Other condos say this, but this really is as close as you can get to the beach in a 3 bedroom condo at Cayman Reef Resort. This fully equipped, updated and tropically decorated 3 bedroom, 2 bath duplex unit has gorgeous views of the Caribbean Sea and 7 Mile Beach from most rooms of the condo and the balcony. It comfortably sleeps 6 in the upstairs bedrooms with 1 bedroom with king bed, 1 bedroom with queen bed, and 1 bedroom with 2 twins.
Enjoy eating in the dining room overlooking the beach and sea, or on the patio with electric grill, table and chairs. Or eat out at one of the many close-by gourmet or casual restaurants.
Cayman Reef Resort is perfectly located on 7 Mile Beach, walking distance to many restaurants/bars, Camana Bay, grocery stores, entertainment, and Georgetown. And #40 is perfectly located within Cayman Reef Resort, directly on the beach.
Cayman Reef Resort has beautiful gardens, large swimming pool, tennis/pickleball court, and reserved parking for each unit.

Please note that like other properties on the southern end of 7 Mile Beach, there may be seasonal sand shifting and beach erosion due to tropical storms and hurricanes. While most of the year there is a beach, there are times when water comes directly to the sea wall and loungers are then arranged on the grass so guests can continue to enjoy the sun, stunning ocean views, and access to the sea for swimming, snorkeling and other activities. Great location.

The location of this condo is very convenient to everything you might need. Food, groceries, airport. We are sad that a storm took out the beach area in front of the property but still a great place to stay. The condo could afford a little updating but other than that we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful vacation in paradise

Had a little unexpected AC issue when we arrived and it was fixed in lightning speed. This condo is located by all our favorites, Camana Bay, Coconut Joes, Peppers and Cimboco! We enjoyed the spa at the Marriott which was walking distance. Our teenagers walked the beach and over to another favorite, Chicken Chicken. Very safe island! Beds were very comfortable. They had snorkeling gear and we made use of that. Our teens loved the pool and my husband and I spent countless hours in the ocean and on the beach. Our condo was beachfront and gorgeous views! One thing we loved was how quiet our area was minus the rooster and we miss hearing him! We would recommend this condo to couples and families! We only took pictures of outdoor areas apparently but the place was very clean and cozy!

Cayman perfection

We travel to cayman at least once a year, and this was our favorite trip. The condo was lovely. Not super lux, but plenty of space and PERFECTLY located. The beach was gorgeous, terrific snorkeling right there, the teens loved being able to walk over to camana bay and rent scooters to get around the island. Great restaurants in walking distance, the Marriott is about a 5 minute walk so we could walk over and rent jet skis or paddle boards from Red Sail sports. We all loved relaxing by the ocean or the lovely pool. We will definitely stay here again.

Paradise on the beach

The location of this apartment really couldn’t be better - it’s as close to the beach as it’s possible to get. It’s within a small development of about 60 or so apartments. The development is nicely laid out with well maintained gardens and loads of sun loungers and umbrellas. The apartment itself is very well presented and extremely comfortable. The kitchen seemed well equipped although we mainly ate out - there are plenty of good quality restaurants within easy walking distance. We spent a lot of our time sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach, listening to the waves. We swam and snorkelled in the sea off the beach. Really can’t fault either the property or the location, we had a fabulous vacation here.

Spacious and great location

We experienced a hiccup with regards to the cleaning team upon arrival however Susan was very reponsive and resolved the issue immediately. The condo is large and very convenient to everything. We wished the beachfront was larger however my understanding is that this is normal on the island due to temporary storm erosion. Still plenty of adjacent bch for the kids to enjoy toenjoyenjoy.naturcacontrolled

Amazing - better than our hotel resort!

I could not have been happier with the property and Susan’s team of help! We were checked on within minutes by f arrival and also midway though the visit. My wife and I were booked with a conference at a hotel resort nearby and I got this for our Daughter and her kids along with us staying a couple nights. My wife and I truly enjoyed the time there more than at our hotel. The beach was great and we could walk most days down to the Ritz for a snack if we wanted to. Plenty of toys for our grands. I have stayed at the Caribbean Club the Beachcomber and this unit 40 was on par for so much less. It made going out to our favorite restaurants a little easier on the total cost of the trip. Thank you Susan, Sandi, Charlene and Karen for an amazing week.

Wonderful stay with an excellent location. Close to all the main attractions by short taxi ride and also a very walkable safe area. Beach view doesn’t get better. Condo could use some updating for the price but it’s a great location

Cayman Trip

Our stay at Susan’s property was wonderful. It was a clean, spacious condo with everything we needed for our stay. It comfortably slept 6 adults and two 8 month olds. It had plenty of linens, kitchen amenities, beach toys and toys for the babies. The location is perfect. It was right on the ocean. There is a Wendy’s, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Subway, liquor store, chicken chicken plus more right across the street within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

Overrated

The pictures need to be updated. There is no beach here. Manager informed us of this the day before we arrived and gave us some money back. However, we were not informed that there would be painters on the porch and patio during the week we were there. Also, dishes, glasses, towels and linens need updated. New mattresses and updated information in the book would be good. Could be an awesome place even without the beach. We were told that the beach issue is not new but has been like this for a while now.

