Welcome to Tropic Winds 1003, situated on the 10th floor of the newest condominium building directly on the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico in Panama City Beach, Florida. Named the #1 Best Beach in Florida for 2011 by the Weather Channel, Panama City Beach offers you fun and excitement, but also beauty and tranquility and our 2 bedroom, upgraded condo is the perfect place to enjoy it all!

Our master suite, with private bath and king sized bed, opens onto the largest balcony on the beach. The guest room is also furnished with a king sized bed. The living area opens out onto the balcony and has a queen sized pull out sofa. All 3 rooms have large screen t.v.'s with cable access and bluray dvd players. We have a fully equipped kitchen and wi-fi, so if you have to connect to the outside world, bring your laptop along.

Our condo offers you covered, private parking just steps away from the elevator. After you arrive, you may want to check out the work out room, located on the 8th floor and overlooking the sparkling waters of the Gulf, or head down to the indoor/outdoor pool. Maybe you need to detox in the sauna or just relax in our hot tub. Whatever you want your vacation to be, you can find it here.

Tropic Winds is located 2 miles west of Pier Park, the newest shopping, dining and entertainment center on the beach. There is para-sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, banana boat rides and of course, fishing. There are some new attractions perfect for family fun such as Ripley's Believe it or Not and Gulf World. Frank Brown park offers 200 acres of recreational activities, including picnic areas, ball fields and playgrounds. The new international airport is also just a few minutes away and is served by most major airlines including Southwest. If you're feeling lucky you might take a short drive to the Ebro Greyhound racing and Poker room or perhaps enjoy dinner at the landmark Captain Anderson's restaurant.

Our condo also features a KABA keyless entry system; no more worrying about losing your key in the sand or surf.

Why Julie Brown chose West Panama City Beach

I was born in Panama City and my parents and sister have all relocated to the area. When we began looking into beach condos and heard about Tropic Winds, we couldn't say no!

What makes this condo unique

The private, covered parking is great; no more worries about rain or dangerous streets. The area is quiet but near enough to activities so as to have PLENTY to do! We enjoy walking down the street to pick up donuts for breakfast and walking back along the beach while eating them (the exercise makes eating the donuts o.k.!) Of course it's always nice to wake up to the sound of the waves and seagulls right outside your bedroom!

Stay at Tropic Winds

The carpet wasn't clean or needed replacing the apartment wasn't as clean as I expected ,There was limited cooking utensils. The entry door Jammed and locked us out of the apartment . we called management they wouldn't help we called the owner she was out of pocket and couldn't respond we ended up getting help from security to get in the apartment complex. Access to the beach was great the weather was great. Exterior was not maintained as good as it could have been. Pillows were not in great shape two were lumpy.

Owner's Response: Hi, Linda, I'm sorry to hear your stay wasn't up to your expectations. As I'm sure you noticed on our calendar, we have had a busy spring and summer. The carpets are cleaned every fall after the busy season and, prior to your stay, I placed new pots, pans, and cooking tools in the unit. There are many pillows in the closets to allow guests options on pillow fluffiness; I'm sorry none of those were to your liking. You are correct in the exterior needed some maintenance; unfortunately, we have no control over that as it is up to our owners' association to take care of that. I am still not sure about the door issue, as we had no problems with it last week when we were there. Perhaps it needs some lubricating spray. I am glad that you had nice weather as it's really rainy down there now; I hope that made up for your other inconveniences. Sincerely, Julie Brown

Perfect long weekend

Condo was just as advertised.... fantastic. Reservation process was no-hassle, condo was clean and very nice. Huge balcony overlooking the beautiful Gulf! Love the location of the condo, on the quiet end of Panama City yet only a short drive / long walk from Pier Park. Parking under complex is very convenient. Hope to stay here again, Thanks

Clean and up to date for the most part

We have stayed in this building before and didnt know it! Pool is smaller for so man floors but its nice with indoor/outdoor features. 3 elevators that are fast which is nice for so many people! This condo has one parking spot- we were told that we had to have a parking pass but it wasnt out, Julie the owner tried to help remedy this situation for us but we never got one, the building manager never brought it to us. Security was nice and always visible to us. The condo itself was clean, up to date on technology ( big tv's in every room) and the beds are super comfy! Little things need to be updated: the sliding glass door handle was broke, the iron was broke, it lists that there is a hairdryer and we couldnt find it, and I wish there were more linens. The balcony is great on this building!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review, T. I'm sorry management did not follow through with the parking pass; I will discuss this with them. I appreciate you letting me know about the other issues as well. I don't iron so would never have known it was broken ;) and I guess the hair dryer grew legs and decided to take a walk on the beach. I'll be sure to replace them both and have the door handle repaired. Thanks for staying!

Extended family vacation

We found the condo to be exactly as promised and then some. Everything was clean in excellent condition and Julie was so easy to talk to and answered any questions we had. If we ever go back we will for sure contact her again. We went parasailing, on an airboat, snorkeling, and so much more. The beach was absolutely gorgeous and we all had a fantastic vacation!
