The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s a beautiful home, full of thoughtful, artistic details. Super clean. Easy to access, quiet street. Great pool and lounging chairs. Plenty of room for a family. Was just myself and my freshman Wildcat. Was a perfect place to land before checking into dorms. Caught a beautiful sunset too!

Perfect vacation spot

Our stay at Julie's Duffy property was absolutely all we could have hoped for. The house was clean, well furnished, and filled with local history. My family enjoyed reading about the previous owners and their passion for rock collecting. We enjoyed the mountains, the hiking, and the restaurants of Tuscon, and it was awesome to look forward to coming home to this property. It was just away from the busy streets, and the neighborhood was clean and very quiet. I'd highly recommend this house, and we'd love to come back again.

Nice house in Tucson

The king bed was kind of hard for one of us and the queen bed was kind of soft for one of us. Otherwise no complaints. Good comfortable house, nicely furnished, kitchen was good enough, clean, nice quiet neighborhood. Would come again.

Beautiful Home!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home. The house was very clean, well stocked and very comfortable. The Pool was perfect. Check in was easy and Ron the Host was wonderful to work with. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home and would definitely like to stay here again!

Wonderful stay in quiet cul-de-sac

We had a fantastic stay! What a beautiful home with wonderful history! So many lovely details to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Everything was very clean and tidy. New fluffy towels for bathroom and pool area. Kitchen was well appointed. Lots of room for all of us. And we appreciated the pool on these very hot days that Arizona is known for. Lovely home in quiet neighborhood

We stayed for a weekend in the summer. The house AC worked great and the pool was amazing. This home is very well decorated and stocked. The water pressure was great and the beds were all very comfortable. There is ample parking including covered parking. The property has great privacy and is located on a col de sac. Lovely back yard that our doggies enjoyed. I would highly recommend this place. We will stay here again for sure.

Central Tucson home on quiet cul-de-sac

We (self, spouse, and 2 adult children) stayed at this property for 5 nights, April 3 - April 8, 2024. The property was very clean, comfortable, and well decorated and appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very much at home. It was perfect and I can't think of any needed improvements. We would happily stay there again. Laurie

Cute and close to everything

Spent the week here with my parents, husband and 7yo son, everyone loved the retro vibe of the house, and while the pool was a lil cold for me (it was February) that didn't stop my son from using it and having a great time! Ron stopped by the house 1 day to check on the pool and provided us with a lot of great things to do in the area. The location was great, was close to just about everything and was a nice quiet neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

The "Gem" on Hawthorne

We were here for 19 wonderful nights during the annual Tucson Mineral and Fossil Show. The house was immaculate, the kitchen amazing, the beds comfortable. Ron, the property manager, was very helpful. This is a very special property with an interesting history. We look forward to our stay in 2025!

Loved it

We really enjoyed our stay at this unique and funky house, clean, comfortable, great back yard. Even good bike storage in the breezeway. The Kitchen is even better than the photos, nicely stocked with equipment and spices. Much appreciated. Loved the history of the "Gem House". My husband said it's one of his favorites and we have stayed in a ton of VRBO's around the world in some amazing places. But, he was just that comfortable there that he ranked it super high. Thanks for preserving the this mid century gem.