Nice condo, not much Beach

I am aware that most people The condo was nice. A few things to be aware of. One bathroom is downstairs separate from the three bedrooms upstairs. Balcony is upstairs off of two of the bedrooms. The property was well maintained. The beach photo is a little misleading, it's behind the condo next door. Beach behind Cayman Reef is not very wide due to a seawall protruding out. First few steps into the water are rocky. Can't really walk the beach to the south, to walk north requires maneuvering through the surf past a seawall. We were there the end of June, pool was almost unusable due to the water temperature from direct sun exposure all day. Location is very convenient to most everything, short drive to the airport, Georgetown, grocery stores. Walking distance to many restaurants.

Simply the best

Great location, beautiful view right on the beach. Clean, plenty of towels and other necessities. Balcony off the bedrooms. Close to many restaurants and grocery stores. I really loved this place. The beach is beautiful but rocky, but worth it.

Great location with nice beach

Property has a great location. It has a beach unlike some other properties on seven-mile beach. The condo was clean and slept 6 people comfortably. It is within walking distance to several restaurants. It was not crowded. We never had an issue securing a spot on the beach or at the pool. The ocean at the condo is free of coral making swimming and snorkeling very easy. The unit has a nice ocean view. It was a perfect fit for our family vacation. Communication with the owner was great. Well worth the stay at this location.

Comfortable Home, Perfect Location

We had a wonderful stay in this unit! Great amount of space for 3-4 adults and two small children. It was helpful to have so many amenities for kids, like bed rails, pack n play, high chair, and toys. The condo is well stocked and generally clean. Susan responded very quickly and thoroughly to questions I had beforehand and to a few minor things that came up during our stay. Best of all, the location can't be beat! It's just down a staircase and you're on beautiful Severn Mile Beach. The beach is a little short right in front of the resort, but it worked in our favor with little kids since we didn't have to trek to the water or up through the sand to get back to our chairs or the condo. There is a closet full of floaties and beach toys that are up for grabs behind the outdoor shower/foot rinse. Overall, a great vacation!

A Great Stay

We had a great, 10-night stay at Cayman Reef Resort #40. Location is convenient to many restaurants and a nice walk to Fosters in Camana Bay. #40 is very well stocked with towels, sand toys and even car seats. The resort also has a closet near the beach with even more toys, floaties, snorkel gear, etc. We spent a lot of time between the pool and beach with our 5 year old. We had a rental car and parking was convenient with a spot assigned to #40. It is a spacious place to stay with the lower level and bedrooms upstairs. This was our third trip to Grand Cayman and I know we will be back.

Best Location on the Beach

We have stayed at Cayman Reef many times. Great location. Easy to walk to lots of good restaurants, etc. Unit was immaculate. Susan was great at communication from the start. The onsite folks were really responsive and helpful after I messed up the settings on the TV. Plus when the AC went on the blink they had technician there within an hour and got fixed pronto. Great place and we will be back.

Perfectly family beach front stay

The condo is perfect for a family with kids. We had 3 adults and 3 kids and really enjoyed our stay. You have a beautiful oceanfront view in a central location. The condo had amenties perfect for kids (lots of sand toys, snorkeling gear, rafts, floaties, pack n play, and car seats). Last time we visited grand cayman our condo water was safe to drink but did not taste very good. This time the water from the fridge is filtered and tasted great! The staff is very friendly and the beach chairs rarely were all filled up. The water was clear and great for snorkeling. We found many beautiful shells and rocks and sea glass snorkeling in front of the condo. Definitely would recommend and definitely would visit again!

Extremely happy with our choice of this property. Everyone in our party was impressed as soon as we opened the door. The view of the water was beautiful. There was plenty of room for all five adults in our party and we enjoyed using the beach loungers and umbrellas. The location was great. You are within two blocks of Coconut Joes, Andy's car rentals, Foster's supermarket and the entrance of Camana Bay with it's great dining options (we feasted on all you can eat lobster tails). The beach in front of the resort extends for miles (walked it fully twice) and even though it feels a little skinny in front of the resort that just makes it quicker to actually get in the water. We were all in relax mode and felt like Cayman Reef was the perfect place for our first trip to the Cayman Islands.

Perfect location on the beach

We loved the location. The beach is perfect with no seaweed and calm crystal clear waters. We were not able to stay in unit 40 because it was having repairs but Susan was nice enough to let us stay in her other unit. There are many restaurants within walking distance. There is a pool too. It was so easy to get chairs and umbrellas on the beach.

Terrible beach

The beach was very short (less than 10 feet at most times) and the water was filled with rocks, including a large cinder block. You literally couldn’t walk into the water without hurting your feet

My husband and I first traveled to Grand Cayman in 1973 and fell in love with the Caymanian people and 7 Mile Beach. We have returned 2-3 times every year since then. Our family has grown up there and now bring their children. We were the first family to move into Cayman Reef Resort in 1981 and bought our second unit in 2001 to accommodate our growing family.
As you can imagine, we have seen many changes to a once sleepy Island. We love to discuss Grand Cayman and Cayman Reef Resort so please feel free to ask questions.
