This clean & cozy little home is just waiting for you to enter for a long weekend or extended stay. Located in a quiet neighborhood just up the road from Wonder Lake. Fully stocked home, Walk to convenience and general store. Firepit in temporary fenced back yard for your pet to wander. Please check "Traveling With Pet" if you are bringing your pet(s) as well as correct number of guests. Required by insurance so please comply.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Trash pick up is early Monday morning. Place used towels in the tub.

I enjoyed my stay at Wanda's cottage. The house was clean and comfortable. Wanda was quick to respond if I had questions and checked in during my stay to make sure everything was going well.

The location of the property was just down the street from the lake and beach in a neighborhood where you could walk and run with views of the lake. It was a great setting. The house was clean and well furnished. It was perfect for my wife and I along with our dog. We will certainly rent again when we come to town! Wonderful property.

I felt very comfortable in this Cottage. Just about everything you need is provided. She’s very thoughtful to leave baskets so in case you forgot something there’s always something there like personal items, to use. Would definitely stay at this place again. The backyard was set up with a nice seating arrangement and a fire pit and grilling was there if you wish to do it. The nighttime lighting was very nice with solar lights.

I loved my stay! The house was clean and well stocked. I loved the coffee options- pour over, French press, pods. The yard is super cute and big. A nice place to relax. The neighborhood was quiet and I felt safe. The beach area looked fun but I didn't have time to explore that on this trip. Next time! The owner was great with communication and responded quickly.

The outside areas around the cottage are adorable! Very inviting and cute vibe from the start. We walked in and each said “I love it!” SUPER clean. The little goodies just for us and all the little thoughtful touches were so sweet. Plenty of backyard grass for our two dogs. It was obvious the space was very pet-friendly. Wanda thought of everything, and our communication with her was perfect - caring and informative without being invasive. The neighborhood around the cottage is very quiet and we all felt extremely safe. We absolutely loved the nearby little town of Woodstock - strongly encourage a visit there! We all slept great - very comfortable beds and pillows. Plenty of blankets. I wish we could have stayed longer. Overall a wonderful experience in a very happy, cozy, cute, and comfortable environment. We have no complaints at all and definitely recommend a stay here!

Born & raised in upstate NY, lived in Montana & Utah for serval years. We also have a home in Florida that I spend a great deal of time at these quieting days. My husband, George & I settled here for great jobs. We raised 2 boys and fostered 2. I could live outdoors all the time on the beach or working in the yard. I have always enjoyed making others feel good and comfortable and go out of y way to do just that.

Why they chose this property

This quiet old neighborhood was more of a fishing, vacation cottage area for the Chicago area. We've lived here over 30 years and I just fell in love with this peaceful little home on a double lot not far from our eldest son's home.
