When considering a visit to the Outer Banks or Historic Roanoke Island why not stay in a private 'One of a kind' cottage in the heart of Old Town Manteo. Magnolia Cottage is an stunning 3 bedroom, 2 bath vacation rental with magnificent chandeliers, a beautiful mantle over the lovely fireplace, gorgeous comfortable furnishings and a complete list of modern conveniences. Magnolia Cottage has been featured in Coastal Living, Virginia Pilot and Coastland Times.

You will enter your 'cottage away from home' through the white picket fences surrounding the property. Walk up onto the covered wrap around front porch, and there you will find wicker porch furniture for relaxing and getting the feel of Old Town Manteo. For more relaxation, you will find an outside patio under a rose covered pergola for grilling and dining. All of these magnificent porches and patios overlook exquisite Elizabethan style gardens with roses, boxwood hedges, and lovely concrete planters and benches positioned throughout.

Upon entering the sunny vestibule, you will find the comfy living room featuring an entertainment center with cable TV and DVD. Overstuffed sofas surround the space for your comfort and enjoyment in front of the gas fireplace.

The bright kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, hard surface counters, and complete supplies including Havilland china. You will be completely at home with the all of the utensils needed for a large meal or just a quick breakfast before your day of exploring the Island. The lovely dining room welcomes your family for meals or a fun round of board games (included).

There are three large bedrooms featuring comfortable beds to accomodate up 6 guests including high end linens and comfy pillows. Each bedroom looks onto the beautiful cottage gardens of Magnolia Cottage. The master suite with full bath is located on the first floor of the Cottage. The lovely master features a romantic king size bed. There are two quaint bedrooms on the second floor with a charming full bath situated between the bedrooms. The first upstairs room is furnished with a beautiful old fashioned queen size bed. The second adorable bedroom with dormer windows features a cozy queen bed over looking the gardens

Lovely Cottage! A True Gem!

We would definitely stay here again! Hubby and collage age son and daughter and our two retrievers thoroughly enjoyed Magnolia Cottage! The beautiful porch and backyard are prettier than the pictures! It was a fabulous week! Manteo and the people who live here are wonderful! I’m so very glad we did not stay over in Nags Head! It’s a very short, easy drive to the beach! A 5 star experience for sure! In 20 years for renting from VRBO we had not stayed at a cleaner home! When the sun shines Magnolia Cottage shines right along with it! Even when the sun doesn't shine, its lovely! Thanks so much!

Awesome Rental

Our weekend in Magnolia Cottage was everything we could have hoped for. The property is just lovely and had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. We were so comfortable there and it was especially nice for my daughter to be able to bring her dogs! We were in Manteo to cheer our daughter on as she was running the Outer Banks Half Marathon. My family thought I was so brilliant for renting in Old Town Manteo so we didn't have to fight traffic, crowds, and parking issues to meet her at the finish line. I took full credit for that and didn't tell them that I fell in love with the pictures of the cottage and nothing else I looked at even compared! The close proximity to the finish line was the icing on the cake. Sharon was excellent to work with from the beginning of the process to the end. It is evident that she is very aware of the hospitality aspect of renting her property and her attention to detail is impressive. We hope to be back!

Lovely cottage but beware of the owner trying to collect more money!!

The cottage was beautiful and well-maintained. However, beware the owner. We booked the cottage for our daughter's wedding. Everything was perfect until Sunday morning when we had a few people over for an outdoor brunch. The owner demanded a credit card number for having more than 6 people at the home. When we refused, she went to the police department across the street. Since we had a valid contract, they refused to become involved. She actually got up in my face screaming at me, the mother of the bride. My adult daughter talked her down. She became very aggressive very quickly. As an attorney, I knew the contract did not preclude the brunch, so I stood firm. However, her ranting affected the brunch as guests arrived and nothing was in place due to the time the owner wasted trying to collect more money from us.

Great Place to Stay in Manteo

We enjoyed staying at the Magnolia Cottage in Manteo. The cottage decor is adorable and the furniture and beds are very comfortable. It is in a great location in Manteo and is an easy walk to downtown for shopping and eating out. I definitely recommend staying here.

Relaxing

The cottage was perfect for our stay. Great location, amenities . Beds were comfortable. Sharon was very easy to contact and answered all our questions promptly. This was our first trip to the outerbanks, looking forward to many more~!

Cottage in charming walkable village

A relaxing, cottage and garden. Kitchen was well stocked, furniture very comfortable, but beds a bit soft for our tastes.

As you see it!

This was a beautifully decorated home in lovely Manteo NC. The weather was a little cool yet we still enjoyed the porch and gardens for lazy morning coffee and breakfast before we ventured out and about. The rose gardens made us feel like we were in Europe! The ability to walk or ride bikes anywhere we wanted to go was perfect! We were so impressed with this rental and working with Sharon and on that note as soon as we got home we ordered the same exact coffee maker and all new bedding!!! Perfect for our little dog Ralphie too! Highly recommend!

Wonderful!!!

My family wanted a quick getaway for Spring break (late March/early April) and are so happy we stayed at Magnolia Cottage. This was an adorable property in a very cute little town. The cottage was very clean, communication and check in was super easy, and I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Perfect Winter Escape

I highly recommend Magnolia Cottage. I spent 6 weeks there and Sharon has done a wonderful job of making the place so welcoming and cozy. Perfectly located steps from the waterfront, shops, winery, and Festival Park. Manteo is the perfect place to escape to for some rest and relaxation. The town and the cottage was exactly what I was looking for and I can’t wait until my next trip.

Fantastic Cottage

We had a wonderful time! One of my children said the cottage reminder her of the Beauty and the Beast story. All of the children were enchanted with details of the cottage. The kitchen had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving meal. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure in the bathroom was wonderful! Being close to the waterfront was lovely and we took lots of walks to the various restaurants, parks, lighthouse, etc. Getting to Jockey's Ridge, public beach accesses, and other attractions was easy. We had a lovely time and when we head back to the OBX we will defiantly stay at the cottage again!

Birthday celebration for my husband...1st time leaving our bubble since COVID...Best Decision!!

The location was great as we were able to walk to the Manteo Waterfront on such a beautiful weekend. The accommodations were perfect. Lots of room, clean, and kitchen was stocked as we cooked at The Cottage for most of our meals. I would definitely recommend when visiting Manteo.

Like a fairytale!

The house was cute and cozy with plenty of space for our family to come over to visit. We loved being within walking distance to the waterfront. The gardens are beautiful and the area was quiet. Everything was perfect!

Delightful and charming.

The Magnolia is situated on a quiet street right in the heart of the Manteo Historical District. The cottage is absolutely charming and beautifully appointed. It is the prefect upscale, private residence for a vacation to the NC Outerbanks.

Lovely Cottage

Stayed at magnolia cottage with another couple. The cottage was decorated beautifully. Enjoyed festival park, just a quick walk away. Although not a lot going on, since most activities are during the summer months. Took a bike ride around the area.... just a peaceful relaxing trip. Would definitely come back! Just as pictured

We very much enjoyed our state at this property. Owner is very fast in her responses and accommodating. It was very close to the small town of Manteo and very easy walk to restaurants, shopping, and peer.
