Funky house in a great location

We had just a few nights in this quirky place but it worked out great for our family of eight. It was very convenient to travel to the local parks and forests.

Great place for the family!

Everyone had plenty of space to spread out (4 adults, 2 teenagers) which was really nice after a long day in the car and/or on the trails. Landscaping made the house feel private. Our giant Ford Expedition fit and could maneuver comfortably in the driveway. Host provided local recommendations which were really helpful, and was responsive for any questions. Check in / out was simple and house rules were minimal, basic and straightforward. House is central to both Arcata and Eureka which made finding food easy, and 30-45mins from the Redwoods National and State Parks which is why we went. Would stay here again if/when visiting the area in the future!

Spacious !

Family of 8 came and attended a graduation. The house was large, spacious ,allowed for privacy .I appreciated the ample seating . The bean bag chair was a big hit with the child. The kitchen has the basics so I’m glad that we brought some specialty cookware and knives. Out door was spacious and fully fenced so we felt comfortable letting the child play outside. Plenty of parking , quiet, safe ,peaceful area . No riff raff or homeless walking by. I go to Eureka/ Arcata every year and this was my favorite.

Touring Humboldt

We came to stay for the weekend and take a tour of Cal Poly Humboldt for our oldest daughter that graduates in May. The house was perfect! We arrived late and each picked our rooms, the teenagers stayed in tone wing and we stayed in the other with our youngest in the 4th bedroom closer to us. The house has the perfect amount of kitchen appliances and pans. The yard was perfect for the dogs to run around in and take care of their business. The art on the walls is what I really enjoyed, very nice paintings and art from around the world. Thank you for hosting my family!
