Appointed throughout with a minimalist mix of classic Modernist and traditional Spanish style furniture and a wide variety of local Puerto Rican art, the villa provides a casually elegant backdrop for the perfect Caribbean vacation. The villa's two terraces provide the opportunity to dine al fresco or luxuriate on the upstairs terrace and enjoy a bottle of wine while listening to the waves crash on the nearby beach.

Extensive cross-ventilation throughout the villa brings the outdoors in and allows guests to enjoy Puerto Rico's cool, gentle tropical breezes without stepping away from the villa. Once you arrive, you may even find it hard to leave and experience the endless beaches, pools, golf courses, tennis courts, casino and restaurants withinin the resort , or El Yunque Rainforest directly outside of the resort.

In the spirit of stripping down to the bare essentials of casual elegance, high speed internet is made available for those who need to stay connected and a Boese stereo system will suit all your music needs, but guests will also notice the conspicuous absence of televisions and air conditioning in the villa, distractions that get in the way of experiencing the natural beauty that surrounds the villa. We had an excellent stay. The property was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location within the resort grounds but a little bit distanced from the main resort activity was great, just an easy walk or golf cart ride away. Privacy and easy access to restaurants and the resort was perfect for my family. Would love to stay here again!

The unit did not have Air Conditioning, and made our stay very uncomfortable. and although it was listed, it was minimizing this important feature and was not prominent in the listing. Other units appear to have a/c, and as such the value for the price paid for this unit was dissapointing.

The Villa was beautiful. I didn’t do my research as I usually do because this Villa didn’t have air conditioner. It was a hot week so we were pretty miserable in the evenings and while trying to sleep. I think this is pretty important for people to know before making reservations.

Beautiful villa! Stayed with friends in the villa for a week. Very clean and had everything we needed. We were able cook several meals at the house and used the grill too which was nice to have. Golf cart was a great added benefit to get around the resort. Will definitely want to stay here again. Only thing worth adding is that there is no A/C in the unit. There are multiple ceiling fans and stand alone fans to use. We had all of the windows open and did just fine almost of the time because there usually is a breeze. Plus you get to hear the coqui at night with all the windows open which was super relaxing. Also there is no TV, but none of us are TV watchers so didn’t matter to us. Had an amazing time!

Excellent property and location. Kitchen fully equipped and very close drive- golf cart included- to beach. If visiting summer months be aware there is no A/C- although plenty of ceiling fans and portable fans provided. For our adult kids after a day in the sun they would have preferred a cooler room to sleep but it was not as hot as would’ve expected.

Beautiful villa, excellent location for getting to many attractions and sights. The Cluster 2 pool is bigger than expected. Tennis facilities are a bit expensive but worth it to play on clay courts. The property manager responded quickly to all questions.

We really enjoyed our stay. Lydia, the property manager was very helpful during our stay. The villa was very comfortable, clean, and it was a great place to call home for a week. It felt rustic, yet modern and we really enjoyed the other amenities within the resort. The beach was beautiful and we enjoyed visiting El Yunque which was just a short drive away. Highly recommend.

Historically the second home community of Puerto Rican families, Rio Mar has always been known across the island as an exclusive retreat for Puerto Rican professionals that resorts built later have tried to replicate. The architecture of the villas across the property conforms to the rolling shape of the hills, making each villa unique and the grounds feel organic. A native of Puerto Rico, Rodrigo spent his teenage years at Rio Mar, and dreamed of owning a property here while growing up. Living in New York City crystallized the need to have a retreat to relax and recharge. At Rio Mar, we've found the perfect villa to do just that.

What makes this property unique

We chose our particular villa after looking at approximately 15 different properties within Clusters 1 and 2, the first and most unique and authentic developments, within Rio Mar. Upon walking into this villa we knew it was precisely the one we wanted. It had great bones and gorgeous hand-crafted wood framing throughout giving it a warm and unique character that luxury developments built in recent years simply lack. It is spacious, has excellent views, light and airflow, and is one of the only villas within the entire community with 2 expansive terraces from which to enjoy the golf course, the extensive bird habitat and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach nearby. The villa has all of its original Spanish tile work and looks and feels like a special get away that would never be built today.
