This is a beautiful 3 bedroom house with views of Blackfish Creek and a private path to the water. There are decks on almost all sides of the house and pretty landscaping. The interior features a multi level layout. The living room, which has a fireplace, is open and spacious with entry onto a deck and has views of the water from multiple large windows. The three bedrooms feature a Queen bed in one, a Double in another and a Double and a Twin in the last. The Master bedroom also has an adjoining study with a small deck and beautiful views of the water. The kitchen is nicely equipped and has a dishwasher. The dining area looks out over the bay and has a door leading out to a brick patio with an outside table and chairs. There is also a three-season porch a few steps down from the kitchen. Other amenities are Wifi and cable as well as a gas barbecue grill and an outdoor shower. This house is located in a peaceful and private Wellfleet neighborhood just around the corner from a picturesque waterfront landing great for boating or walking. Fox Island Marsh Conservation Area is nearby providing walking trails and spectacular water vistas.

Why they chose this property

The house was built in the 70's and designed by a well-known Cape architect. The house is very light-filled and expansive in it's lay out (e.g . multi-leveled with two sets of stairs, one to a guest bedroom and one to the master bedroom), so that you can enjoy a sense of privacy even when the house is full. It has lovely views of the bay, which is just down the hill from the house (seconds down a path we share with our neighbors). We have a two-person kayak which we keep on the beach which guests are welcome to use (the bay beach we're on has one of Wellfleet's boat landings so at high tide you can launch the boat right there).
The house is located on the bayside in South Wellfleet, half-way between Wellfleet Center and the Wellfleet Audubon Society. It is less than a ten-minute drive to Lecount Beach and a short bike ride to the Cape Cod Rail Trail -- a 35-km bike trail runnng from Wellfleet to Dennis.
