Located in Starkville, this holiday home is in the city centre. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Moncrief Park and Long Lake, while McNeel Architecture Gallery and Mississippi Entomological Museum are cultural highlights. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at Humphrey Coliseum or Dudy Noble Field at Polk–DeMent Stadium.
It is loud at night close to the bar scene area so if a light sleeper and your staying when college kids are in school it can be loud at night until midnight. But GREAT location and very comfortable cottage!
It's a great place. Super cute and close to everything. We enjoyed our stay. Great water pressure in the shower too! Great space to hangout at and you don't have to worry about finding parking in the Cotton District when you stay here!! Bonus! Side note: We knew when renting that it would be very lively in the evenings/late night. This is not the place to rent if you are looking for a quiet location (at least Thur/Fri/Sat nights). We didn't mind but I know it might bother others. You will be right in the middle of things which is great. Easy to walk to MANY restaurants and bars.
We stayed three nights over a long weekend in this cozy little cottage. My wife and I were in town for a wedding, and the reception just happened to be at Two Brothers - just steps away! Of course, being right in the middle of the Cotton District it got pretty loud a couple of those nights. I slept like a log, but my wife stayed up until after the partying died down. Jody, the host, was very friendly and communicative, the location was amazing and convenient and close to everything, and it was all around an easy stay. If you want to be in the middle of everything Starkville and State have to offer, you can’t go wrong by staying here.
We stayed for a couple of days while my son was attending orientation at MSU. Location is great! We had everything we needed, and more. We will be back!
Quick weekend getaway to visit our MSU student. Convenient location in the Cotton District near good restaurants and nightlife. Easy walk to The Dude for a baseball game and short drive to the MSU golf course. Enjoyed our stay and hope to come back and do it again soon!
This is the best location in the middle of all the action! Walk to games, restaurants, and meet up with everything HailState!Ok, because it is in the middle of everything that means it can be loud - especially late at nite. Did not bother us at all - in fact, just the opposite - love hearing college students (and others) having good times! Enjoy it - these are the best years. The house is older - photos represent that well - but it is well kept, clean, and comfortable. We had an issue but they jumped on it to resolve and we appreciate that kind of response. We are "older" alums and stayed for a wonderful week in a fabulous location.
We love this property and stay here whenever we can. It is close to everything MSU and great restaurants, so you can park the car and walk loads of places, including sporting event locations. Wish it had a table for reading or eating, but there is literally nothing else missing from this great place to stay in the Cotton District.
The actual house is fantastic. It’s clean with two bedrooms and a nicely appointed kitchen and a nice big TV in the living room. Relay my only problem is that I was not there to party on Cotton Row and I got a little tired of young drunk people screaming, and having arguments right outside the window for the weekend. I’m sure if you were to stay on the weekdays, the experience would be flawless. Also, if you were 30 years younger than I am, you would not mind all the noise and you might be one of the people out there partying. In short, I kind of think of this as an alumni housing situation, not a middle-aged parent who’s there to watch their kid in a competition.
My mama and I came to hang out with my daughter for a few days, and this property was THE BEST! The location is prime! We walked everywhere! We enjoyed our coffee on the front porch in the mornings and slept like babies at night! Cutest place ever! My mama thoroughly enjoyed her first ever VRBO stay!

The house needed a deep cleaning. Location was great and easy to walk around Cotton District but it was very loud.
