This beautiful light-filled end unit is centrally located in the premier gated community of Barrier Dunes on Cape San Blas with palm trees, stocked fishing ponds, tennis courts/racquetball, playground, clubhouse, and beach, boardwalks, and 2 outdoor pools. One pool, adjacent to the beach with its sugary white sand fronting the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico is a 2 minute walk away. The other solar heated pool is even closer. Our unit has faux wood plank flooring throughout the main level: living/dining room, with sleeper sofa and love seat, 55 inch Smart TV with built in Roku. The dining table (which seats 4 or expands to 6), plus 2 bar stools, to the well stocked kitchen which has a new electric range and microwave. A full bathroom and bedroom with a queen size bed are on the main level. The upstairs carpeted master bedroom large suite has a king size bed, vaulted ceiling, private balcony, walk-in closet a double vanity & separate bath room with stand alone shower, soaking tub & toilet. The first floor deck has new Poly Wood patio table & chairs; and new gas grill are provided on the deck. Outdoor shower is in the carport area. Opportunities are near at hand: fishing, shelling, swimming, biking on 3 miles of paved bike paths, and enjoying 8 miles of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The night sky is perfect for stargazing. Barrier Dunes is adjacent to St. Joe Peninsula State Park. Come and share this piece of paradise. We are pet friendly.

Such a wonderful place to stay. The condo was immaculate (kudos to the housekeeper). The entire place was well-stocked - everything you’d need to cook meals including spices and oils. Lots of towels, blankets, pillows, etc. We’ve never stayed in a place that offered so much. Chris, the host, was very easy to work with. We were able to ride bikes to the State Park and down the main road (30E) to other locations. Our dog had plenty of room in the house and outside offered lots of green space and areas to walk. Since the beach was truly only 2 minutes away our morning walks were always on the gorgeous beach. Every night offered a beautiful sunset.

I am a retired art teacher from the Chicago area, now moved to LA to be near our new grandchildren. Our family loves the beach at Cape San Blas. Our place is beautifully decorated, and well appointed. We are located 30 seconds to the solar pool and tennis courts, and less than a 2 minute walk over the boardwalks to the beach, clubhouse and pool. We love to bike and hike in the St. Joe Peninsula State Park. We love to eat the great seafood in the nearby restaurants, and listen to live music in the local eateries/pubs. Apalachicola, the second oldest city in FL., is a half hour away.

Why they chose this property

We purchased our townhome in 2004 from an NFL football player. We love the uncrowded, sugary white sand beaches of the Florida panhandle. We enjoy the great fishing eating, shelling, biking,and relaxing at the gated community of Barrier Dunes.

What makes this property unique

We love the small town of Port St. Joe. We shuck our own oysters that we purchase by the pound. We enjoy the most beautiful sunsets over the water. We also enjoy the shopping and great restaurants in historic Appalaciocola, the 2nd oldest city in Florida, only 30 minutes away. Also, we never miss a dinner at the Indian Pass Raw Bar during our visits. We take part in the several local activities whenever we can.
