the hosts were friendly and kind AND we got to play with the litter of puppies they were fostering! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Map

The address works for GPS and maps. However, do not let your gps put you on Pilot View Drive. It does not go through. If you are coming up from El Dorado Hills, just stay on Salmon Falls Rd. until you get to Rattlesnake Bar Rd., turn left and come down to Tigerlily. The same applies when coming from Auburn. Stay on 49 to Rattlesnake Bar, turn right. Easy.
