Cape May Home in Newest Hot Spot: Centrally Located, Family Friendly, Sleeps 12!
Your family will be close to everything with this centrally-located home in a part of Cape May that is becoming the new hot spot! 10 mins drive to Cape May beaches, 8 mins to bay beaches, 12 mins to WildWood. In the evening, enjoy Wildwood's lively nightlife and boardwalk, explore everything North Cape May has to offer, or go into Cape May proper for your adventures. Enjoy some of the hottest brand new restaurants 3 minutes from our home--with prices sky rocketing in Cape May proper, this part of Cape May is exploding. No need to go over the bridge on a busy night! Drive 3 minutes to the marina waterfront deck at Port, with mouth-watering food, open-air dining, and summer vibes. Watch the boats go by while you eat. Or dine inside for a quieter, elevated dining experience. We also love the new Mad Viking, another open-air place right on the marina...complete with a viking ship play structure for the kids to play on while you wait for your food! Nauti Distillary is right up the street next to a couple of vineyards, and we love our local ice cream spots! Tisha's sister restaurant is a short drive and you'd be remiss not to dine at Harpoon's on the Bay, catching a beautiful sunset while you eat on the open-air deck. This area has SO much to offer.
We're 1 minute from the marina, 5 mins from historic Washington Street Mall, and a short drive to Sunset Cove. Take a walk in our peaceful neighborhood or sit in the tranquil fenced-in back yard, relaxing in the glow of the party lights. Cycling enthusiast? Ride your bike from our home directly to the Cold Spring Trail--be sure to stop at the Cape May Zoo or historic Cold Spring village as you cycle along this pathway!
Have a rainy day? No problem-- hang out in the game room (darts, basketball, PS4 console, and more), watch some movies, or get quality family time playing board games on our spacious farmhouse-style dining table. Within minutes you can access some of the best breweries and vineyards, A+ restaurants, spas, whale and dolphin watching, water sports (parasailing, paddle boarding, surfing lessons, jet skiing, etc.), yoga on the beach, ghost tours, trolly tours, unique shopping, antiquing, the Wildwood boardwalk, and SO much more! And Cape May is a foodie's delight!
When you arrive, be sure to read through our personally crafted guidebook, which contains over 30 years of tips, information, and area-wide hidden gems!
Our property has three queen beds, one queen-sized futon, one pull-out queen bed, and one set of twin bunks, comfortably sleeping 12. This is a single family home, with 4 bedrooms, two living rooms, two full bathrooms, one outdoor shower, a dining area, a full kitchen, a laundry room, a garage, a fenced-in backyard, and a self-contained game room, which doubles as the 5th bedroom. All TVs are streaming. There is a brand new griddle/grill out back and an OUTDOOR SHOWER to rinse the sand off after those long beach days. We have a sun/lounge area and picnic table outback, which converts to a lovely lounge in the evening once the party lights click on at dusk. Two cars can park in the driveway and street parking is also available.
Please note that linens are not provided for this home (which is typical in the Cape May rental market due to extremely tight and frequent turnovers). If you are unable to pack your own bedsheets and towels, there are local companies who rent them out for any length of time. We provide pillows, comforters, paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, and dish soap.
There are really SO many little gems in this area that we could never list them all here in this description. We're here to answer any questions you may have and we look forward to sharing our little slice of heaven with you!

We had an amazing time during our stay! Excellent property- clean, spacious, cozy and just 10 minutes from the beach and restaurants. It was our second time staying here, can’t wait to come back!

Thank you for this great review, Courtney, and for choosing our home a second time! We welcome you and your guests back any time!
Our family came down to Cape May for a few days for a little getaway and we really enjoyed the property and how close it was to everything just a quick drive away!

We were glad to have Christine and her family, but I would love to know why we've gotten 4 stars and not 5. I accommodated an early check in AND a late check out for her party and she made zero complaints about the property, even stating how much they enjoyed everything. It would've been helpful to know why that 5th star was left off!
The house was perfect for our party of 11. Plenty of room for all of us and the black stone outside was great for big breakfasts. Nice neighborhood for the kids to ride bike as well when we weren’t at the beach. Would definitely stay again.
Clean, spacious and has everything you need for a family stay. My only knock is that the bunk bed room is on the first floor next to the kitchen & living area. Wasn't a problem for us though as our toddler is a heavy sleeper. Other than that, the place was perfect, would definitely stay again.
Had a wedding in Cape May. Stayed at the home with my wife and myself, two grown sons and their wives.
The home was perfect. Very Clean with all the necessities. Owner was great to deal with and the neighborhood is very nice.
Great place to stay.
Was the most amazing home ever. Game room for my nephew very cozy rooms amazing home. Have nothing but great memories for this jeep week 2024. Thank u for allowing my family and i to stay in ur home it was amazing.

The house was great. It accommodates 6 adults who chatted and crafted around the table. It was spacious enough for everyone to feel comfortable. Great experience!!!

We enjoyed the location of this home! It was perfectly located away from the bustle of Cape May, but still an easy/quick drive to the beach! It was also great that the home included some seasonal beach tags, beach chairs, carts, etc.!! So handy!
Additionally, it was easy to get to Wildwood as well! We would stay here again!
Super clean!

