Perfect for a long weekend family vacation with guests of all ages. So many places to sit, rest, and enjoy Cazadero. The pool, hot tub, path to the creek (that we could hear from the deck all weekend), and large kitchen (with drink fridge, in addition to a large main fridge, and coffee station area) were all highlights. Thank you, Sam for being so responsive and sharing your property with us!

We had a good stay overall and the home is comfortable, the beds were great, and the space worked well for our family. Sam was very generous and allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated.There were a handful of maintenance items that could use attention, and addressing them would make the property even better and more in line with its high rating. None of these issues ruined our stay, but they were noticeable enough that future guests would benefit from some updates.With a bit of upkeep, this place could easily be a standout rental. We still enjoyed our time and appreciate the hospitality.

We just spent a lovely week here! Two families with 4 total kids, we had plenty of space, with room for all to sit down to meals both indoors and outdoors. We enjoyed exploring the creek and splashing in the lovely pool - well warmed by the sun cover and a great size for us - as well as playing board games, doing puzzles, making family meals and curling up to read in a variety of cozy spots. We hope to return!

We had an amazing stay here! Our son was attending a 2 week session at camp Caz, so we decided to make a long weekend out of the Saturday show and pickup for him. We stayed 3 nights. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable and clean. There is no AC, but with the central air fan on, a fan in each room and the windows open once it cooled off, we were never too hot. One day the temp was into the 80s, but cooled off in the evening. The tree views from every room, made the stay so relaxing. We saw many birds and jackrabbits from the windows. The pool was perfect. It was warm, clean and the setting beautiful. We cooked all our meals at the house, with the fully stocked kitchen and bbq grill. We came prepared to cook 2 nights, with a night out in Santa Rosa, but the kids and adults wanted to enjoy another pool evening. We got all that we needed from the General Store, for a perfect meal. It is only a few min. down the road and Camp Caz was about 5 min away. It could not have worked out better.

If you like peace and quiet with the lilt of a babbling creek wafting up the ravine, you will not be disappointed at La Masia. You will first travel down the Russian River valley before you turn up the hill on Cazadero Highway, a funny name for a narrow road shaded by redwoods and following a winding creek. As you gain elevation and the road narrows further, day to day life is left behind.The house at La Masia is unassuming and clearly lived in with comfort and good times. Art on many of the walls makes a pleasant aura, too. Our family (8 of us) was able to spread out nicely in the 4 bedrooms and bonus room on the first floor. There were plenty of extra pillows and blankets in closets upstairs.The common spaces are generously large, beyond what the photos portray. A nice feature in the kitchen is the long banks of labelled drawers with all we needed to create some great meals to share. Everything was ship shape.There are shelves of books and games to try out if you tire of relaxing under the de umbrellas on the comfortable furniture at one end of the pool. Our two boys enjoyed shooting hoops in the mildly warm water and we all swam or paddled about on the floaties. The spa worked fine and the cover is nice and sturdy, making it easy to feel confident opening and closing the spa.Some of us had to "connect" for work during our stay, and though the area has poor cell coverage, the good Wi-Fi worked perfectly.You'll have a great retreat at La Masia.

Sam's place was incredible! There was ample room for us to spread out (extended family get together, 6 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog), the kitchen was extremely well stocked and spacious for a rental. The highlight was absolutely the outdoor space, the kids were in the pool and hot tub nonstop throughout the week and the temperature was great. Communication was fast if we needed anything, which wasn't much and most information could be found in the house Google document shared before arrival. I would love to come back again!
