About Elisabeth Moes
We are a lesbian couple with an adopted daughter from Guatemala. One of us (Lis) is originally from the Netherlands and the other (Carmen) is originally Cuban/Mexican; we have been living in the U.S. for many years now and we are U.S. citizens. We are both professors at universities in Boston, as well as clinicians. We bought the unit before we adopted our daughter as a getaway near Boston for ourselves and our dogs (unfortunately, condo rules prohibit pets other than those belonging to the owners), and continue to spend Thanksgiving there every year with a bunch of friends who travel in from other states for the occasion. With a young child we have connected with a number of Provincetown families and discovered more activities, including bicycling around, sailing at the West End Race Club, horse riding in nearby Truro, and the weekly music evenings in summer at the new beach station at Herring Cove with bonfires. Hanging out with friends in the afternoon at the Harbor Lounge or Provincetown Inn swimming pools (shuttle available) is another thing we've come to enjoy.
Elisabeth Moes purchased this Condo in 2002
Why Elisabeth Moes chose Provincetown
Living in Boston, we fell in love with this place when we were looking for a cozy, gay-friendly place where we could take our dogs for summers, long weekend getaways in the fall, and snowy winter breaks. The views out the windows and from the deck are simply spectacular! We love the convenience of being steps away from everything. The town beach is in front of you, and you can take long walks morning and evening. Walk out the door and you are on Commercial Street and in the midst of everything, with the library across the road. Take a right out the door and in minutes you are in the midst of the galleries in the East End, and nothing beats the fun of strolling down Commercial on a Friday evening and dropping in for gallery openings with wine and cheese and a chance to chat with the artists! Or take a left and you can people watch in front of the Town Hall, shop downtown,go dancing at one of the clubs, or grab a bite at one of the wonderful cafes and restaurants. You can walk to the West End, take a bike or bus to the dunes or the Provincetown Inn pool, or check out the other nearby beaches. Never a lack of things to do!
What makes this Condo unique
Waking up in the morning and glimpsing the sunny water from bed is a wonderful experience, and dinner looking out over the harbor lights is very romantic. Have drinks on the deck, and people watch from your private nook above the courtyard. The apartment combines both privacy and convenience. Just about everything is no more than a short walk away. The unit is a single flight of steps up from street level and in the back of the building facing the water, so noise is minimal and there is a real sense of privacy in being 'above it all'. There is wonderful old clawfoot tub to soak in, and an electric fireplace and cable TV.

We stayed at the condo during July of 2018 and found it to be one of the most charming, beautiful places we've ever stayed. The view is stunning - you can see the fishing boats, dolphin watching fleet, and fast ferry from Boston. The moon was almost full at night over the harbor. Elisabeth was extremely helpful and kind. We will return!
Thank you for your lovely review, Mary and Michael. We enjoyed having you and we hope you come back soon!
Conveniently located and nice view. Easy to work with host.
Stayed her for an event week. It’s a great location near the wharf and has a nice view of the wharf and water from the living room which also has the door to the deck. The host was very easy to work with and extremely responsive all the way through the booking and stay. My only negatives, and they weren’t that big a deal, there is limited storage for two peoples clothes and the bedroom could use curtains over the blinds in the bedroom for sleep in days.
Seamless experience; ideal location; breathtaking views.
Had a great work / play trip to this beautiful condo. The place offered the peace and quiet (and strong Internet signal) to allow us to get work done, but was steps away from the bustle of the center of town. The views alone were worth the price of admission. Lis was easy to work with and she maintains her place in great condition.
Thank you, Ryan. So glad you and your fiancé enjoyed your stay at our place. We hope you get a chance to come back soon.
Clean and cozy. Well stocked kitchen. Walking distance to everything.
Thank you, Jeanne. Glad you liked it and hope you come again soon!
All about the location and view.
We have stayed two times. The location is great -within walking distance to anything you'd need. The view is everything. We stayed once in February and, even on days when it rained or snowed, the view was magical and made it feel like a vacation.
Thank you, Casey! Delighted that you enjoy the view as much as we do. You were great guests and we hope you come again soon. Best, Lis
Wonderful experience, close to everything in a quant little place!
Glad you enjoyed yourselves and our place, Kat. Hope you come back sometime!
