Spacious Home in Miami Springs

About Thomas M. McLean
Bill McLean and Annette Murphy McLean, owners. My family is one of the founding families of Miami Springs. We have restored our family home to better than original condition. Annette grew up in this home surrounded by grandparents, and great grandparents. The Murphy family came to Miami Springs from upstate N.Y. in the early 1920's with 'Uncle' Glenn Curtiss (3 week drive). They were one of the first families to settle in Miami Springs.
Thomas M. McLean purchased this House in 1940
Why Thomas M. McLean chose Miami Springs
Our home has been home to five generations of our family. We love the small town and comfortable atmosphere. We have enjoyed living in Miami Springs for five generations and recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking to unwind, visit Miami and enjoy a perfect vacation! This is not just a rental. We live there for part of every year.
What makes this House unique
Our home feels like home. You will find it comfortable and easy to relax in. Come stay in a quiet and relaxing environment. The Community Olympic Pool is only minutes away, The golf course is within walking distance, as is the center of the town. Great places to dine, shop, explore. Walking paths are everywhere! Historic Glenn Curtiss Mansion is now open. Enjoy Hialeah Race Track, the beaches and many other unique attractions. Miami Springs used to be a suburb of Miami. Miami has grown around it. So within this huge metropolis is this little oasis of 'olden days;' complete with a park in the middle of town with a bandstand/gazebo in the middle. Shops, markets and restaurants circle this park. This park is an easy walk from our house. On weekends there is a farmer's market set up there. When driving around the Springs I wave at other drivers and they wave back! Smile at folks in the store and they smile: Small Town! Then when we want we 'cross the boarder' into Miami and wow: giant city and all the hustle bustle fantastic places to eat and see- minutes away. I love Miami Springs! Bill McLean

Clean and comfortable.
A nice neighborhood. Easy access and within walking distance of restaurants and grocery stores. The house is charming, clean and well air conditioned. We had everything we needed.
Works well for Large Groups
We enjoyed our stay. The living room is very large and accommodated a large group for a holiday gathering. The bedrooms were large and the bunk room worked great for the kids. The screened in porch was great for playing games and enjoying breakfast. Our only hiccup was the kitchen was less supplied than we needed for the amount of cooking we did. (Needs a few new chopping knives, cookie sheets and casserole dishes)
Nice area close to airport
Very clean and well kept, rice and roomey! We enjoyed the stay in Miami and would definitely choose this house again!
Great place to stay in Miami
This was a great place to stay. The house was nice and clean. It was in a great area. It was very roomy. I would most definitely stay again. Thanks.
The house was awesome, couldn't ask fir a better location in Miami.
Wanted to say their place have that charm old houses have. Less than 10 mins from the MIA airport. Love that it's Art Deco, cute and dainty. Full kitchen supplies. AC and WIFI works great. Cedar planks closet walls. Great foiliage in front, and the backyard could have potential if a pergola was placed in back to keep sun away. I went during Miami Music Week and this house was able to accommodate all of my friends comfortably. The only reason I would give a half store is because the house have a smell of the thrift store. We bought candles for each room to help. Thank you!
Small town with great home town feel amenities. Large pool 1/4 mile away from the home.
