Beautiful cabin. very comfortable. The only things that we had to provide, were us and our food. Could not have ask for a nicer place. Communication was great.
This cabin was very comfy and nice, super clean. The host was very hospitable and very friendly. This is an excellent place to stay and we hope to again .
We spent the Thanksgiving weekend at this cabin. It is a wonderful place to get away from things. It's a bit out in the woods and the road can be scary at night (not the owner's fault just an FYI) but it is the definition of peaceful. We were able to fully relax. I had one opportunity to reach out to the owner and my request was answer very promptly and graciously. I would not hesitate to rent from Hugh again.
House was great for staying with friends. We had privacy, with 2 bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom and ours downstairs with a bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed. We don’t cook much on vacation. We occasionally grill out, a gas grill made that super easy. We had tasty burgers and dogs one night. The road is a bit noisy but quiets down by 10ish. If you have kids you can ignore the noise. LolWe had a fun, relaxing time. Close enough to restaurants and activities but far enough for peace. Would rent again. Owner very responsive, he and his wife are very nice people.
Great property and great view. We came during a drought and were unable to enjoy the lake, but we had plenty of fun in the hot tub and house. The host was very easy to reach and quick to respond if we had questions.
The house and property were great. Unfortunately, the lake was far to low for us to use the dock even in mid June. But that's no fault of the owner, has just be a very dry year and tva has kept the lake levels low. Definitely worth double checking lake levels if you plan to use the dock for swimming or parking a boat.
We have been hosting with vrbo for over 22 years. We have several properties and work hard to keep them up to date with all the necessary items for a great trip.
Why they chose this property
Our residence is in the same neighborhood as this property and love the secluded cove that feeds the house.
What makes this property unique
We love the gentle slope to the lake that this house has as most of Lake Douglas houses have many steps down to the lake access.