Overall was a great trip everything in description was exactly as described. Weather was a bit chilly but we were able to play some games that were provided. Would recommend it is just outside the busy Cape May area and an easy drive there.

I was highly impressed and satisfied with my stay here. The kids were able to play in the game room and enjoy some video games. We were able to have a cook out while the kids relaxed. The home was clean and comfortable. The area felt safe and was nice and quiet. We were even able to enjoy some bicycle rides with the bikes provided. Thank you for a great experience!

Thank you, Denise! We’re so glad you enjoyed your time. We’d love to have you back any time!
Everything was good. Only issue was that rental does not include bed linens and towels. That has not been my experience in any other VRBO rental. Other than that relatively minor inconvenience, it was perfect!

It is very clearly explained in the listing and also in the initial email that linens are not included with the rental! This is commonplace in Cape May--98% of private rentals in this town do not include linens. We include this information in the listing and in the initial email so that people can plan accordingly and so that people can choose to stay elsewhere if bringing linens is a problem. I'm disappointed to lose a star solely based on something that's clearly outlined twice with our property listing! Otherwise, I'm glad David says everything else about his stay was satisfactory.
This renter caused damage to the property, subscribed to a service on my streaming account without my authorization, and a few items were missing after her stay. I had to file a claim, which was paid in full because I had photos documenting the damage and theft.
She obviously gave me this one-star review in retaliation for the one-star review I left her (which is what a person deserves if there is damage and theft during a stay).
Please take caution when considering this renter. I encourage you to check my other reviews so you know that we are an honest, clean, respectable family with a great home available for your stay in Cape May!
Pro's-location size -comfortable mattresses -priceCon's Not small kid friendly: Bdrm shades are light filtering, hallowed bdrm doors; noise carriesHost was rude and dismissive of concerns from the start and bragged of her good reviews; we had young children in the home and an electrical outlet with exposed wires was hanging out of living room wall. Upon arrival, hair, dirt and crumbs found in various places such as furniture. Food grime on table that easily came off when we wiped with a sponge. Visible grime on cabinets, and bathroom sink drain. Door handle hanging off game room door.VRBO listing photos and description don’t match the condition of the house. House doesn’t have a finished look; beat up baseboards, flooring separating and peeling on steps, gaps where the floor meets walls, overgrown weeds in front/backyard. Game room - spider webs, dry rotted lamp shade fell off when we tried to turn the switch. Burned out light in laundry areaHost stopped communicating when she decided the above issues were resolved. She only addressed the missing mattress covers on two beds and PM offered to clean which we already did. Host sent PM to home and PM said our expectations were too high and “this is what you get in the busy season", and “14 girl stayed here before you did” and acknowledged that the comforters don't get washed in between stays when questioned. Photos of the above issues were sent to host as requested and host didn’t acknowledge themNoBathroom trash bags

This point person was a nightmare from the get-go. It is a shame she spent every day of her "vacation" trying to get a refund instead of enjoying her time. The ONLY complaint to me was the cleanliness of the home, which is ludicrous. We have a VERY high rating for cleanliness and are proud of that. Regardless, we offered a FULL CLEANING, which this person declined. If I was in a home that was "dirty", I would accept the offer for a cleaning, wouldn't you?! Our property is thoroughly examined after every stay and this person was a guest who deliberately created problems and then took photos of them and claimed they were already there, in an attempt to get her money back from us. The outlet, the doorknob...None of these things were broken before this stay. This family also broke a $150 play kitchen and didn't alert us (they tried to make it look like it wasn't broken). We had several things missing from our property upon her check out as well--a $30 coffee table book, an extension chord, MANY toys. Instead of filing a claim for these stolen and broken items, I let them go because this party had already been such a problem for us. If you're a homeowner, USE CAUTION when deciding to rent to this person. If you're a potential renter with us, I urge you to read all reviews and see that the ONLY negative reviews we have are from people who have caused damage to our home and then got mad about our damage claims or have tried to get money back on bogus claims and then got mad about it. I know common sense will prevail here, as it always does. I truly hope this person will be able to relax a little and enjoy things in life!

We are locals to the tri-state area and have been frequenting Cape May for over 40 years. We LOVE this sweet little town and know it inside and out, forwards and backwards. My husband came to Cape May every summer as a child, we started visiting together as soon as we began dating, and now we spend as much time here as we can with our four boys. Cape May has always been a place of respite for us and we are thrilled to now share this beautiful vacation home with you so you can also experience our little slice of heaven!
Why they chose this property
Since COVID, Cape May has become quite the hot spot. Real Estate has exploded. As people who know the market and the town like the backs of our hands, we saw this neighborhood and this area as a perfect up-and-coming gem and boy were we right!! Our little corner right near the marina has absolutely exploded in the last few years. We don't even have to go over the bridge for hot-spot dining, sweets, etc. Although we do still go over the bridge quite a bit! That's the beauty of our location--we are centrally located to downtown Cape May, West Cape May, North Cape May, and Wildwood!
What makes this property unique
We have a larger, split level on a corner property. Our backyard is fenced in and makes a lovely little place for relaxation, sunbathing, grilling, or just hanging out. We can bike right to the cycling trail without getting in a vehicle. And we are centrally located to downtown Cape May, North Cape May, West Cape May, and Wildwood!
