Charming place to stay

It was just what we needed for a weekend getaway. It was close enough to Chicago that we were able to go exploring during the day, but far enough away that we were saved from the traffic and commotion of the big city during the night and for exploring closer to Tinley Park. Never felt unsafe. The host was quick with her responses and helpful with everything we needed! 10/10 recommend.

Quiet neighborhood near Chicago

As a family coming from California to Chicago I was naturally concerned about safety etc. this neighborhood was calm, quiet and very safe. Tracy was very informative and great communication. The home was as stated on the description. Plenty of towels, linens, and comfortable for the children to play and relax. We enjoyed our stay.

Sibling getaway

Loved our stay,not extremely far from the city! Comfortable furniture and clean! I loved how the old time family picture was hanging up! The back yard was awesome but we couldn't enjoy it due to rain,but thats okay! At first,i was a little put back that there was not a tv in the living room but we ended up chillin,talking and laughing which is what we needed! Thanks for the short but sweet stay!

Concerned renter

When I am looking to book my first concerns are safety and security. Two things were concerning. 1. There was a hole in the floor from the main floor to the basement. It was where an air return vent should have been. I was taped up and had signage. It was in the pathway from the bedrooms to the bathroom. We literally took a bar height stool and positioned it over the hole. We were fearful of waking up at night, heading to the bathroom and falling through. The hole was big enough that the chair didn't cover it all. We couldn't get the front door keypad to lock. We went as far as talking to someone that worked the company that made the lock to get help. We had to leave the backdoor of the home unlocked. We rented the property due to a volleyball tournament and had to be out of the house most of the day. When I reached out about this issue I was told by the propertt owner that she didn't know why it was happening but did not advise that she would help. We were in a bind because we had obligations to get to. Otherwise, the house is as stated.

Hi Leah, The vent hole is in front of the closet door with plenty of space to walk around it. The cover was ordered a while ago but but hadn't arrived yet. I also apologize for the door not locking. We have since resolved that issue and I am glad you were still able to get to your tournament with the floor register or lock presenting a problem. You are more than welcome to return whenever you like and hopefully, you'll have a better result. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. TRJs Rentals

This is a quiet area and a quiet block. Neighbors all speak to one another and do small favors for one another, like shovel the snow. The police are active and ride up and down the blocks patrolling. I love that.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

I love my yard. I did all the work myself and loved to relax back there. I love spring and summer in Chicago to put it together and sit back there grill and relax.
