Roan Vista Cottage: Hiker's Paradise. Minutes From Roan Mountain State Park.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cottage. Located just minutes away from the best hikes in the area, including Appalachian Trail, Carver's Gap, and Rhododendron Gardens.
This cottage features three bedrooms plus a large loft that doubles up as the fourth bedroom. Comes with a fully stocked kitchen and game room for all your needs, as well as a charcoal grill that doubles up as a fire pit. Garage has a pool table and corn hole game, as well as a mini golf for a rainy day. Basketball and volleyball, as well as tennis rackets are also provided and can be used in the public park located 5 miles away.
The cottage is located near the entrance to the Roan Mountain State Park, Jarrett's Apple Orchard, and historic Miller Farmstead. Watauga Lake, NC border, ski resorts, golf, and Grandfather Mountain are also nearby. Rhododendron Gardens access is closed during winter for hiking but is open for cross country skiing.

The property was great for our large family! The location was perfect for us and game room was fun! I would suggest a bigger refrigerator, luckily we had a few coolers. The deck is awesome to enjoy the beautiful view!! It was nice and clean!!

Wonderful stay in the mountains

We loved staying at this house for a summer vacation in July. The location is was great as it is close to both Carvers Gap and Roan Mountain State Park. Hiking nearby is amazing with forests and wide open mountain views. The house had everything we needed and the covered porch area was great to sit outside and soak in the cool mountain air and listen to the birds. Communication and check in / out was smooth and prompt.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

This place is nestled right beside Roan Mountain State Park. It is very clean and spacious. All the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were beautiful. No tub, but the showers have a detachable wand for shaving or rinsing off. The air units in each bedroom and main area were easy to control and kept temperature well. The whole property is beautiful. Lots of little details inside and out that make this a fun stay. The kitchen is small but functional. It is well equipped for full meals. The upper porch was our favorite spot. It’s the perfect place to have your morning coffee. We will be back!
