Bring your furry friends along to Dorie’s Cottage, a charming pine-paneled retreat tucked into the woods on the eastern shore of Crescent Lake. Enjoy gorgeous sunsets, a screened porch, a deck with a large grill, and a well-appointed kitchen. A canoe and kayak are available for exploring the lake, along with a 240V electric vehicle charging outlet. Gather around the Solo Stove for s’mores by the water in the evening!

The dock is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and keeping your boat anchored (up to 16 feet). Keep an eye out for loons, eagles, and kingfishers as you enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The wooded property offers plenty of shade, and nearby Loon Echo Land Trust trails lead to Pismire Bluff for stunning panoramic lake views. The path to the waterfront includes bark mulch and steps, with a rocky entry that gradually transitions to a sandy bottom. For the best swimming, head out from the dock and jump right in!

Dorie’s Cottage is the perfect spot for a relaxing Maine lake getaway filled with swimming, boating, hiking, and time with your favorite four-legged companions.

Summer Fun at Dorie's Cottage!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Another vacation week this summer at Dorie's Cottage with our family was perfectly wonderful in every way! We all love this camp so much; it has everything that we could every want and more, and one of the best things is that from summer to summer, from the minute we all walk into the camp it's the same as it was from the previous summer, and we all feel like we're home! Crescent Lake is so clean and beautiful, as are the pair of eagles that we had the joy of seeing each day! The early morning walks are delightful and so peaceful, so quiet, like a slice of heaven. Our weather was perfect all week! Perfect for for tubing, swimming, fishing, nightly boat rides and camp fires - it was truly delightful from start to finish! We're always kind of sad to see the week come to an end and we're all already looking forward to next summer at Dorie's Cottage!

Early Dorie's Cottage 2026

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Last weekend, I managed to Complete my 24th week at Dorie's Cottage which originally started in 2002 and only 2 years that I didn't show up, the first time the state of Maine didn't allow me in and last year when my wife broke her ankle earlier in the year and we had to stay home. Other than those I enjoyed each one of the weeks. If there was any problem that I faced, it was finding problems with the television, which I would have enjoyed if it worked. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the other weeks with all the fish, swimming, reading books at the bottom of the docks or having breakfast, lunch or dinner or the grill overlooking the back porch. And all of this does not including driving to the various lakes and kayaking in various places. My only problem was not being able to be able to one or two weeks later, if not Dorie's maybe some other cottage on the same side of the lake which faces the sinking sun.

It is absolutely perfect for our family; plenty of sleeping space for everyone, a very well stocked kitchen with everything you need for cooking,the screen porch is the best and that's where we ate all of our meals, just looking out at the water - perfect! We really appreciate that there is also a washer/dryer; this is so helpful as being at a camp with our family and two grandkids who are in and out of the water all day can generate quite a bit of laundry!Our grandson and a few of us had some ping pong matches too, which was very fun!From the camp, it's a quick little trip over to one of the sandbars and that's very fun for swimming and playing too!We love Dorie's Cottage so much and already can't wait to be back next summer!

CLFAY Rental June 10 to June 17

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is not my first time at CLFAY, I think it may be around closer to 15 times and each time has been great and each successive, the owners seem to have added touches that many other rental properties say on Cape Cod, never live up to improvements. You need batteries you got'em, soap for the washing machine is near the washing machine you got it, wine glasses for your wine got'em, coffee cups for the Keurig got'em, herbs for your food, and on and on. I must add that over the years, I have left corkscrews and other kitchen tools and I have a feeling that other people are doing the same.Keep it up!!!
