This host is hands down the best we've experienced. The home had absolutely everything we could have needed or wanted. Provided our family with the perfect ski vacation.
The house was great for staying in and cooking at home! Very well stocked kitchen, which is so rare in rentals. The game rooms was fun, and the hottub was spacious and clean. Great views from the porches as well! Restaurants walking distance. Lovely place to stay.
Overall this was a very good place to stay. The dining and family room spaces were great gathering areas. The decks and large hot tub were a big plus. It is a bit noisy from the family below, mainly in the dining and family rooms. The only other opportunity was a convenient place to store skis or bikes. All-in-all, this was a positive experience.

We apologize for the noise. We wish we’d been told that our noise was bothering you when you were here. As stated in the property description, we live on the first floor of the home. Noise does travel up to the second story sometimes. We try hard to keep our children's noise down. We have put white noise machines in each bedroom to address this issue as well. If our noise does disturb you during your stay, please let us know immediately and we will address this issue.
Since your stay, we have installed a professional sound barrier (used by TV studios) to block as much noise as possible coming from downstairs.
Overall good property. Floors need a deep cleaning! Hard to make left turn out of neighborhood. You can hear the baby crying in the am. Workers came to install solar one early am without any notice from host.

If we had been told the floors were dirty, we would have immediately come up to clean them again. The floors are cleaned before every guest by our meticulous cleaner. I will make sure she sees this review so she knows about it and can adjust. We can’t control the traffic for turning left onto the moderately busy street. If you tell us immediately that you can hear the baby or any of our kids crying, we will address it and do our best to eliminate the noise from bothering you. We admit to forgetting about the solar panels finished being installed that morning and as a result not having forewarned the guest. However, we messaged immediately, apologized, and offered a partial refund for the inconvenience, which we were told by the guest wasn’t necessary. We messaged frequently with the guest from before booking and throughout the stay, so we were somewhat surprised by the negative feedback. Had they been mentioned we could have addressed them during the stay.
We had a great time for my daughters wedding. Place was clean and spacious I didn't realize that the owner and family lived on the lower level. Small children you could definitely hear them early in the morning. playing piano, dog barking, etc. But owners were very accommodating.

We make it very clear in the listing that we live on the ground floor of the home and that some noise sometimes can be heard above. Since Gail’s stay we have also installed a noise barrier to prevent a good amount of noise from traveling upstairs. If we are especially noisy, you can contact us and we will immediately do whatever we can to reduce the noise.

What makes this property unique
Our home has a very unique history. Our house used to be a two story chicken coop. In 1944, it was converted into a home. Unlike other homes in the area, it sits on the very back of a large lot, so there is no backyard, but a very large front yard. In 2018, we converted the house into an unconventional duplex. In 2022/23, we expanded the house out 22 feet to create more space for ourselves and our guests to enjoy.
We used to live on the ground floor, but we are renting out both the ground floor and 2nd floor for a short time. This rental is the entire 2nd floor, including 3 large decks. Guests have a completely private entrance and there are no shared spaces. The space includes original hardwood floors and is furnished with stylish, comfortable decor and furniture.
Our guests love how we pay attention to details, including a welcome plate with locally-made goodies, usb ports and white noise machines in every bedroom, a well-stocked kitchen with an assortment of teas and coffee, and shampoo, conditioner and body wash in both bathrooms.
We provide a private workspace in the master bedroom. We also furnish a dedicated washer and dryer in the hallway, with detergent and bleach as well as an iron and ironing board.
The dining area features a handmade large dining table that can seat up to 12 people easily, great for playing games or gathering the entire group for a meal.
The space includes a large gathering area with enough comfortable seating for the entire group to relax and enjoy a show together.
Guests of all ages enjoy playing the Pac-Man arcade with 14 different games as well as our Star Wars pinball machine.
Guests can BBQ and hangout on one deck, take a dip in the hot tub on another deck, and unwind peacefully on yet another deck.
There is enough parking for up to 4 cars in a private driveway on the property.
We provide additional blankets and pillows in the closets so everyone can be comfortable.
