This piece of property was located perfectly. Short walk to the major park for the city. Convenientl to local establishments. Lots of room for everybody to spread out.

Beautiful Home

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 5 friends and I just stayed 3 nights in this house and it was exactly as described and matched the pictures. I absolutely loved the house! We were only a 20 minute walk from downtown so we walked everywhere. Backyard is shared with a neighbor and there are no curtains on the back window or door FYI so they can see in the kitchen. Delicious little Cuban restaurant next door. Overall I would recommend and would stay here again.

Nice house, tiny bathroom

Overall the pictures and description were accurate. Regarding on street parking, make sure you pay attention to the street cleaning days to avoid a ticket. The house was clean and has some nice decorations. If you need anything in the kitchen that's not a utensil, bring it with you (coffee, tea, sugar, etc.). Regarding safety, there's no interior lock to maintain privacy. If someone has the code to the front door, they can come in. Which brings me to my biggest complaint. Our checkout time was 11, however while we were getting ready at 10, my daughter and I heard a noise from downstairs - rustling plastic bags and the front door opening. I can't when the stairs and saw large plastic bags of fresh linens and towels by the front door. I ran to the front door and saw a SUV pulling away with some sort of sign on the door. I'm guessing this was the cleaning company that decided to stop by early? This was very scary and we were not notified that this would be happening. I know it was the last hour of the stay, however I think they could have waited until we vacated the location to start cleaning as this was major invasion of privacy.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We needed a large place to accomodate 7 people and this property was perfect. The house was comfortable and as discribed. We were concerned about street parking but was not an issue at all. There is a little Cuban restaurant on the corner that makes awesome sandwiches! Location was perfect and we would come back to this property.

Girl's weekend in Savannah

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was older with lot's of personality! The location was a little suspect and the neighborhood was noisy. The good news is that it was about a mile walk from River Street, very close to Forsyth Park. There was a delightful little pizza place within a couple of blocks where we were able to watch the Saturday night game. Some communication challenges with the property management team - I believe those to be due to the weather (it was Helene weekend). Fortunately we did not lose power. The wi-fi was not great - streaming was rough. Lovely upstairs balcony where we could enjoy the breeze and watch the action on the street.

Average stay with room for improvement

We had an alarming surprise in the neighborhood. The posted photos did not tell the real story. Interior photos were fairly accurate however host needs to post street photos. This is not an area we were comfortable staying in as a group of women. Safety was a concern on our vacation. The street parking was bad due to the run down neighborhood and limited spots available. Three and a quarter bedrooms, 4th bedroom was extremely small with a tiny child size bed, all on the second floor with one bathroom. The second bathroom is on the lower level off the kitchen. The upstairs bathroom sink did not contain a stopper in the sink, no grab bar in the shower nor a mat for the tub making it slippery to take a shower. Kitchen lacked curtains on the door and window allowing for full view into the home. There is a second home directly in the back. No privacy. The stove was dirty and we needed to buy toilet paper, paper towels, a good frying pan, salt (the contents of the salt shaker were sketchy). Limited supplies were provided. Suggest additional bedroom lighting other than ceiling fans. Additional maintenance and upkeep is needed.

Airbrushed photos & soft description a set up for disappointment when it shouldn't be

I business travel to Savannah twice a year for week long stays. I am familiar with all the city has to offer and have rented properties all over town. The photos of this property listing are so filtered they are borderline deceptive. The neighborhood is in a state of re-development that is not captured in photos and descriptions. Even though the property listed three bedrooms, they are all interconnected by a shared hallway; they also are all connected by doorways in each room. There is only one full bathroom upstairs and the other with a shower is downstairs making it awkward if you hosted multiple people. The fixtures and furnishings are sparse relative to other homes I have rented in town. The whole arrangement is more like a hostel than a victorian home. The home is in an area that could make a visitor not familiar with Savannah uncomfortable as the neighborhood is in a state of rapid change towards better. With my criticisms above, the place was as clean as it could be. If the property were represented accurately, I WOULD HAVE STILL RENTED IT and would not have the feeling of being baited and switched. This listing is a guarantee for unmet expectations that could be avoided by presenting it accurately.

Happy with The Harrison

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed at The Harrison in a group of 4 adults. The home has been renovated and is clean. Everyone had their own bedroom. We frequently used the sitting porch on the 2nd floor and is accessed via one of the bedrooms.The location of the home is very close to Forsyth Park and it is an easy walk to the Historic District (under a mile). There are also a number of local restaurants that are close by the home.Overall, I would recommend The Harrison and we would stay here again.

Loved Savannah

The house was great as was the location. Management was great to work with beforehand and while we were there. It could use a few more items in the kitchen to help get you through but other than that things were great. Highly recommend!

Savannah getaway

The property location was farther away from the heart of town than what we expected. The property was very much liked by all who stayed with me. The front porch balcony was wonderful!
