The main level offers lots of windows and an open floor plan. It is perfect for gathering for meals and hearing the laughter. The fully stocked modern kitchen will impress. It includes upscale appliances and a large dining table. The open floor plan makes socializing and entertaining easy. After enjoying terrific meals with the family, retire to the comfortable sectional sofa in the living room with large, flat-screen TV.

The outdoor fire pit with 8 comfortable chairs is provided to enjoy the evenings and relax after a day filled with fun and laughter. A gas grill and picnic table provided for the many cookouts you are sure to host while you stay. Kids of all ages will enjoy the Resort with freedom to play and just be kids. Sandcastle Playground is at Turquoise Door’s backyard. Have peace of mind that kids can play in a safe area away from streets and cars. Enjoy the custom designed private putting green and bocce ball court with outdoor string lights during your stay.

The house was beautiful! Walking in the first day to a chilled bottle of wine and a Beach Hut giftcard was a very nice touch. The house had everything we needed and the owners were available and quick to respond. Great stay for our family, highly recommend!

Great property for a week at the beach. It hit just the right level of being nice and clean, while also not being so perfect that you stressed too much about the kids inevitably dragging some sand inside.The house is tucked away near the back of beachwalk, which made for a nice, quiet stay while also having the convenience of a golf cart, which the kids loved.

What a wonderful stay! Communication with Paul and Jill was very easy and booking was straightforward. The house itself was wonderful for my friends and I during our weekend away! We loved the resort - the pool, beach and nearby restaurants and wineries were great. Having a golf cart available was a huge plus too. We would definitely love to stay here again!

Family Stay at the Turquoise Door

Family of 10 (including six kids aged 8-16) and had plenty of room for all of us. The home is beautifully decorated, had all of the amenities we needed (and more), and extras that we really appreciated (like the putting green and bocce ball area outside). Great communication with the homeowners as well - very quick to respond and friendly!

We had a wonderful time on our family vacation! The spacious home met all our needs. We especially enjoyed the screened in back porch and easy access to the playground, as well as use of the golf cart. Our grandchildren had a great time at the pool and fishing lessons. Being so close to Lake Michigan was an added bonus- beautiful beach and sunsets! The hosts were so helpful in planning our stay. Communication was outstanding! Would give 10/10. We are thinking of making a return visit next year.

Perfect Family Vacation

If I could rate this more than 5 stars, I would. The entire resort offered so many amenities for our young family members including a movie night and craft morning. Jill and Paul were the perfect hosts, answering all of our questions before the trip. The house itself comes with everything you need to cook your own meals but there were also options around Michigan City. I’ve already had friends reach out for information on this listing based on our photos. The golf cart was necessary based on the location of the house but we loved the privacy being at the back of the resort. We look forward to coming back!

The owners thought of everything!

Everything you need is at the house! Just pack your bags and enjoy your vacation! The owners have thought of everything...anything you may need to cook a meal, toiletries, sunscreen, beach towels, firewood...the home is well stocked! The home was spotless and we really enjoyed the screened in porch, fire pit, and bocce ball. The resort area has lots to offer and beach access to Lake Michigan is at the end of the main resort road. Jill & Paul replied right away to any questions I had. There instructions for the house that are well laid out and easy to follow. We also really liked that the house was located on a one way road in the resort and there was extra room between the neighboring houses. We would stay here again!

We vacationed at numerous beach towns on the west coast of Michigan while raising our kids, including Grand Haven, South Haven and Beachwalk in Michigan City. We enjoyed them all, but really fell in love with Beachwalk with it's resort feel and all it has to offer adults and kids alike. There is something for everyone. We decided to build a home which is a perfect location for families - atop Cason Park where kids can roam and be heard from the back porch.

Why they chose this property

We love the beauty of Beachwalk, the candy-colored homes, the board walk along Lake Kai, the new Clubhouse amenities and expanded pool area, all the great events throughout the week like Music In The Park, Yoga, activity rentals (boats, kayaks, paddleboards), the energy in the community, proximity to Lake Michigan with west exposure (looks like the California coast), and close proximity to Chicago!

What makes this property unique

Turquoise Door is very special to us. We pride ourselves on providing an immaculate home with everything a renter needs to enjoy their stay. Included are resort wristbands and a golf cart to get family and gear to and from the beach (3-4 minute drive). Most unique about Turquoise Door is it's prime location a short distance away from the hustle and bustle on Beachwalk Lane, sitting atop heavily wooded Cason Park. Kids can walk 50 feet and still be heard from the back porch, and seen through the kitchen window. The outdoor area includes a picnic table, grill, firepit, 8 comfortable chairs, patio lighting and bocce court. A wonderful environment to share time with family.

We are sure you will love Beachwalk and Turquoise Door as much as we do:)
