This waterfront vacation rental we call Sea Shell, sits right on the edge of the bank with a stunning view and private beach access. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a queen bed, one with a twin, and a full size sleeper sofa in the living room. This very comfortable mobile home has a spectacular view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the mountains of Vancouver Island. Nothing but ships, mountains and water out of the large picture window from the living room couch. Bedroom windows open to the water side, so you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves with a gentle cool breeze washing over you. Eagles fly close in and you can watch them fish and dine on the beach below from the large picture window in the living room. Sea lions, otters, whales, and innumerable birds are also common sights.
We're only a few miles from Sekiu, WA, famous for salmon fishing, and only 35 miles from Forks, home of Twilight.
We are also close to Cape Flattery, Shi Shi Beach and numerous points in the Olympic National Park. The beach below has dozens of tidepools and very interesting rock formations, plus driftwood, shells, rocks, and the occasional piece of seaglass. A wonderful place to relax your cares away.

Our second visit, and we hope to go back again. The property is perfectly situated to take advantage of the gorgeous natural surroundings. House is clean, comfortable, and has everything you need. We choose to spend our time there "unplugged" but wifi is provided. We love warming up with the fire while watching the ocean outside the window, and have spent hours beach combing and exploring the tide pools. Perfect retreat for our family to reconnect with each other and with nature. Owners make check in and check out simple, and are easy to reach if needed. We love it there!
This was the most relaxing place to spend a wintery day by the fire! From the living room sofa we were able to enjoy the view of snow over the Straight while eagles flew by. And when we went down to the beach, we spotted 3 otters who were as curious about us as we were about them. The home is very clean and comfortable; all we had to bring was some food. The perfect secluded getaway!
Great base for exploring this side of the Olympic Peninsula! Very clean and well-maintained. Check the tide calendar before your stay so you can explore the tide pools right on the beach!
This is our second stay at the Sea Shell. It proved a wonderful location to welcome in a New Year. As the wind howled outside, we stayed warm inside with the wood stove and were able to watch sea lions playing in the surf through the living room window. The beach is accessible via a steep, but well-maintained trail and series of stairs. We spent several hours wandering the sandy beach - listening to the surf and watching eagles overhead. Communication with JoAnn was a breeze and it was a pleasure to work with her. As other reviews report, the rental is clean, cozy and a great location for exploration of other area beaches. The Sea Shell truly feels a home-away-from-home and we look forward to returning! Thank you JoAnn and Randy!
We stayed here for Thanksgiving for the second year in a row and loved it. Great place to come and unplug for a little bit.
Easy enough to find with the directions provided in the email. Plenty of wood provided for the cool nights. The views of the ocean and Vancouver Island from the living room were priceless. The mobile home was very cozy and great for a small family. Would definitely stay there again.
