About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Beach Getaway

 • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the time we spent here. The ocean views were great! Surroundings were very quiet and we enjoyed seeing the elk and deer in the area. Will definitely be back.

Could be Magnificent!!

 • 1 of 5

Our book group of six women rented the Gorman Beach House for its annual retreat (our 11th and the first time we’ve been disappointed in our rental choice). Don’t misunderstand ... the house could be magnificent and the view is absolutely breathtaking, but unfortunately, the house is in a state of disrepair and ill-equipped, particularly considering the rental rate. Vacasa, however, is a terrific rental agency. We would not hesitate to rent through Vacasa again. Vacasa employees and, in particular, Lonnie, were very responsive. The owners, however, need to address the deficiencies. Some of the bedrooms had no end tables and no lamps. The main floor bedroom lamp was broken and the faucet in the shower did not work properly. The shades in the bedrooms fortunate enough to have shades were broken .. nearly impossible to raise or lower. One window on the main floor was cracked. A window in one of the downstairs bedrooms was broken, had no screen, and, once opened, had to be shut from outside the house. Minimal furniture ... no comfy chairs in any of the bedrooms or anywhere in the house, for that matter. The sink in the bathroom (kids’ room downstairs) was plugged and did not drain properly. The ice machine did not work. The top tray of the dishwasher falls out. The garbage cans were full (and stinky). The kitchen was inadequately supplied ... not enough dishes, utensils or pots/pans. The rental regulations are numerous and a bit draconian, but there are absolutely no instructions for the heat, fireplaces, audio system, stove, etc., which simply doesn’t make sense. If the owners would repair/replace as necessary, we would consider renting again next year ... but not if the house remains as is.

Amazing!

 • 5 of 5

This trip was a really big deal. It was my mom's 80th birthday complete with family flying in from all parts of the US to surprise her and stay for a couple nights. I had been a little concerned because of previous reviews but after a few phone calls to Vacasa they came through like rock stars! The house was not only spotless but they had left a beautiful flower arrangement and card for my mom. WOW! What an amazing touch. The house itself is more impressive than the pictures show. The living room has an open area with floor to ceiling windows that is awe inspiring. The bedrooms all have views and bathrooms (only one needs to use the full bath on the main floor). There are walk in showers with stone that I adored and my parents loved the claw foot tub to soak in with skylights above. The kitchen is open to the living and dining room with views of the ocean. There is a heard of Elk that visit the area which were so fun to watch and we saw a bear with her cub!

Here are a few things that will help those thinking of renting this house:

1. They mention the water usage. This is truly no concern. As long as you don't leave a shower or sink running and leave, all will be well.

2. The path to the beach is beautiful and they have put a lot of work into it recently. The lower part has a chain railing you can hold on to and is the stepper part. There are leaves on the ground so it may be hard for some but my mom (80), who is in great shape, was able to get up and down with no problems.

3. There is no air conditioning in the house so the living and dining room can get warm. one might consider bringing a fan to move the air. Lots of doors and windows to open but not a lot of air movement. No ceiling fans.

4. The kitchen......if you like to cook bring your own knives and pans! At one time there was probably a lot of wine glasses but no longer, so they are all different sizes. Some of the plates are chipped but enough for a big group. The dishwasher runs a long time and the top rack kept falling to the side and the bottom rack can just come right on out onto the floor if you're not careful. The Stove is OK and I figured out that if you turn the electric burner to the right it's the smaller portion of the burner and to the left will give you the wider circumference.

5. Because the house sits between Neskowin and Pacific City the beach is empty.

This is a fabulous house I don't think I'll ever want to anywhere else!

Coffee Party USA Working Board Retreat

 • 4 of 5

Coffee Party Board Directors from all over the USA met for our annual in-person meeting in Neskowin OR. We reviewed our past year and planned our upcoming year - all while looking out from our huge windows over the inspiring ocean scene. There was a bedroom for each of us and we slept deeply, breathing the fresh, cool air. We took turns cooking in the large well stocked kitchen and the handy propane grill on the patio. During breaks, we trekked down the (steep!) path to the beach or rested on one of the several decks. The Gorman House gave us the perfect location for our retreat. Thank you!
